Sky (Italia) are linking Wolves and Ajax with Christian Eriksen. Would be nice to get a player of his ilk.

You've got to snap a player of his quality up if you can I agree Deb.

Imagine the delivery for crosses and free kicks. Play him in the 10 when we do 4 at the back. Podence back on the wing.

Long shot I'd say though.

Costa doesn’t fit Wolves profile - Sky Sports

How doesn’t he?

Proven goal scorer in Prem
Can play loan striker role
Speaks Portuguese
Point to prove
Mendes client
Wolves have signed two players from Atl Madrid since Nuno - I know Costa’s now a free agent - we do clearly scout their players and he’s available no fee.

Tim Spiers has just said it's a non starter both Eriksen and costa. Costa on about 270 a week. Would require a serious drop and only considered a last resort.

Costa is on nothing (£0) a week as his contract has been terminated.

It probably is a non-starter, but Spiers doesn't know any more than we do! He was always full of s**t and constantly got transfer predictions wrong at E&S.

Eriksen not coming nor Costa according to the latest.
I think Nuno's post match interview 'the answer is in the squad' will see Cutrone return.
He was left out the Fiorentina squad altogether on Sunday and oddly for his 23rd birthday photos was surrounded by gold and black balloons (maybe just coincidence?! )
I can't see whoever spent last summer's money being trusted to spend much more.

Put it this way Jas he's unlikely to want to lower his wage expectations by more than half is he? Not with places like the chinese league on offer.

I think football in general is about to plateau. Just read that David Alaba wants to leave Bayern Munich but the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG can't afford his £250k a week wages. I know Liverpool missed out on signing Jude Bellingham because they didn't have that type of money outright. Arsenal have to sell before they can buy. If anyone is silly enough to offer us £50m for Traore, we should take the money and run.

Maybe we missed that Memo given that just this summer we have agreed or are actually paying £70m for RAN, Vitor and Silva?
But seriously I think you are correct re football starting to rebalance however it will be a slow process as players on silly money will just sit it out - Ozil? and clubs will always get desperate and until Sky stop pumping the money in the rewards for success are still massive.

Last New Years eve the balloons at the club I went to were the exact same colour scheme. Maybe they are leftover balloons from New Years Eve.

Thefutureisoldgold. All I know is that Liverpool and Man Utd didn't have the £30m to pay Birmingham for Jude Bellingham. Both wanted to stagger the payments but Blues wanted it all upfront £20m and the add ons (£10m) as and when. This has come directly from the players agent who I know very well.

Not disagreeing at all - Liverpool did the same to us over Jota. Its long overdue in reality as fees and wages were obscene in most people's eyes. Suspect the virus and the consequent loss of revenues will have accelerated this process.

I think we all may need to reign in our aspirations a little, its not exactly been a normal cash generating season for any club.

Apart from the lack of fans revenue, wolves are also one of the teams that I believe have suffered from not having the fans present where as other clubs may have benefited from baying mobs.

I think this season was earmarked by Nuno as a season to develop and change and the ensuing mayhem has not helped.

Im not concerned about relegation it won't happen, but likewise hopes of big buys I also do not believe will happen and if we make 10th that will be suffice for me, I see next season as a season to push higher, and I also believe that is what the plans always were, prior to this debacle of a season for all clubs.
