I think the problem is not the players its Nuno what about Jotta he can play any where in the front line look at the goals he is scoring nuno didn't know that.

Nuno didn't know Jota could play anywhere along the front line? So why over the 3 seasons he was with us did he play on the left, right and indeed the centre. Or is that not the entire front line.

He was used predominantly on the left to supply Jimenez who is the one who cannot play any other position along the front line. The main reason why he was used on the left however is because he is a left winger.

Nuno is not flexible in what he allows players to do and that is why Adama will thrive when he leaves.
Same with Cutrone. And Mir. And Goncalves.

{Ed077's Note - Adama is bang average and that is not in any part due to Nuno. IMO}

Thank you for your input Ed077. I'm sure the top teams in Europe who are thinking of trying to acquire him will stop based on your insight.

{Ed077's Note - they should😁😁. He's nowhere near as good as the media hyped him up to be. Very inconsistent end product.

If you think not adjusting the team formation to account for three people watching Adama is not Nuno's doing, or will not change the fortunes of Wolves, then I'm afraid you don't know too much about sports.

{Ed077's Note - I probably don't.

I was watching one game and one commentator said that, in fairness to Adama, three people were watching him. The other one immediately said how that means there is more open space on the rest of the pitch.
Can you tell me what Nuno has done to take advantage of that extra space elsewhere because I have trouble seeing it on the television.
Do you think it is Adama's responsibility to tell his teammates where to be in that extra space or is it Nuno's?

{Ed077's Note - I think it's up to the players just as much.

You clearly don't know how Nuno operates if you think players can be running around outside of where he tells them to go - which is one of his weaknesses.

{Ed077's Note - probably I don't.

TimmyT, I doubt you knew anything about Goncalves before he moved back to Portugal. Just because he's doing well now doesn't mean we should have kept him when he clearly wasn't good enough. De Bruyne and Salah at Chelsea spring to mind.

There's only one person on this post who doesn't know anything about sports Timmy, and it certainly isn't Ed077.

I don't think Traore is average. He just doesn't look happy this year. Had a great season last year, but started behind Podence and Neto at start if the season. Another strange decision from Nuno. How to deflate a good player. He certainly wasn't bang average when he put the Spain shirt on.

{Ed077's Note - In my opinion he is. It's just an opinion. He has game changing ability but no consistency at all to be any better than average IMO. A bit like Nani for Man Utd.

It depends how you use him. He needs to be told to just go at full backs to get the best out of him, which is when he looks unplayable.

One commentator compared Traore to a learner driver driving a Ferrari.

Traore will be like Jota, Wolves fans won't appreciate what they have until he's gone.

I for one, can't wait to find out Ray :)

Seems 9 out of 10 games a waste of a spot, we could have had a footballer playing in his position.

Who! Look at Wolves bench and the under 23s, no one in sight. To be honest though the defence is a far bigger worry, with Boly out they are easy meat. They are very close to being dragged in to a relegation dog fight.

What has our best defender Max Kilman ever done wrong? And our second best is now out injured again, probably for the rest of the year and the third best is at Sunderland.
Coady and Saiss have run their time.
Give Fabio and Vitinha more playing time
And Traore? Someone please bloody sign him. at this rate we won't even recoup what we paid for him.

If we do sell Traore he improves a lot if he moves on., IMO it wouldn't just be down to the player's motivation. I agree with the Kilman comment. He has hardly put a foot wrong when he's played so why not recall him? It seems bizarre that they recalled Gibbs White to fill in the mid field and not Kilman for the defence. There seems to be a depressing atmosphere in the team at the moment. May be because of the league position, may be not. Much as I love Nuno, I wonder if he's up to the job?

I am dreading the transfer window. Comments of "In Nuno we trust" are not going to console me if several of our best players are sold and are replaced by promising youngsters.

We were told that players sold will be replaced by a better players. It is debatable whether that has been the case or not.

Ed. Why do other teams' players continually trip Adama if he is bang average and gets no goals or assists?
Do they like picking up yellow cards for nothing?

{Ed077's Note - because he is fast and tricky. There's always a chance he has a good game and performs well, like he did against Man City last season. Are you really happy with how he plays most weeks when you know how treating he can be when he plays to his best and actually produces something (end product ).
