Posters complaining that we overpaid for Silva but maybe it was just another instalment on the Neves transfer from Porto as we were told we only paid £15.8m for a £50m player and he helped to get us into the Premier League?

I don't believe we overpaid for Fabio. He is the future and has had to step up because of our small squad. His time is in a couple of years. From what I have seen he moves well and gets into positions, the goals will come in time. It is unfair to expect a prolific goalscorer, when that was not the immediate expectation from the club. In time £35m will be cheap. I understand the frustration in missing goals and wanting a big scorer to replace Raul, but one of those are like hen's teeth and a lot more than £35m.
