A rumour I have heard
Nuno would still ideally like to sign a rwb but if one isn’t found adama will take this position up looking at playing 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 which ever one you want to call it

This is something they have working towards in training I’m told as they think Podence and Neto can fill in the cam. Silva or Neto can be used as a striker (nuno still wants another striker in before Oct 5). Joao will swap with Dendonker as and when seeing fit. Weirdly I can see this having a good balance because when adama or Vinagre bomb on Dendoncker role will be to drop in and make up the defensive side. Interesting if this how we play.

A formation I think would work is 4231 gives those 2 deep midfielders to cover defens allowing our fullbacks to surge forward, the 3 behind our striker support our attack dropping deep if needed.
But i'm just a fm game expert lol Nuno knows the rl side of things and in him we shall trust.

I would worry if we did that because I think we would restrict neves too much if he was playing cdm but like you say in Nuno we trust let’s hope his new contact gets over the line soon.

Despite reservation re Traore at RWB and def RB I do like both formations. Both give us a lot of solidity but flexibility re attack.
Ollie surely Moutinho still plays as 1 of of the 3 in mid rather than the new lad as yet but maybe Silva gets game time ahead of Jota. Certainly agree that Dendonker wold allow the WBs more freedom. The trade off being the loss of the 3rd attacking player - Podence or Neto or Jota - if Silva plays.

So I think Saiss will start. Adama on the right wb, yes. The only other contender even remotely close is Oskar.

I think Adama will start at rwb behind Podence. What happens behind him is likely to be interesting! I can see any of the new lads starting except maybe Mercal depending on his fitness and how it's gone in training. Anyway that's my 50pence worth. Come on Monday evening and COYW! 😀😀😀.
