Hi first time post, I follow the banter with interest. Always a Wolves supporter first season at the Molineux 1958 yes I am an old un but always faithful . Born and lived dare I say (Birmingham) until1987 moved to Cornwall and Spain now live in Norfolk.
Back in 1958 an older neighbour took me down to St Andrews hoping I would become a supporter but my heart was already a Wolf. Anyway I am rambling just wanted to say imo since Traore's introduction into the team our forward passing game has suffered its like a one man show at times, yes he can be breathtaking at times but teams are getting the measure and forcing him to cross too close to the byline
and his crosses aren't as good as last season. I was a great fan of Jota and was sad to see him go, he carried the ball so well
and caused lots of problems but with little support other than Raul that's why we really need a fast offensive midfielder who can support Neto or Podence, had my say looking forward to a much better showing on Sunday all the best to everyone.

Hello and welcome Norfolkwolf to the site.
Agree with your point about Traore.
I think once our season is more up and running we will be fine.
Looking forward to a win and a much improved performance Sunday.
All the best to you pal.
FWAW.

Agree with point made by Norfolk. My frustration with Traore is the fact that he nearly always receives the ball when he is standing still. Marking someone who is static is relatively easy. More problematic is the fact that him being static and therefore marked, reduces our options moving forward. His lack of movement also limits the space for overlapping wing back to find space. This in turn means Coady is less effective, with his diagonals to the wing back as they can't find space.
Option would be to play him as a second striker, creating more space on the wings. Biggest problem is that he is potentially a match winner an d our best option for creating chances. A dilemma for Nuno but one he is going to have to sort quickly as our stats for shots and shots on target are poor this season. Fulham appear to have problems at centre of their defence, in order to exploit that we are going to have to improve our offense and find some options to our Traore-centric play.

Have to agree about Traore receiving the ball in static positions. This is surely a waste of his speed. Also other teams are working him out. There was one particularly great moment against Citeh when he looked like last year's Traore, but that's it so far. Jota was great at receiving the ball on the move and running with it.
