Top six places are sorted for the coming season, Man City or Liverpool followed by Chelsea and Man U with Arsenal and Spurs tucked in behind, can’t see why other Clubs would spend vast amounts of money only to challenge for seventh place along with Leicester, who for reasons known only to them keep selling their players to the Clubs we’re trying to challenge, they could at least have the decency to sell them off to European Clubs and do us all a favour.

Why so pessimistic? Didn't Arsenal finish below us last season. Just because they've signed a few players don't mean anything at this stage. We also missed out on 6th place on goal difference.

Can't believe we considered Nelson Oliveira again ☹️☹️
Thank god they rejected us.

So much hinges around contracts, if nuno doesn't commit and fosun cash in on our assets then I can see big problems, which is why Paul tams comments amaze me. Get nunos signature and the dream goes on and with some additions and a kill off the game approach instead of defending 1-0 leads well be challenging again. We have a pack, we have a family let's all grow together building on the amazing run we've been on. COYW.

Nelson Olivier is not a step forward in my opinion, we need quality to push on, Nuno as stated we need players and we need to get them in quickly, the side played to it's limit last season and needs improving, if we are to push on and break into top 6 like Fosun want, we need to get shut of some players who have reached there limit in my opinion, splash some cash on quality to get what we want is the only way with the resources and promises Fosun keep making, last transfer window could of been better to push on, let's see what happens this window.

Given the recent comments about finances and transfers at Wolves I can't help thinking that we won't see the upward trajectory continuing this coming season. Year 1 under Fosun was a washout when the first choice manager took the Spain job. Years 2 to 4 under Nuno have seen remarkable improvement each season.

If we have to draw our horns in financially, how can we challenge the free-spending top six as we did last season? Leicester have succeeded at this twice but probably only temporarily. There is a strong bias by media and officialdom in favour of the elite clubs and this just makes it harder for Leicester and Wolves etc.

SQ, to be fair, you said last season would be a struggle, and the season before too.

It's always going to be a hard season trying to get in the top 6 and not just getting there but staying there.
My first target would be to finish higher than Leicester who have a good manager and players. It will imo become the top big 8.The right signings added to what we have we have a good a chance then any to get top 6.We had our key cb Boly out injured for time and still done better than previous season if we have a fit boly all season we can have more of a chance just on that one factor.
All is good all the optimist but that's the way it is for me.

Deep- the way Lec succeeded at it which is with VERY shrewd recruitment! Look a Chilwell, they will make a fortune on him! Then there's Maddison who signed for £20m and it was four times that now. We will still move forward but we were NEVER going to be able to maintain speed for what has frankly been a whirlwind level of improvement since Nuno arrived. Ironic really as due to his impeccable work some have fooled themselves that we have outgrown Nuno, I do hope we don't find out how wrong those people are the hard way! 👍.

Spot on BullysBoy, I do read some posts with disbelief and wonder if a lot of the negative posts are by younger supporters that have not been through the grinder over the last 40 years.
Fosun have made investment like we have not seen before at this club.
They have recruited a top draw manager and dragged us from mediocrity and stagnation.
I often have a difference of opinion with team selection and on occasions tactics, but I would not want any other manager in the world at the moment and that's saying something.
Its not just his formation/ selection/ style of play its the way he manages the press, his rapport with the players his professionalism is reflected in the demeanor of the players the belief they can win every game and the work ethic on the pitch, this all comes from being drilled by the coach's under Nuno.
When I see comments from the players or Nuno its the same humble attitude its about the team not the individual every player seems to have the hunger to improve, they have all bought into project Wolves.
I have not seen this sort of unity at Wolves since the late 70's long may it last, it may take some time with imposed spending restrictions but i'm confident we will get to the top if we keep hold of Nuno.
