In many ways, this is the hardest defeat to take this season. If you get knocked out the Cup, having given it your best go, fair enough, but Nuno chucked it in the bin. Does he not remember, or understand, or care, how much that run to the Semi a couple of years meant to us? And to sacrifice it all for a meaningless reverse fixture in the league, in a few days time? Not been this distraught about a defeat for a while now!

Should have played the strongest team. Got enough time to recover. No doubt Moutinho will start away at Southampton and if he can play two games in three days so can Neto and Traore. Winning breeds confidence and lifts the atmosphere. Nuno just ended our season. Even the West Brom result could be forgiven if we had a real go for the cup.

It's been a great ride with Nuno, and I'm sure he will be forever loved by the Wolves family. However tonight is the time that enough is enough! NEW SOLUTIONS! It is also time Jeff and Fosun come clean, and differentiate between promises and truth. Maybe C.V. has had a huge impact on their 'project'! Just tell us how it is, and as fans we can prepare for future disappointments, because your 5 year plan is going tits up! But thanks for trying. FWAW.

TettenhallToad.
I get your disappointment but what I don't get is why Sunday is a meaningless fixture. It is a vitally important fixture. Premier league survival is absolutely paramount.
Firstly, would WWFC rather win the FA Cup or choose premier league survival. No brainer ay it.
Secondly, on our current form, was there more chance of going all the way in the cup or getting relegated.
Again no brainer.
Relegation for this club would be nothing short of disastrous. We would not only lose our status among the English elite and all that goes with it, but we would lose most of this team. A team that most of us were saying was the best we've seen at wolves in 50 years or more, not so long ago.
We are shocking at the moment. So much so, that there was zero chance of us winning the cup but every chance of us ending up in a relegation battle.
The premier league has to come first. IMO.

I agree, questions need asking about tactics but for me recruitment is now the major issue staring us in the face.
If Nuno stays on for next season, and giving the situation regards him not being able to see his family, which must be hard, the spine of the team needs strengthening and that's before we might have to look at replacing Neto or Traore. I know a few of you on here are slating Traore but for me he's been playing most of the season with a knock and alongside Neto looks like our only option for a goal at the moment.
For me, we will need a central defender, an attacking midfielder and a striker to compliment Raul, I don't think Willian is the answer.

Shares I get the point you are saying but tell me this do you honestly think that performance and result will help in anyway with the result on Sunday?! Before this game Southampton had let in 16 goals in there last four games! All we've done is given them a lift in confidence, ya know with the win and first clean sheet in a month! Oh and now they know that it took 79 minutes for us to even have a shot on target and that's at home! Also what we've done is possibly reset our own confidence which was actually starting to pick back up! Oh add to that this result just now adds pressure on the team to get result on Sunday to make up for the absymal performance! Winnings habitual and last season Nuno new that better than any manager in this league, we played around 60 games with less rotation than in one game tonight! I'm sorry but however you cut this it was poor management! It was also selfish, we deserved a cup run after the dross we've sat through this season! 😭.

There is Zero chance of us being relegated, when we put our best team out, but there was a decent chance of us winning the FA Cup, especially given the next round draw. Tonight was a disaster on so many fronts.
