I have been told that we are contemplating a move for Paddy McCourt after being released from Celtic. In my opinion this would be a decent signing for a league 1 team

He's player 66 games in 5 years! He's now 29 I feel his career is pretty much fizziling out

It's not easy getting into the Celtic team. Maybe he should have left 5 years ago? I've kind of forgotten about him, but recall he used to be a useful player.

Mouyokolo has signed a 1 year deal with Celtic! I am amazed as I thought his knees were shot through. Sochaux thought he was a goner too. Be interested to see how many games the Bhoys get out of him.

Just because Celtic sign you, it doesn't mean you get a game. They keep a decent squad, and Mouyokolo won't be guaranteed a start even if he is fit.

Bakary Sako will join Newcastle's french contingent for £4 million this week.

Well 3 weeks to kick off and we have one player in again you are on the ball morgan this club is in your heart think not

He does tick most of Newcastle's boxes:

Is he French?
Has he lived in France?
Does he speak French?
Does he like other French people?
Does he have any French friends?
Does he have a French passport?

The list goes on.

We need to 'get rid' of players before we get anyone in. Imagine if we don't sell Henry, Ward, Johnson and O'Hara but have already bought say 5 players in the first half of July. Think of the wage bill.

We just need some clubs to come in for those players first, Morgan can't be held responsible for that not happening yet.

Exactly we need to cut wage bill and move players in first yes Morgan and moxey have made some massive mistakes but give it a rest for now we need to be positive especially with a young squad and new manager who seems good so far.

And to be honest I don't think we need to sign a lot of people we have loads of brilliant young talent who need game time and chances to shine! We defo need a lm when sako goes and maybe a lb for cover apart from that we have decent keepers defenders midfielders and attackers.

If some of them don't does as well as expected w can buy players closer to the end of the transfer window. Remember though we're in league one ATM so were not going to spend massive

Have faith be patient believe in are youth come in you wolves

We need to off load the dross before we take more on. Its not about Morgan, its about basic economics; simple as that.

Morgan is to blame for approving the high wages these baffons are on! My apologies to the baffons in the world for likening them to overrated football players

Morgan is not to blame for the wage bill that is Moxey's domain.

I will always support the team but will never forgive morgan the mess he made of our club day he goes I will be happy would he had been like this at his beloved liverpool noway

McCarthy wanted these players and knew the wages we would have to pay so let's not forget about his role in this.

Let's not still keep blaming Mick. He's ancient history now. Yes, he was willing to pay up for these players, and at the time people on this forum also thought Johnson and O'Hara were good signings. He was presumably told that money was available too, and regarding money the buck stops with Moxey and Morgan anyway.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I agree with the post above, Mick di think they were worth it and so did most of us. So can you really blame Moxey for thinking the same?

The blame lies solely with the players who have not lived up to what they should have achieved. Jamie O'Hara and Roger Johnson had both performed well in the Premier League and gave up as soon as they put on a Wolves shirt, how exactly is that Moxey's fault?

Before the league starts we will sign a left sided midfielder a central midfielder and a striker you will never see the belfry boys in a wolves shirt again. Their overpaid agents will have to find a deal or they will rot.

The fact of the matter is, the squad is too big! That's one thing Saunders was right about! You can't operate efficiently with a squad of this size. For every player that is bought during this window there probably needs to be a minimum of three or four current players that leave in order to make room. This is the way it is.

The 23 man squad we have taken to Scotland is brilliant full of talent and potential. We just need a lm to replace sako a lb for cover and I think that's it we defo do not need another cm with Davies Edwards doumbia price and Evans all playing there

Agree that the 23 players are strong. But expect some to leave and a couple more to come in. It's what happens.

Yes, the squad is too big. But we have already lost 4 and 4 more are not in KJ's plans and 2 more (Doyle, Sako) will soon be sold. So that's 10 gone. Jonsson and Boukari also likely to go. That is quite a reduction.
