Selling the best player isn’t a lack of ambition, the money can be reinvested. Look at Liverpool, they had no qualms in selling Philippe Coutinho or Sadio Mane (more recently).

Players come, players go. That’s football life.

Replacing one good player with another is just standing still. Can't compare Liverpool with us, they have a full squad brimming with top p!ayers, and they are looking to strengthen their squad continual!y. Like Alex Fergusson he was always looking to improve his team.

With the World Cup on the horizon, players want guaranteed minutes in the months prior to November. International managers want their picks to be playing regularly. Neves is a shoe-in starter for Wolves, not necessarily the same at a Champions League team.wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay, especially if we show ambition and sign Nunes.
I would not renew Moutinho contract. Was found wanting toward end of last season. Also far too conservative in his play. If Bruno wants a more attacking style then Moutinho is not his man.
Not renewing Moutinho’s contract, releases significant wages. Use this to retain Neves and get transfer kitty in with sale of Traore, Sanderson, Hoever, and maybe MGW, Dendonker and if we can get a top alternative, Jimenez.
