ed have you heard any actual news on the new wolves boss?

my mates are all saying kenny jacket but I don't rate him, I think karl robinson or owen coyle would do well and be in charge more than 20 mins with the joke of an owner and ceo {Ed003's Note - I haven't,I think they should take there time,the Jackett thing is just the bookies putting 2 and 2 together as far as I'm concerned personally my hunch is Ferguson jnr but Robinson should not be ruled out he was actively looking for a move away from MK a few months back.}

Totally agree ed we need to take at least a few weeks interview as many people as possible and sit down and really think about it this one needs to be right! To be fair I think out of all the favourites of like us to have ferguson he's young he's done well in league 1 and done pretty good in the championship with a team who has hardly any money for wages and players. Also think we could steal some of daddy's up and coming players! Won't happen but imagine of he loaned us zaha haha. But seriously if quite like him yes he went down to but they played okay football with a bad team are youth and few new players I reckon he'll do we'll. if not coyle is next choice I don't want Warnock he's to much like mick we need a new style of play new system etc we need to go forward not backwards!

Steve Davis in from 33s to 4/1 you heard it hear first.

I agree with you Ed. My only worry is that if we take too long Moxey would have sold the whole team! {Ed003's Note - Decisions are going to have to made about high earners without doubt and personally(remember I'm not a Wolves fan) the lack of fight and desire was a serious prob so in my opinion it is a great opportunity for the club to start afresh,bearing in mind your parachute payments will put you in a great position in league 1,I think you have a bright future although it might not seem it now.}

Ronnie o sullivan 16/1

Why would we be looking at Ferguson? Another relegated manager, is that where we've set the bar?

08 May 2013 10:07:44
I can see plenty of milage for Steve Davis jokes.

We need someone with fight and is a winner. So many names on here are losers with no great track record. We have the potential to be a big club again so that is an attraction from a hungry hard working winner. Someone we can be proud of!

Owen Coyle

Callum Saunders told my mate that his dad would only take one player from Wolves if he could and that was Liam McAlinden, he said he will take him off there hands the first chance he gets.

He needs to find another job first, and his CV isn't looking too hot

He put him above cassidy recently, he must have highly rated him

Im afraid deano was way out his depth at wolves, the 2 he brought in were nothing special and the footy he played was absolute rubbish

I watched the lads début a couple of weeks ago and I must say although he looked a bit light weight you could see there was something very special about him his movement was second to non and his awareness was excellent, I can see him being a fine player and he will try to stay with us.

07 May 2013 20:37:33
I've heard Jez Moxey will be gone later this week.

07 May 2013 21:11:01
Gary Johnson will be next wolves manager aslon as Yeovil lose in the play off final!

Neil warnock and the leyton orient manager have been offered interviews. Alan judge a right midfielder from notts county is signing on a free regardless

Has Paul Tamworth been consulted on these potential signings?

Colin has the experience. I'd rather see someone who can revolutionise the football served up at Wolves though.

I think it's going to get worse before better everyone is going to want to scalp us next season. Big fish small pond. Steve Davis could be the one develop our kids with an experienced DOF. Ps Moxey should also be given a pay cut until he delivers the goods.

N Warnock would do a good job for Wolves, he brings most of his teams up given a fair crack, and he takes no nonsense

I like the way you Wolves fans react to a problem, (get it sorted) is your cry, I must say I'm impressed with you, best of luck for the future,
Franco.

Judge is a decent tricky player. I'd love to see Karl Robinson as manager brining with him Alex Rae as an assistant or in a coaching role in some capacity. Listening to Robinson oozes class, fantastic knowledge and knows exactly what he wants from his teams and players.

Lee Novak anyone decent record in L1 & Out of contract.

07 May 2013 21:45:07
Michael chopra being released from Ipswich {Ed003's Note - available not released.}

07 May 2013 15:09:36
I have just heard a little rumour from inside Molineux that Paul Cook is very high on the list of managers that Steve Morgan wants to interview.

I wish he was still playing

I saw him use his right foot once.

