Local papers saying we want Paddy McNair from Sunderland and Baily Peackock-Farrel from Leeds McNair plays central defender and midfield so maybe cover for Coady the Leeds player is a goalie these might be because of the home grown players rule or the reports are tosh.

I cannot see why we would want McNair. Kortney Hause is equally as good as a back up centre half. And frankly the link with the Leeds keeper baffles me - Will Norris anyone?!

Can’t see the point of us going for either of them. Already have our own young players who should get a shot first, most likely just agent talk. Hope we announce some players before the World Cup starts.

Hause is left sided defensive centre back, position currently filled by Boly. I see McNair as back up/ completion for Coady, who was brilliant last year but lacks pace. Positional sense is probably a better asset in that spare man role but Prem strike force usually has a fleet footed centre forward or number 10, who likes to run at last defended. Didn’t have to face that threat often last year!

I'm not worried about buying a league one player, as long as he's good enough. Sunderland have only just gone down and were a PL side until May 2017. Some Spurs fans quibbled when they bought Dele Alli from MK Dons for £5mil. They're not quibbling now!
