According to Molinuex news Patricio will be departing to Roma this week.
I think we all kinda knew this though tbh I recall a few saying it'd happen once Portugal were out of the Euros.

Goodbye and best of luck Rui Patricio. Did we (I know I didn't) ever think we'd be getting players of his caliber?

Yes good luck Rui all the very best for the future. In answer to Debbie that's a big NO I certainty never expected any international capped players arriving.

I don't think he'll go.
Most top players do this when they want a higher salary and better contract.
Can see him staying on £130,000 a week. I'd pay it for two years extra on his current deal. So we'd get Rui for another 3 years.

With Patricio going to Roma and a player being signed from Barcelona, it's all routine business at Wolves! It just goes to remind us of how Fosun have catapulted us into the big time in five seasons, from mid-table championship mediocrity.

Everyone as a shelf life tho, Patricio was a dream signing but perhaps age creeps up, I think we'd all agree some aspects were slowing down. I'll never forget his performance in the Asian Cup against man c. Cut head played on and then the penalty saves. Whoever takes the gloves will have a big job on their hands.

It's odd that there's rumours. But nothing really from any really reputable sources.
I know Fab is seen as a glowing source. But it seems odd that Mourinho hasn't said he is after a keeper. Or nothing really tangible about a Wolves replacement.
It seems like he was looked at by Roma and Jose. But the fact nothings come out about Sa is fishy. And the British press have concluded we will want Ramsdale and Johnstone seems like they are trying to create a story from nothing or initial enquiries whether that was from Roma to Wolves or whether it was from Wolves to the clubs of Sa, Ramsdale or Johnstone.
However getting rid of Rui and Joao makes sense. Get rid of the highest salaries means we can meet FFP and have a bigger squad. Is that what the club meant by creative aswell as different deals for Ait Nouri, Vitinha etc etc.

Wishing the best of luck to Rui in Roma. With that being said, I would love for the wolves to go after a goalie from the relegated teams being Ramsdale from Sheffield, or Johnson from WBA. Both have PL experience and don't run the risk of going after someone outside the league and having them adapt.