07 May 2013 14:49:52
Alex Aldridge (News at Den) newspaper is reporting Kenny Jackett has been offered the Wolves job

I'm seeing many rumours of this flying around now and it's extremely concerning. He ISN'T the man for the job and he's certainly no better than Dean Saunders who proved himself at League 1 level so we may as well of just kept Dean if we're bringing in Kenny.

Owen Coyle is the obvious choice as he can cope at Championship level too.

07 May 2013 15:37:10
what do people think of kenny jackett guys?

If these rumours are true it looks like Wolves have had another dreadful recruitment process.

How could you possibly recruit someone in a matter of hours. At least give it 2 weeks.

I like Jackett, but I hope he hasn't been offered the job yet, before any other managers have had chance to express an interest.

I will cry if this is true

He is not good what has he done sod all

We need a new young manager new approach new style new culture come on wolves make a good decision

Bring back Stale! he new what he was talking about and is a football man.

If Morgan backed him to get rid of the crap we wouldn't be in this mess! Seemed like a cheap decision at the time (cheaper to sack SS than give him 10Million to spend to sort it out)

Who next? Who knows but Please make a decision based on the future of WWFC and not 'jobs for the boys!' We are becoming a Mickey Mouse club - just not as successful!

Kenny Jacket did a pretty good job of building the basis of what Swansea FC is now. He didn't do an appalling job at Millwall either. But. something doesn't do it for me. He's not interesting. His football at Millwall hardly set the world alight.

Owen Coyle or a Guvnor/Alex Rae combination and I'd be happier.

We'll see {Ed003's Note - you just leave the guv and Rae out of it please}

Can't believe people are calling for a young manager. This is the time for experience and a strong character.

07 May 2013 14:01:43
Moxey just left Compton, maybe for good, and Kenny Jacket HAS been offered the Wolves job. Oh my God. P. J.

If indeed one of those rumours was correct, I know which one I would choose.

Are you sure PJ? U said earlier Saunders was stayin? I think we will get Jackett as to much of a coincidence him resigning today. Paul Tamworth

Oh yeah and where did you hear this then? I really can't believe they would have offered the job to Kenny Jackett, I pray i's not true. Surely it's another step back if we employed him?

E&S site, I hope it's not true as well. Yes Paul I did say Saunders would stay but I was given duff info from a mate of a mate ill stick to my insider in future, Sorry. P. J.

Jackett wouldn't be my choice. On the other hand, he's probably the right sort of person to get Wolves back to the Championship at least.

If only Adkins was available.

Steve Davis from Crewe, you heard it here first.

The Guess & Stir are saying Jackett has been offered the job.

Jackett is coming he's going to wear camouflagge, so if anything goes wrong you won't be able to find him!

Not moanin PJ, it keeps the board interesting. Paul Tamworth

He's dreadful if we get him It's a joke he's done nothing at Millwall

Why would a manager have been offered the job so quickly? This can't be true about Jackett, surely?

Ian C. Saturday Solbakken Sacked. Sunday Saunders Appointed.
Who knows what goes on in Morgans head!

07 May 2013 14:01:23
Moxey has lined up Ryhs Weston to sign for the club. The former Arsenal, Cardiff and Walsall man is currently playing in Malaysia.

Are you Rhys Weston's agent? He's 33 now, and Walsall released him a few years ago!

This must be a wind-up. He was useless for us when he was 23. He's probably even worse now.

M and M going to take their time over appointing a new manager. Understand that Jackett and Fergie Jnr are leading contenders but also Hoddle keen on a return. Peter Reid as DoF a possible venture.

Going to be tricky: the new manager will NOT be given any funds to work with, unless from player sales.

Morgan had already said that funds would be made available. it was in his end of season statement.

No more second rate or unproven managers, get in O' Neil NOW

What Morgan says and what Morgan does are 2 totally different things.

If Jackett gets the job then he'll have to change his name to Kenny Straightjackett to survive at the Madhouse. KB Wolf

Why would o Neil come to us anyway?

WILKO

Darren Ferguson would be could for us, because he will be able to get help from his old man.

You might get rvp and rooney on loan you muppets

07 May 2013 10:18:26
Saunders Sacked, as stated many times on this site in the past few weeks, Darren Fergason will be wolves new Manager.

Kenny Jackett resigns at Millwall. Coincidence or is he our new manager? Paul Tamworth

He must be interested.

