No striker no ambition. anyone that knows football will know bonatini is shocking and is league 1 standard. But in Nino you trust until it hits the fan. then its sack, sack, sack or raid pitch and kick billboards. I'm sure that most fans and indeed some experts were saying at the end of last season that our squad would easily hold its own in the PL. We've got rid of N'Diaye but brought in Jimenez who is an experienced international player and Rui Patricio who is one of the best 5 keepers in the world. In that respect, we are stronger than ever. Let's bring in the right players who can improve the squad. You're negativity amazes me as the season is still over a month away but you are already slating them. Is there any chance of backing them instead. Let's not forget what was expected of the squad last season, mid table finish with an outside chance of making the play offs. Nuno has come in and revolutionized the whole club and we need to get behind him and the team. The improvements are such that this time last year, most were calling for Conor Coady to be sold but one year on, he's being touted for an England call up. We don't need a major overhaul of the squad, just a few additions in the right area to improve us further.

Just to confirm, Salah, Sterling, De Bruyne and Mane are not strikers but know where the back of the net is. It's about getting the best out of the team that matters. How many goals did our non strikers, Jota and Cavaleiro scored between them last season. About 30 goals. Not bad in my opinion.

Coven mate calm down! We’re going to start Jimenez over Bonatini. We will also get some more players in who can play striker. Just be patience in 4 weeks if we haven’t signed a striker then you can post this back to me!

Covenwolf can see your frustration but to say no striker no ambition is ridiculus just really hope i'm not sitting by fans like you this season coming. after the awesome season we just had playing the football we did gives me the confifence in the club and manager whether we sign the striker to your approval or not. if I were you coven keep your ridiculus comments to social media not down the match!

I fully understand what Coven wolf is saying, I raised concerns about the Bonatini signing last week and got abused for being negative. I think it is sad that we can’t express opinions as fans, we all want the best from the team and it is reasonable to raise concerns about a striker who didn’t score in the Championship after 4th December. This is a different level, we have got a top quality manager and I think it is fair to want players of that standard. All the other signings are quality and look good fits for the top flight but we all know that goalscorers help keep you up.

Imo paulc northampton I would rather see wolves succeed rather than fail and then say I told you so. be better imo to keep the faith with nuno. to sign a goalscoring striker in the premier league is going to be highly unlikely something I have accepted as to me you watch football enough you will understand this.

Just because we haven't signed a top class forward doesn't mean we haven't tried to. With a month left of the transfer window players will be mulling over offers and the World Cup players will still be on their holidays. Some posters just need a bit of patience.

We had this conversation last close season and we signed Leo and everything was ok now he's still there and we have Mir (yes him) and we have Jiminez and we can play Neves Cav Costa as a front 3 oh and Zyro still on our books so is Gladon.

I don't think Nuno really wants an out and out striker. It just doesn't fit his way of play. He prefers hold up guys who can link with midfield. Afobe was an afterthought under pressure to see us through to promotion. Even if he did want one there are only 2 in the premier league who scored 10 or more last season we could afford Murray and Wood. There are over a dozen who failed. The rest are £50m+. So does he gamble on an untried striker at that level or continue his way of playing? As a previous poster pointed out there are many midfielders in the PL who scored 10+. Let's hope we have some. I think we have.
