My friend is a United fan first time i've talked to him today since Sunday and his exact words to me were "mate Wolves rinsed United, outplayed us all over the park, if you guys had been more clinical United would of had a pasting."

I think most sensible Man U fans would echo that Rated. I did read one earlier who thought Neves would improve as a player at United ?
I hope we field a strong team on Sunday to try and keep a winning momentum going.

Sarkic' out for the season he alongside Dion Sanderson have both been excellent for Birmingham this season.
Would like to see Sanderson start agaisnt Sheffield utd but a good chance I think dendonker or hoever may step in for Saiss.
Not sure on ait nouri comeback time but I would like also Ryan Giles to play if marcal is rested.
Also would be good to give Silva a start.
But as you say longmynd I agree a win and keep the momentum going.

Sanderson grew up in same street opposite my brothers house.
My bro watched him grow up from a baby so have extra want for sanderson to succeed with us.

Phil - like your ideas re Sheffield!
For me I want to win in the 3rd round but I also want to use it as an opportunity to rest certain key players, reward others for their contributions and give a chance to new players/fringe players.
So for me
Ruddy, Hoever, Kilman, Coady, Sanderson, RAN (If ready otherwise Giles) Dendonker, Neves, Podence, Silva, Traore

Yeah pretty much how I would like to see Thefutureisoldgold.

Just one difference Jimenez Traore and silva up top and rest podence and if we winning by at least 2 goals then bring off jiminez put trincao on and last 10 or so bring on mouthino for Traore,My thinking is to keep podence traore Jimenez mouthino fit for upcoming league games as more important than trincao and silva imo.
I do think though if we do try out a weaker team we will be 10 fold better than the weakened team put out last season agaisnt Southampton in fa Cup by nuno.

Ps Traore last 10 or so through his build a very lot less likely to pick up an injury imo.

BTW I just spoke to my brother he doesn't want to go to the match and said I can use his season ticket to get a ticket will try tomorrow but maybe too late.

I'm hoping we will have more space opened up for our attackers as I see Lage has set us up to keep possession by switching from side to side I know it's sideways passing back but some of the passing out of defence and in midfield against man utd was absolutely brilliant the best I have seen us,if we continue that I'm sure we will start to put teams to the sword.
Also I think with our low goal output once jiminez podence Traore trincao start scoring the confidence will be there which gives every attacker/goalscorer that huge boost in goal output,no better time than the cup 3rd round tie Sunday.

{Ed001's Note - Traore has a history of soft tissue injuries, particularly to his hamstrings, due to his explosive pace Phil.}

Phil - Jimenez is a v difficult one. Does he need more rest or more game time?
I don't know? As you say maybe a goal or two against a weaker opponent might do him the world of good?
Re Podence totally understand why you might want to protect him - shame refs dont! - as you know I have always been a fan and he has looked v good this last few weeks. However I want to give Silva every possible chance so put Podence and Traore alongside him as I think with Neto injured they represent our two most creative players.
Interesting issues - indeed what would you do you do with Trincao? He is obviously a super player but sadly only with one foot and if defenders don't close him down - in cricket terms he appears to me to be a flat track bully?
Re Moutinho I would be wrapping him up in cotton wool in a temperature controlled bubble with everything he wants and needs.
Can we drag another season out of him - I think if we manage his minutes maybe we could?
He really has been a sensational signing for us!

Oh cheers Ed001 knowing that now I would bring on mouthino for Traore for last 1/2 hour or even start trincao and have Traore on the bench.
Not sure what is happening with trincao is he staying with us or going back to Barcelona mind freeze.

I see that Sheffield utd could make it hard for us to break down and it be a dull boring game but would like to think we can score at least 2 goals.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome Phil. It is very common among players like him, that is why they lose their pace, usually, at a younger age than players who had less.}
