Think it's fair to say that the gap between us and Man City is bigger than between us and Chorley.
Will we get relegated. NO
Are we playing relegation football. YES
By that I mean the teams at the bottom are playing as well or better than us. Fortunately they had a much worse start to the season than us.
Proper recruitment needed in the summer to stop the slide.

Oh behave Shares! Before last night we were u beaten in five Prem matches, three of which we won! In fact in the last month alone we have accumulated as many points as Sheff Utd all season! Sorry but that's just NOT relegation form so no point telling me it is! If every team that gets humped by the best team in the world is suddenly relegation cannon fodder then there will be no one left in the league! Look last night was poor all round no arguing that BUT we played what is probably one of the best squads this league has seen for a VERY long time and with 20 minutes to go we were drawing 1-1?! I don't mind peeps hitting the panic button when we lose to Brom but if we do it when we lose to City then frankly the clubs on a hiding to nothing! 👍.

Great post Bully’s.
I think it’s time to experiment with formations and personnel even if we lose a few games. We’ll have players returning from injuries in the coming weeks so let’s use the squad (including the youngsters) to see where we’re going and see if a few players rise to the challenge and hopefully save us some money in the transfer market this summer. The planning for next season starts now.

I remember the day when E and S only covered Wolves - I know It was a long time back (1970’s) and they now cover Albion, Villa and Walsall ( what about BCFC? and it seems the City v Wolves match was covered by the Villa reporter. Has young Mr Edwards been taken ill? And young Mr Judah, where was he? I certainly hope those 2 young men are fit and well ( together with their families) . This was the biggest match of the season guys! I for one really missed you!

Edwards has a week off, it's his birthday and anniversary this week. Not sure about Judah.

Bullys
I didn't say we would get relegated. I said we were playing relegation style football and explained my reasoning. So no point telling me we're not. We've been extremely lucky, to put it mildly, in recent games and even last night at 1.1 we were extremely lucky not to be 4 behind.

YES Man City are a brilliant team and there's no shame in losing to them but last night was one of the worst performances against them that I've seen all season from anyone. However, it may yet have a silver lining. If that doesn't stir our players into being stronger, braver and take more personal responsibility, then nothing will.

My point is Shares that you can't judge it off last night, this is a team that beat Liverpool 4-1 AT Anfield. We looked like what we are last night, a team that still desperately needs a striker. Hard to be taking out attack seriously when they don't start with one but it was clearly tactical and if we'd nicked a point we would have all been happy with it.
I don't need to tell you we aren't playing relegation football cause the stats show it. To say we were lucky to go five unbeaten when three of them were wins in the Prem is not especially realistic either. Let's see how we do agaisnt Villa and take it from there. No matter where we were in the league going into the game our season shouldn't be defined on how we play agaisnt what is frankly already a Championship winning team!

Your idea of relegation form must be different to other peoples as according to the PL form guide over the last 6 games, we are 4th behind Man City, Chelsea and Leicester (on goals scored) therefore there are 16 teams in worse form than us including, Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Lots of fine margins in games especially in the premier league. Many we could have lost and have taken points from and likewise many we should have won and dropped points in. Over the course of the season you always hope it evens out.

Good point North Bank re-E an S. If we go by the traditional Black Country then only Wolves and Walsall should be covered, Albion at a push. For me Albion are one of three teams in Birmingham. Villa should not be covered at all. Likewise Birmingham Post and Mail should not cover Wolves. It's all down to money and advertising sales.
