Ffp would have certainly impacted on our spending especially with having no fans for over a year, I see idiots on Twitter saying they buy anymore tickets, tops etc. Fine by me as that gives us true fans chance then.
Next Summer I feel things will be very different as the Ffp punishment will be lifted then we will see how serious Fosun really are.
Signing wise most rumoured signings were just media clickbait the club has never revealed its targets to the media until the deal is done.

Funny Rated, I was thinking FFP would have a large impact on Wolves spending. Considering the little transfer activity I believe this years MO for Bruno is survival in the PL.

On a positive note we retained key players that were linked to various clubs, that is a victory in itself.

My main concern is losing Boly and Saiss in the AFCON of Jan 2022. Really needed that elusive CB.

Time to make the best of what we have. Wolves ay we!

So by next summer there’s going to be someone in place handling the transfer business of the Club who doesn’t waste Millions of pounds on average squad players, players for the future and who doesn’t sell our star players for less than they’re worth without even getting a sizeable amount of the fees paid upfront. Any saleable assets will probably be sold in the next window and any player with ambition will want out by then, the summer window you’re so looking forward too is a long, long, way away.

Completely agree Rated. I also agree Debbie that this year is a consolidation season whilst the club establishes itself in the PL. Since Wolves got promoted only Villa (after a goal line tech failure) and Leeds last season have managed to avoid relegation back to the Championship.

This window was always going to be a difficult one with all clubs having some kind of fall in revenue, Brexit migration rules taking effect as well as the FFP issues. Some clubs barely did any business - Everton and Newcastle being two examples. I also look at the £57m Arsenal spent on a defender and keeper, and think we did better business with the £12m or so we spent for equivalent players.

How many times does this need to be told to you Oxley, Jota wanted to go end off considering his form at the time £40million wasn't bad business, no more of our star players have been sold we still have Neves, Traore, Jiminez, Boly, Neto etc.
I think Sa will be better than Patricio he just needs to be a bit more alert but already he comes out, commands his box, doesn't delay in launching the ball upfield to get a attack going.
We have to abide by the ffp if you ran our club we'd be bankrupt and possibly kicked out of the league, we simply can no spend, spend, spend at the moment.
Our time will come just keep the faith I understand it's frustrating.

FFP doesn’t stop the Club making improvements to the stadium and bringing it up to Premier League standard.

Why is every window difficult for Wolves? Why do some fans keep making excuses on behalf of Fosun? They bought a Club at a knockdown price with a stadium in need of modernisation, put some money in to achieve promotion, stumbled on a good Manager/ Head Coach (let him and us down) promised the Earth and have actually delivered nothing, if there’s three worse teams than us this season we’ll be lucky and if anyone can name three worse run Clubs I’d be amazed.

I can name more than 3 worse run clubs without thinking about it too much: Blackburn, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United, Arsenal.

Fosun have delivered nothing? 4 successive seasons in the top flight and European football. Previous owner delivered 3 successive years in the top flight battling relegation and a double relegation. Sir Jack gave us 1 year in the top flight and pulled the plug financially.

You're right that they can invest in the stadium outside of FFP. Personally I would have liked it to have been done sooner, but I can understand the reluctance to reduce capacity when we were in Europe and then CV hit. Currently there are labour shortages and building costs are very high meaning the business case for improving the stadium has to be reassessed. That's not even taking into account red tape with land ownership, planning permission and anything else going on behind closed doors. Things aren't always as black and white as we'd like them to be.

The fans parliament maybe if you could find out where to get the minutes from the latest meeting or meetings that might give you the answers you seek Oxley.
I haven't a clue but maybe someone has.

Delivered nothing are you serious?
European football in our first season back in the Premier league, we're in our fourth succesive season in the prenmier league, got us players like Neves, Neto, Jiminez, Boly etc.

They have already applied for planning permission for a 50,000+ stadium to be buolt at Molinuex they have been crystal clear ideally they want Wolves to stay at the Mol but would consider a new location if red tape got in the way.
It's upto the council now.

Come on Oxley mate you're better than this.

Hi Debbie,
Just thinking about your post with boly and ssiss away in the AFCON,
If Dion Sanderson starts and plays well regular for Birmingham is it possible if an emergency we could recall him back?
Alex, Rated do you know?

Debbie yes yes yes wolves ay we👍.

Not sure Phil mate but even so we'd still have Coady, Mosquera, Killman, Marcal, Hoever, Dendonker, Marques who can all play CB.

Not sure if there is a recall option Phil. There probably is but I doubt it would be used for AFCON.

As Rated says there is cover and how long the Boly and Saiss are away depends on how far those countries progress. Potentially they could only miss a couple of games.

Also the January window opens so if the club want to bring in cover they can agree deals early in the window, but I believe this is unlikely unless there are outgoings in defence or a severe injury crisis.

We still have space for a loan player in the squad, so who knows what may come in during the January window.

The AFCON runs between 9th Jan and 8th Feb 2022. So if either Morocco or Ivory Coast go all the way to the final, Boly and Saiss will miss a maximum of 2 PL matches: Southampton on the 15th and Brentford on the 22nd Jan.

Our matches in Jan/ Feb are:
01/ 01/ 22 - Man Utd PL
08/ 01/ 22 - FA Cup 3rd Round
15/ 01/ 22- Southampton PL
22/ 01/ 22 Brentford PL
05/ 02/ 22 - FA Cup 4th round
08/ 02/ 22 - Arsenal PL.

Thank you Phil, Jas, Rated, Alex for some sound common sense. Oxley. Take a break mate, let rationale take over from emotion. We have come a long way, and we are a well run club. Ask Portsmouth.

When results start picking up I'm sure everyone will be smiling.
The international break is bad timing after the window closed Tuesday.
The next game can't come quick enough for me I guess the same for everyone.

Wimbornewolf 👍👌.
