Hi all, after reflecting on last night's match I've come to the conclusion the performance depends on whether you're pessimistic or optimistic. To the former it was a shocking, negative performance and we got what we deserved. To the latter it was almost a superb tactical masterclass that worked until the last few minutes when 2 individual mistakes cost us. To frustrate them, grow into the game 2nd half as normal then cause problems. Yes it's obvious we need improvements with a cb, attacking mf and a striker priority in the summer. Jose I feel was sacrificed for more pace on the break but I would start him Saturday. Injuries have cost us this season with replacements not good enough. I thought Hoever was brought to play right cb and put Boly back on the left when fit. Hopefully beat the vile and push on for a top 10 finish. COYW.

South banker you've hit the nail on the head for my optimistic view. The team was the same i'd have started with, except i'd chosen kilman instead of hoever, I felt donker would have been used in front of kilman seiss coady and dropping as nesscessary, half time I wanted hoever off for fabio, but of course it had to be Johnny. But the desired effect worked we were back to 1-1. Adama neto getting some freedom, fabio making good runs (still too young weak) . I was optimistic and at one stage thought we could nick it. But adama last night wasn't running. Weather he was instructed to I don't know but going round in a circle trying to take on players in our defensive third was crazy and it cost us. Even then I thought we may crawl back and get a draw but the removal of neves for the relatively inexperienced and as turned naive otowasie finished us off. No, not spectacular not entertaining but we had been in with a shout until our own undoing. One caveat to this was the astonishing performance of Rui, but for him wed have taken a hiding. So the old rosey glasses were quite smug until we fogged them up in the last 10mins. Gutted this morning but already thinking of vile sat.

Just got out of a&e at the city hospital metal in my eye every post is good reading.
Like a bear with a sore head this morning.
I too thought the same as you Abbey.
I thought we may hang on at 1-1 and may even nick it especially with Patricia making top drawer saves.
Traore too frustrating the shot he blazed over the crossbar should of been on target.
Onwards and upwards bring on the villa.

Good work ethic Phil. Hope your gaff appreciates you being so conscientious. You're definitely not "swinging the lead"! 😅.

Glad you're ok Phil, you take care pal we need you on our team. The post about Patricia and drawers made me smile. Better than last night's game. Frankly we did better than I expected until the last few minutes. The money they have on the bench is scary enough! Villa I expect something from didn't expect anything from City.

Hope you okay Phil. Don't think there will be anymore money in the close season, especially if we go down. If we stay up, sell Neto, Traore and Neves to bolster squad.

I'm alright thanks I finished work early done my best but the pain lol (belfast) swinging the lead was too much. I got C.V. eye drops from chemist and it stopped the pain.
SQ the pain of getting relegated and no money to spend in the summer I can live with better than I felt today, lol we are wolves fans we are used to disappointment.
I spoke to my brother and he laughing taking the mick, his words I have lifted his spirits me his brother suffering with eye pain today ha ha.
Respect and admire you all whatever happens how poor we play whatever, we all remain the same Wolves fans.
3 points agaisnt villa would be welcome.
I'm expecting us to come out all guns blazing at villa and put the 1st half bore athon and last 10 15 minutes collapse behind us.

It's like South Banker says you are either optimistic or pessimistic about last nights match I think the same applies to all other matters with wolves.

Just think how close we were to an upset last night, may not be pretty but if adama hadn't fired wildly, then after lost the ball be silly, ditto otawasie. 2 mistakes cost us a 4-1 from 1-1 possibly 2-1. Why so upset? Be optimistic, we set out to do a job, it got cocked up and punished by the best team in Britain by far. 1 defeat in 6 prem games with our injury list cv etc. Bring on vile, don't worry, be positive. Onwards and upwards COYW.
