Just something I found guys
Catalunya Radio are also reporting that Traore is due at Barcelona tomorrow and reckon he could be presented as a new signing on Monday.

The 26-year-old has taken a pay cut to return to Barcelona from Premier League side Wolves and his signing does not take the Catalans over their salary cap.

According to some media sources, Adama is going to earn €350k over his 6 month loan. If this is true (which I very much doubt) he should be commended as it means that he is prepared to go from £48k per week to €13k per week (£12k).

Or more than likely, its just good old fashioned BS.

I forgot to add that according to the same report, Barcelona are covering Traores wages in full so Wolves aren't paying him the £36k pw difference.

At least we are saving £48k per week which is £1.25m over six months

As you say Nigel, we are saving £48K a week. But that leaves us with an extra £48K a week pocket-money to bring a new player in on loan! As one door closes another door opens.

I reckon this pay cut is comparative, so what I think they actually mean is that had he gone to Spurs he would have (over) doubled his potiential earnings. By going out on loan the initial loan period will see him stay on the same wage. I might be wrong but I reckon what the papers actually mean is a cut in what he COULD earn rather than what he already DOES earn?! That's how I see it anyway? ?

I think you're right Bully. Traore will earn a lot less at Barcelona than he would have at Spurs. He obviously wasn't impressed to be told he would play at RWB at Spurs. He's rubbish at defending anyway. He knows how Spurs misused Doc. Doc was RBW at Wolves but Jose played him at RB, and we know how that went. What's with this conversion stuff? Next thing Spurs will sign a winger and play him as a keeper!

We once played a defender as a striker, Stephen Ward was his name lol.

Stephen Ward was a striker, then a winger, Mick McCarthy transformed him into a LWB.

Fun Fact: Stephen "Wardinho" Ward now plays for Walsall.
