Seeing one rumour linking Deli Ali to Wolves. Almost certainly clickbait, but thinking about it, why not? We need midfield reinforcements and he definitely needs to get away from Spurs imo. Valued at £27M so within range and can be a match winner on his day. Thoughts?

This "link" came from Paul Merson's comments on Soccer Saturday. who suggested Wolves buying DA. With that said I'd rather him over Renato Sanches, and they cost in and around the same money. Would the allure of the Old Gold be enough for Deli Ali?

I wouldn't touch Dele Ali with a barge pole! The guy had a lot of potiential and THEN seemingly spent the last 3 years going out clubbing! This is a guy that was the next big thing for England, followed by the next three Spurs managers ALL very pubically questioning his commitment to the team! He'd be a terrible influence in our young squad and frankly £27m for a player that can't get into the current squad at Spurs is a lot of money! For that money I'd try for Harry Winks first, he might not be as flash but then I've never seen a single manager openly question his commitment to the team?!

BullysBoy, I agree Ali seems to have done nothing for the last 5 years of his career from what I can see.

So I suspect after me poo pooing Sanches and Ali peeps will ask me who I'd go for. Well firstly I don't think we will spend £30m in Jan, the teams doing OK and Fosun have always turned away from big Jan moves. However, if I was going to spend £30m in Jan personally I'd test Brighton resolve with a decent bid for Yves Bissouma. The guys relentless and would offer us exactly what we are missing. Sadly I don't thnk we will be spending that kind of money on one player any time soon but as usual I hope I'm wrong, time will tell COYW ?

I agree with you BullysBoy. I think we'll look to sign someone on loan however I think Lage is also looking at other options already at the club such as Jordao regaining full fitness and providing another option, likewise if Neto is ready to go in mid January, then the likes of Trincao and Podence can be played more centrally behind the strikers.

A good exciting player the Brighton one,
I think deli Ali a no no the same as you Bullysboy.

Sanchez I have my heart in it he will be the one to make the big difference for us if we get him hope I'm not dreaming as easily could be a flop whether through been out injured or just not good enough.

I posted my thoughts on January window where there not many major players available but what happens will reveal.
As the time seems to go past faster and faster it will soon be 2022 then 2030 when we will be kings of the world lol.

Dele could work out and I would have him he needs matches to play his way back into England so I think there will be motivation for him

Back into England?! He already needs to do enough work just to get back into an under performing Spurs team! With the ethos Southgate has Dele will not be in an England squad any time soon. He's fallen SO far down the pecking order I'll be amazed if he gets another cap, who would you call up right now Dele Ali or Connor Gallagher?! And consider that currently Gallagher isn't even in the squad himself! ?

I don't see Dele bringing anything we need tbh! When he's in the game he can be a terrific player but he is very quick to get disheartened and fades out of the game. He has never been one to roll his sleeves up and work in the engine room. So wrong for us to big a gamble for me.

Don't you think he is just the type of player that would sign for Villa and be a great success perhaps filling that Grealish shaped hole they have?

If not Villa then Everton

Window- I get your point and I think getting him out of London would probs be a good start. The right manager can definitely change a players entire career! I think the thing is for me when you see the raft of VERY high calibre managers he's worked with since Poch and they all have one thing in common, they've all had to explain his absence from the line up by basically saying 'he needs to work harder'! Who knows maybe he'll prove me wrong but the few times I've seen him lately he's been absolute bobbins! ?
