I was up for selling Traoré but now I hope his stays! Fickle from me yes but if he can sort his end product out . loved him today shame about result but thought wolves played well! Just need to stick it in the net!

Two games now and Traore has missed gilt edge chances I hope he is not missing so he can get his move. I think we should sell him because I believe he wants away. Performance is good but we need players who can finish all the chances we are creating.

Traore should have scored in both games.
In fairness to him the Leicester and Spurs keepers are no mugs. He still should have scored. He wouldn’t miss on purpose to get a move but understand your exasperation Baza. In Bruno we trust. We’ll be ok just going to take a bit of time.

Haha, can someone explain how missing good chances would help you get a move exactly?! Surely it's the opposite, teams are more likely move for him if he could add that to his game?! He needs to learn to play to his strengths, which finishing never will be. In both the last two games he could have VERY easily rounded the keeper and passed it into an open goal. Let's hope Lage can get him working on it 👍.

Although we lost I was optimistic about us for the season having been told we were the better side. Now that I have watched the highlights on Sky I can only assume big 6 syndrome has started with the editing. Can anyone who went today give me an honest assessment of the game?
Cheers.

We were the better side raging. They couldn’t handle Traore’s pace but his final ball a bit wayward and he missed that chance. Need to get more bodies in their box as they had seven or eight in there much of the game. Raul
found it a bit tough and need to get others closer to him. Trincão had some nice touches and ran rings round them at times but didn’t really create much. Neves best midfielder today but shooting was off. Marcal was a threat but again not enough players in the box to aim for. Fabio had header on target when he came on but no power behind it. Once Spurs scored they shut up shop. They did look like they may get another at times and then all Hope would have gone. Bruno is playing better football and will get the best out of them.

Thanks E from Wombourn. Looks like we could have had a penalty too.

Point well made about Traore using his pace to round a keeper when in one on one, as opposed to trying to side foot it into a corner. As he doesn’t disguise which side he is going to shoot, pulling wide and side-footing into an empty net looks his best option. Next weeks training drill.
Re. training, I have really been impressed by goalkeeping drills shown on Wolves TV. Roberts appears to be getting a really good response from our four keepers. Good to see them all fully involved in all the drills. Keepers have to be so good with their feet today and the drills Roberts is using is certainly working on that element. Good to see that Sa replicated a number of things they have been practicing: attacking the ball, claiming and then quickly distributing to front men.
To be fair, despite losses I have been impressed by most everything I have seen of Lage, our two performances and the intensity of the training. This league is so dependent on fine margins: penalty decisions today being a prime example!
Will be really interested in who plays against Forest. Think there is an argument to stick to same back 3/ 5 and to make changes ahead of them, with the intention of giving front 3 an opportunity in final 30 minutes to try to get a goal and a confidence boost. Perhaps go with Dendonker and MGW in centre midfield.

Good point guys about pace, with Traores speed he would have a high chance of forcing a professional foul from the keeper when one on one I would have thought.

I think what adds to making Traore predictable is he seems to have no left foot. When he's one on one it makes it easy for a keeper to guess what he's going to do. I think the reason he's playing on the left is so he can cut inside and shoot on his stronger footer.

His miss yesterday was like he'd over compensated for putting the same opportunity wide against Leicester, but credit where it's due - he got in the positions top have the change and against 2 of the best keepers in the league.

Yesterday was the most entertained I've been watching Wolves for a long time. Bruno has a lot still to do but the foundations are being laid and the goals will come. Forest should be an opportunity to build a bit of confidence, and if Southampton can get something off Man Utd then so can we.