He stated he is 'looking for a new challenge', didn't mention anything about wanting a break from the game.

Even if he has always planned to resign today, if he had no interest in the job he would have held off a few days to save the speculation.

His name will be at the top of any lists drawn up by Morgan now - he chose a good time to resign.

Thats what I was thinking!

Psycho White

Paul Tamworth should be our next manager.

Fergie junior would be good. especially if he can get his old man to lend us a few of their prospects

Roby_B

Thanks for the offer of becoming new manager but i'm off to Portugal on thurs for a stag do so I won't be around for the interviews! Paul Tamworth

No way! Paul tamworth has a life? Or is that just a rumour to.

Kenny Jackett would be a terrible choice of manager! Surely they can't be considering this? I personally think Owen Coyle would be a sensible move. hopefully Morgan has some common sense still left in him.

If you are thinking about common sense then surely Kenny Jackett is more applicable than Coyle.

He was a success at his last job, he knows League One and how to get out of it, he will have an idea of the League One transfer market.

I was a Coyle fan to begin with but the more I think about it the more I think it could be an error.

What do people think to Uwe Rosler (Of course only if Brentford don't win playoffs)
He has done really well there, young manager. Brentford play decent football too

I think we need to get away from the same old names that are bounded around everytime a job becomes free

Darren ferguson got peterboro relegated so he must be ideal choice!

But he beat us 3-0 at home

07 May 2013 16:52:32
Love the fact elokobi was crying Saturday and stopped till the end! Not many people mentioned that. I don't think many wolves fans were crying even though there wolves through and through. must mean a lot to elokobi he wrote on his twitter we will get promotion next season I promise. also some Good news, sigurdasson looks like he might stay after giving hints on his twitter sayin we will get promotion next season, hope he does he looks like a quality player and I think would destroy league one.

07 May 2013 09:57:46
And the next manager is?

Owen Coyle

For me its easy, a guy with a record of promotion, who plays good football and out of work at the moment, Owen coyle.

I hope so, with Coppell as DoF. Bookies favourite is Darren Ferguson 2/1, Coyle 7/1. MK Dons' Karl Robinson 10/1

A bit of a wildcard, however someone Wolves will have been talking with over the last few weeks - What about Pat Fenlon?

Firstly. Since when have the bookies actually known anything?

Secondly. Kenny Jackett resigning at Millwall - coincidence or is there more to it?

Have you seen where Hib's are in the league?

He hasn't done a good job there - without Griffiths on loan they would have been relegated.

I wouldn't be unhappy at Fergie Jr to be honest. Wolves already in the blood, and a foot in the door to grab some talent from his old man.

Personally, I think Owen Coyle would be the best option, but will he drop down two tiers?

How about Guv'nor with Alex Rae as number two, with Taylor/Coppell as DOF? That'd sort the dressing room if nothing else.

Pat Fenelon might be a decent bet. And with LG returning (we understand) Hibs won't like us very much.

Pat Felon's record is no better than Deano's. 34%

I'm not suggesting that we should appoint Pat Fenlon, just that he will be someone who we will be in regular contact with and therefore in Morgan's thoughts.

07 May 2013 16:55:43
And Fenelon has had almost no funds to play with.

My preference would be Owen Coyle. he has proven himself before. Would rather avoid Hoddle - too iffy. Ferguson might be like Deano.

We might see some Premier managers going in the next few days or weeks too. e. g. Martinez or Hughton. Worth waiting for?

07 May 2013 22:33:52
Coming from the most optimistic of hibees
(Put it this way the Scottish cup is in the bag)

Fenlon is a terrible manager.

That is all

07 May 2013 09:55:07
At 9am this morning followed a range river reg ds plus 2 letters up a 41 turned left at broxton towards carden park hotel owned by morgan! Is it deano going for meeting?

07 May 2013 08:57:33
Wolves are set to sign Liam Boyce.

Saunders sacked.

Expect to see moxey go soon. Nothing mentioning him on club statement about recruiting a new manager. I don't think the club will pay his wages what he is on in league one, but I can't see him taking a pay cut either. He will walk or be sacked

Doubt he will walk, he will want his pay out.

I also presume it would be more of a waddle
