According to Turkish media Besiktas are close to signing Sarabia from zwolves no fee mentioned.

If this is true then I really am getting to breaking with this transfer policy! Between Sarabia and Neto that's pretty much half of last years assist that we seem to be pretty much giving away?! ?

Bullseye 111 according to reports were after Forbs from Ajax how much do they know but Wolvesare seeking at least 3 or 4 new signings before the window closes.

I'm afraid this smacks of bad planning. They must have known for at least two months that there was likely a need for replacements yet it seems nothing has been lined up which makes me suspicious that there is a different financial agenda somewhere.

I think we've just got to see where we are on deadline day, I'm not optimistic at the moment. The whole window is starting to look like we've lost control.

When have Wolves ever made public their transfer intentions? This window is just following the same pattern as all the other since Fosun took over. We get to hear about a transfer if and when it happens or at least when the deal is done and dusted.
I'm sure they are working on deals, some will happen, some won't. The wisdom of selling your best players before you sign others is the questionable strategy. The price we pay for Wolves having to become 'self sufficient' I suppose, money in before money out.

Yes Long, except Lima, Larsen and Rodrigo were all signed knowing Kilman was going so money would be available, Neto sale was less obvious as we couldn't be sure we'd get what we wanted so had to wait before spending money.

So if we believe what is published the cat is out of the bag. Only £20m available for incomings. Get Silva, Podence and Guedes sold and it may be more but could be too late. With all the CB replacements mentioned it looks like a lucky dip selection now with nobody specifically targeted, latest being relegated defenders from Sheff Utd and Burnley. Looks to me like Fosun have given up on the project and now just want to avoid having to support the club financially. I just hope they get lucky and avoid relegation and can find a buyer with a greater degree of commitment to the club. I fear it's here we go again.

I fear the major problem is Fosun won't let Wolves spend much or all or very much of what's left of our?£90m?.sales kity

Wolves have probably already done the groundwork and talked to the agents of their most likely targets.
They just haven't pulled the trigger, yet.
So stop panicking, we will survive.

If we believe the press sarabia is off to besistas podence to Saudi, cunha to psg and we'll have 20m to buy with. If it was true GON wouldn't sign a 4 year deal surely? Unless he wants a pay off.
Rumours are always rife in Windows and most foundless but I do find myself wondering what's going on.
It's a worrying time, from the US highs to bargain basement and possibly a unsustainable weakened team.
Activities on the international political scene may have some role in all this, with Fosun grabbing back what they can, as TFIG said in an earlier post on banter now would be the time to sell, but who would buy?

I feel the major problem is people reach conclusions based on very little facts and a lot of negative assumptions.

That's so true WO but you say we've talked to agents but not pulled trigger yet why? Why havnt we had replacements ready for kilman and pedro in time for GON and squad to get aquinted, or are we writing off 2 or 3 games and potential points.
It all smacks of poor planning or lies. GON as stated he wanted the squad ready after pre season yet here we are seemingly losing more players with little money to find replacements in 10 days.its hard not to be negative.

I think Jeff likes to wait because he thinks he can get a better deal at the end of of the window when teams and players get a little desperate.
It's probably structly a negotiating ploy.
So say Wolves want to sign a Chelsea player and off £25 million.
Chelsea say no, they want £35 million. They say Tottenham also have enqired about him so pay more or you may not get him. If Tottenham then sign another player, Chelsea lose that negotiating leverage.
So Jeff has two or three possible signings to replace Neto and waits to see which one he can get the best deal on.
I think most of the time, he will go for a slightly less desirable player if he can get a better price on them.
This is pure speculation.

Get what your saying WO, but if I'm making a meal and I need a couple of ingredients from the market I can haggle the price and get the best price or leave it til the end of the day when the two ingredients have gone and I'm left with either old stock or something I hadn't intended buying, meaning my intended chicken supreme becomes chicken nuggets, but I have still got some change in my pocket. I'm sensing indigestion.

Or maybe you get Frenchs ketchup instead of Heinz.
When you go to buy a new car, the salesman tries to find out how much money you have. Because he wants to get as much of that as possible.
Jeff is just giving everyone a lower number so they don't ask an inflated price for their players.
He does this every year.

Jeff thinks he's a brilliant business man.
He's going to do everything to save money.
Whether or not it is the right approach, he ain't going to change.
So just relax and see what happens at the end of the window.
By the way, he's not making all decisions by himself.

And every years the same, except we spent a fortune on lopetegui and players to stay up, then sold the kitchen silver. Here we go again.
