I know I said I'd be taking a break from this site but I've just had a conversation with someone who claims to have inside information. I don't believe this myself but I do know that they know an ex director at the club, albeit when Steve Morgan was the owner.

They have heard that Nuno will be leaving the club at the end of the season. He is not being sacked, but is likely to take the Portugal job as Fernando Santos is intending to vacate the post.

As well as Nuno leaving, Boly is considering a move to Italy. Neves to Juventus, Moutinho to Porto as player coach. Traore to the highest bidder and Semedo going to a Champions League team, possibly from Italy.

Gattuso has been approached to become manager but failing that Mourinho will take over and be handed a war chest of £100m plus money from player sales but is reluctant at this stage.

Ait Nouri, Vitinha and Jose Will not be signed permanently.

As I said, this has come from someone else so don't shoot the messenger.

See I can believe all of that Jas, would certainly explain a few things. However, I think that Portugal job is as good as Jose's! I love Nuno but the reality is that Jose has a bigger trophy cabinet and as such I suspect would be first choice for the job! I honestly think when you see how other Portuguese managers are doing elsewhere I'm just not sure I believe Nuno would do much other than make up the numbers at interview (this season especially)?! Also Juve have been telling the world all week that they are bankrupt so I'd be surprised if they suddenly find £40m for Rueben?! Like I say though who knows these days, all those mentioned are certainly performing like they've already gone on holiday! 😂😭.

BullysBoy II - remember when Arsenal (think it was last season, maybe the one before? ) said they had no money but spent heavily on recruitment? - Juve could be hiding in plain sight. Just a thought.

As a footnote: I'd be sad to see Nuno going - he's done so much for Wolves. And I don't want to see him go, I'd rather see him making progress.

Debbie- the difference is that Arsenal have been run on a steady footing and are well versed in the art of bluffing/ negotiation. Juve on the other hand were projecting loses of around £600m by the end of this season! I get your point Debs but there's hiding and there's hiding 👍.

I think Juve are looking to offload Ronaldo to free up some money.

Well that explains a great deal Jas and let's not kid ourselves that a chain of events like that has happened overnight. Moves to that extent will have been in place or building up since the close of the transfer window. No one getting injured explains a lot.

PS thanks Villa only Fulham can potentially finish above us now.

Meant to say not keen on Mourinho but not got a totally closed mind about the idea.

Be fools imo to not sign Vinthia imo ok it's £18million but there is negotiating room so could possibly get him for £14million plus a sell on clause, similar with RAN imo.
Thankyou for posting this Jas M it strengthens what i've been saying I think Nuno will go on his own accord at end of season.
I'm surprisedanyone would want our players after their stinking attitude yesterday.

We're all grossly speculating here, but Mourinho? he's in it for himself. His tactics at Utd. and Spurs have both been awful. Dire football. Plus Wolves cannot even defend, so he'd have zero game plan.

Thanks Jas M. Very interesting I think Nuno is the ideal sort of manager for a national team. He has integrity and is a gentleman. National teams need higher standards. Mourinho by contrast is too much of an oddball and is probably a narcissist, more suited to club football. He could start an argument in an empty room. Mind you, I would take Mourinho at Wolves. Moutinho leaving would be no surprise, his next move is probably into playing/ coaching anyway.

I personally don't think nuno is going anywhere but I think some of the player's will be gone. there's only a possibility of vitinha staying but there certainly needs a clear out. Apart from injuries and whatever you think of nuno he has been let down badly by so. e of these player's imo. Mgw would be 1st out for me. he's broken club rules twice as we know and that shows no respect to club or manager and I'm not accepting he's only young us so are the under 23s. Some players like grealish get away with it cus they hold the ace card as to say sell me then and we have seen what villa are like without him. mgw is not in the same class so let him go. There's other's I know.

Some of the others Lexluna apparently include departed players such as Bennett, Barry Douglas and Benik Afobe. MGW probably is still around as our squad depth in quality is so dire. MGW has regressed as a player however, so he's only just hanging on. Nuno or no Nuno next season, MGW will be loaned or sold.
