A new name entered in the betting odds. Stale Solbakken from Denmark. Good record in Denmark but failed in Germany. Anyone know of him?

He was the FC Copenhagen manager when they beat Barcelona in the CL

I live in Copenhagen, and know him quite well having watched lots of games with his former team. Did a fine job at FC Copenhagen and it was largely down to him, that they qualified from the group stages of the Champions League. He failed in Germany partly because he wasnt given enough time, and the fact that the Cologne squad was simply too weak. He's a good tactician, focusing mainly on team pressure, but eager to adapt tactics to the occasion. He is very keen to learn and as such developed a lot during his time at Copenhagen. He will have learned from the experience at Cologne. Have no idea if he would be able to adapt to the English league, but he sure is a talented young manager.

No, but if he's in the running the chances are he is related to Moxey.

Thats a funny post

Where have you heard about the guy from copenhagen

By the way. Tactically he prefers a 442, with two hardworking box-to-box midfielders, and two wingers. He tends to adjust though and has been seen using different systems. Getting a draw against Barcelona, and qualifying from the group stages was largely down his tactical mastermind.

Heard him on Talk Sport a few weeks ago - he had a heart attack which ended his career, and he was being interviewed with regards to the Muamba situation at the time. He came across as erudite and knowledgeable with regards to the game, and it's unfortunate that he wasn't given more time at FC Koln. Koln have become a team who sacks their managers too quickly (ie every season) without giving them time to put their stamp on things and sort out the underlying problems. He could be a good appointment.

He has a heart attack, well Wolves should come with its very own health warnings, proberly not a job for a guy with a dikie ticker

Sorry, he is Norweigian, not Danish. His name is listed on Oddschecker. Odds are between 5-1 & 8-1 depending on the booky.

He seems to have the fresh ideas that are needed to change what was a poor tactical set up under TC and MM worth a try instead of some of the others being mentioned. who have failed elsewhere.

People keep saying "there are no jobs out there",yet TC puts in a CV with 0 wins from 12 and gets an interview for a job worth thousands a week.
Would Morgan interview somebody for a site job at Redrow who had never laid a brick?

Getting a job and being interviewed are two completely different things.

Talking to a part time football fan who put it simply wolves are a famous club who will have loads of interest for the managers job why just be content with one candidate i e tc

It has also been stated that no appointment will be made until after the 19th May ( play off final ). Therefore it's one of the losing play off managers ( take your pick from the 4 ). Big Sam- sacked if don't go up, IH- knows Blackpool limitations, CH- Blues in financial trouble, MM ( Thats Malkay not Mick ) same as IH but with Cardiff already out I don't think it's him It might be the 1 that agrees to work with TC.
I hope they have already sounded this out as Sandwell will be sniffing around with better offers.

I hope IH gets it personally.

Connor is going to be the manager you watch this space

Well whats that about him seeing morgan just taking the p out of us how in gods name can you find one plus point in connors whats next redrow grounds

They are all good managers or they wouldn't be in the play-offs. Sam has proven quality although WHU's late season decline might be questioned. The others have smaller budgets and it's hard to tell who would do well with Wolves' slightly larger budget. Mackay seems to have some momentum just now and woul be a good choice. Holloway more experience at getting promoted, and with a larger budget whould stay up unlike Blackpool. Hughton I know less about but again he has premier experience.

I heard stewards at game saying mad mick has gone to Leicester

On holiday ? MM must love the midlands.

Let's hope so. Then he can take half the useless squad and TC with him.

Yeah cos the stewards know everything about the football world!

Hope tc and his friend moxey and our so called team all join him.

Why don't we go for Paul scharner (spelling) WBA releasing him on a free would be a good signing for the championship

Olsson is jumping ship too.I doubt Scharnar would be welcome at Wolves after his follies when they beat us the first time this season.

Personally i could get over it if he came it was only a t-shirt his kids made.

He would do a job for us, but first signs of a bad match we'd soon be tellin him to go back to Sandwell

sorry to say but Everton are gonna sign jarvis he is quality and needs to go to a better club.

Have Everton got £10 million?

Don't think Everton can afford Jarvis the ystruggled to find cash for Jelovic, if they do it will take up Everton's annual budget for Player Transfers

Understand we have agreed to let Baath go to Sheff Wed om a permenant deal. It appears we are cutting costs dramatically does this mean the management are expecting no immediate return to Prem?

Sure I wouldn't be the only one who would be absolutely furious if we sold Danny Batth.

How many of our youth players have we let go in recent years that have gone on to play in the top divisions ! its getting to the point where they clearly have no idea of the football side of things...

Danny Batth going would be a statement of intent and may well be the catalyst for the protests that should have already happened...even the happy clappers would raise eyebrows when we are in desperate need of a central defender. Send them Roger Johnson instead....guarantees us 6 point next season!

How can everton afford jarvo ? i know tc will swap him for mcfadden !!

Happy clapers raise eyebrows you must be joking.they will accept anything and are ruining our club.

If we allow Danny Batth to leave it's a complete joke, he should be a regular for us next season, we nevrer give young players a chance then they end up in the prem with other teams

I can't believe I have just heard Jarvis and £10million in the same sentence. Fair enough he was a stand out performer in a pretty poor squad last season, but this season his form has dipped dramatically. Add to the fact that Wolves has now been relegated, I believe a fee of £5mill would be more appropriate... Doesn't hide the fact that it probabaly is too much money for Everton to spend though, lol.

McCarthy to Blackburn

They will do well with him. But Blackburn's owners don't seem to know much about football management.

Steve Kean will be staying at Blackburn, just as Terry Connor will be staying at Wolves. You know its sad but true

Neither do Wolves management.

OK, we'll have Steve and they can have Terry. Both sets of fans could do with a laugh.

Hi Ed No1. It looks like your info has been spot on all along. I have it from inside Compton Park that Wolves board have narrowed there search down to 2. Ian Holloway is the preferred choice but of course this depends on on Blackpool in the play offs. If Blackpool go up then the job will be given to Terry Conner on a 12 month rolling contract. With the possibility of an experienced Director of Football coming in to assisst. Possibly Peter Reid. Pretty much as you have been sayiong for about 8 weeks now No 1 !!!

Stop taking LSD and posting you're trips, no way will Connor get the job.End of.I feel for the guy.Lets just wait and see who gets the job.

Apart from the TC bit. I don't believe it's "Holloway or bust".

Cant see this happening. Whose to say that Blackpool will sack Holloway if they fail to go up. If we're only looking at one man and then its TC for 12 months there will be an outcry among the fans and the Media

Is this another "Cleaners, brothers, Dogs long lost Aunty" kind of thing? Who would let information out of Compton!?!

Blackpool won't sack Holloway, but Wolves can outbid them anyway. We're still a respected team around the country, and I think we can still attract a decent manager. Curbs was interested, for example. Can't see Curbs going to Blackpool by comparison.
