I'd like to try and put the current situation into a bit of perspective.

Had our current form been achieved with our strongest possible squad then this would be clearly unacceptable and questions should rightfully be asked of Nuno.

If, as some suggest, we go out and buy 5 new players, what would that do to the youngsters confidence?

The plan was to integrate Silva, Vitinha, Hoever etc slowly but surely ensuring they learnt off the more experienced players.

Circumstances have dictated the need to play the youngsters when they clearly aren't ready but what is the solution? Who else can we play? We can't just chuck money at the problem because let's face it, the players we all want won't be available because they are doing well at their current club. We could bring someone like Diego Costa in but could we really justify the wages on a player who with the greatest of respect, is past his best.

If the youngster didn't play, some would question why and say what was the point of buying them but as they are playing, but not to the level of seasoned professionals, what do you expect from them.

The Chelsea game is a write off as we will still be without Jimenez, Jonny, Podence and Marcal.

Personally, I think if the crowds were in the stadium, the performances wouldn't be as bad as we would be cheering them on. We will stay up. Fosun have stated that targets need to be altered thus season due to the long injury list. There is very little money being generated by the club. These are very unprecedented times the likes of which I doubt we'll ever see again in our lifetime.

The players need our backing now more than ever.

We look at the players as only players and do not see them as being humans with feelings. Most are in a foreign country away from their nearest and dearest. This will have an effect on them. I know it does on me as my mum lives alone, aged 81 and in the last 12 months I've managed to see her once.

Hopefully this C.V. is overcome soon and we can all meet up and discuss our views face to face. Until then let's do what we can to support not just our beloved club but everyone who needs our support.

Good post Jas
Remember though other clubs have very similar problems to deal with in the current situation and most are not looking as forlorn and inept as us.

Great post Jas M.

I bet every Wolves fan before the 1st lockdown was more worried about the day that Nuno eventually left us than anything else. And hoping that day would be 10 years away.

Now on here and other social media some Wolves followers (I refuse to call them fans or supporters) want him out and criticise Fosun.

Be very careful what you wish for.

It is time to support our club, the owners, Nuno, his staff and all of our players.

Top post as always Jas and I agree completely with the sentiment. All I would question is with all that you've said in mind WHY oh WHY is Nuno being SO pig has headed with the formation?! It just seems so obvious to everyone that we aren't ready for this change but still he persists, why?! He said previously that all the top four teams dominate possession (59% or above) and that's what we need to get to but let's be honest this is taking running before we can walk to a whole new level! Sadly I think the system actually may have worked with Jota and Jimenez up top (maybe that's the point Nunos trying to make? ) but saying post match that this is the best system availible with this squad is getting to the point of bizarre for me?! I do hope we get to back to how we play, even Hoddle said it our entire system was based on Coadys free role. He has the best long pass stats for any cb in this league and we are playing him in a system where his only option is a five yard pass to the left?! I would even get it if we start with four then go back to five, I honestly believe that if we'd reverted to five at the back in both today's game and the Brighton game at half time we'd have six more points and be as good as safe now! 😕.

The only thing I can think of BullysBoy is that during the very small pre season we had, Nuno came out and said he wanted to move away from the 3 centre back formation as for the previous 3 seasons we were used to inviting teams to attack us almost constantly and we were playing counter attacking football. He wanted us to play more expansive football. Maybe the injury to Boly forced his hand initially but these injuries are very quickly derailing our season so maybe going back to what we know is the only solution for now and we can tinker with the formation once some of the injured players are back.

Sevlow1967.
You're bang on. Nuno and fosun are the best thing for decades. I do feel however, we've lost that pack mentality. Nuno is our pack leader. He just needs to start acting like it again. He looks forlorn at the moment. Too many changes to soon? Nuno not getting the players he wanted? The lack of fans has hurt us more than most. Nuno's mood is filtering down to the team. Our players and manager need to to man up and prepare for the battle ahead.

Good post Jas and you're right a bit of perspective is required. No it was a poor result to be true but it hurts most for local pride we can get over it. We had what 27 shots that was great but sadly not in the net but at least we created them. A decent striker and we may well have won. Not to be though I always thought this was going to be a tough one to win just because of the ale House football Sam plays to try to bully you out of it.

We're a bit lightweight and let's be honest it the type of team we've struggled with since we came back into the Prem. End of the world course it isn't it's a game of football! We're surrounded by death around the world so no it's not that important. Though I would like a striker that could hit a cows backside with a banjo!
