WhatI don’t understand is how we keep putting ourselves under pressure by playing short little negative passes to players in tight positions which nearly always result in conceding possession in our own defensive third. Moutinho, Dendonker and Marcel were main culprits. Didn’t cost us today but could do so in future. Need to encourage our players to move into the spaces in front of them rather than turn and play negative simple back passes. Movementmoff the ball is poor, resulting in la k of options for player on the ball.
Hopefully analysis of the game will show the areas in which we have to improve. Lessons learned by back three from last week as they were really good today especially when defending set pieces.
