What a joke if we sell kightly for £1.75 mill we must be desperate for mOney, if we were as well off as they keep telling us then we would hang on to him for a year to help us get up . And if he runs down his contract then signs for someone else in Jan then let him risk the rath of the fans. That guy owes us big style!

Remembr this is a rumour. I think he is a decent guy and he has already said that he will be staying next year. He can of course change his mind or could be forced out by the club but don't think the club has made that sort of decision yet.

He owes us? Are you serious? This is football, we are talking generally about a bunch of self centred, egotistical men who have been made to think they are gods because they have a talent and are being paid a stupid amount of money. This is business, everyone is out for themselves. If a player decides to stay I doubt there are many that would do it out of loyalty.

Agree that many are purely money motivated but still many who willl stay at a club for other reasons, one being that they are happy there. I think Kightly and Jarvis are two who fall into the latter category.

If kightly is in the last year of his contract the fact is with his injury record 1.75m is prob about right. It doesnt feel it as we have see him play, but it would be better to have that money to put towards a replacement than just loose him for nothing in 12 months.

He needs to be given a new contract no excuses!

His contract is till summer 2014. See Wolves official site

EDD!!! This is not me again!
Wolvesinsider {Ed011's Note - If someone posts via mobile I can't see an IP, if you want I can delete every post put to me by "Wolvesinsider" and you just use a different pseudonym, at least then you won't get however many angry posts every time you comment.

That will do please EDD!
Wolvesinsider

Just delete wolvesinsider full stop not once has he spoke anything of truth
PortonWolf {Ed011's Note - I haven't blocked any IPs yet and I don't intend to start, I get the feeling that he just had a little too much conviction in a rumour that went wrong.

Wolvesinsider is Terry Connor, he was all loud until he got the job on an interim basis then had to concentrate. Now Stale Solbakken and Johan Lange are there he feels redundant and useless, so has to come and spread his stupid message on here

Delete him altogether for calling u EDD, its surely Ed {Ed011's Note - That's the argument against him I've agreed with most to be honest.

Yes obviously the team has already been picked before the manager has watched the team play and the players train - wolves insider of an institute -

We are going to sign a player with 8 legs, that's right. 8 legs! he's called Wolves Inspider {Ed011's Note - I have to applaud that one. *Clap Clap Clap*

What's been going on here then?.......

Wolvesoutsider

He flies so many kites, perhaps 'Wolves In A Glider' or complains so often 'Wolves Back Slider'!

i keep reading people talking about markus henriksen the thing is r we even linked with him because i havent seen anything about us linked with him at the moment ive only heard celti nd a german club after him

Stale was at Rosenburg's ground when he went there a few weeks back apparently..

Who knows he was looking at Henriksen, there could be a few players worth taking from the Rosenborg team.

Or was he home in Norway, whilst on our close season break and just watching a game of football, because he wanted to?

I think he was there watching Henriksen...

Some have even said we've had a 2.5m bid rejected. Don't know how much truth there is in it tho

Not true their was a link to a norway based football magazine, stating Stale's interest yesterday but was removed from here.

It's still here, just further down the page in the relavent post. Just press ctrl & F on your keyboard to use the search function on the webpage, type in Henriksen & click next till you get to it.

Ok guys, a little bit of gossip for you. If you want to believe or not is up to you, but i no this to be 100% true! Kightly is gone, £1.75mil to west ham, he has refused to sign a contract extension since feb and wolves are not willing to let him go for nothing in the summer. Moxey is bitterly disappointed after wolves have stood by him and help him through some awfull injuries! Addy and george are close to joining forrest but are waiting for a take over? Or some board change, im not sure if this is happening or not! Combined fee of around £1.5 £1.7 mill! Fletch is going, i guess the temptation of a bigger wage and prem football is to much, and from whati gather wolves r helping him wuth the move but want a decent fee, £9-£11 mill.
We are struggling to get rud of roger too, wolves want nearly £3mill, where norwich and soton only want to shell out around £1.75-£2mill,dont thnk we will sell at that! I dont knowany1 to do with the transfer targets so no info on that. Just whats going on in the camp n what the players know! Cheers guys

Interesting , seeing as Notts Forest want MM to be their new manager once the take over happens. Cant see Addy & Big George wanting to warm the bench there when they have a clean bill of health with Stale.

Who are you Moxeys accountant?complete nonsense

As i said, believe it if you wish, i no this to be 100% true at this moment in time! Kghtly may be gone before the end of tour of ireland!

Clue in the title gossip

I hope this info is false, £1.75mil for Kightly is an insult. I know he has a history of injuries but would still expect to see £2.5 - £3mil for him. Addy & George to Forrest I could believe but I think both could be of good service to us in the championship. Forrest on the verge of a takeover from a Kuwaiti familiy with Mick McCarthy been linked with the managers role if they are successful. I think most of us have already mentally braced ourselves for concrete evidence that Fletch is going, I would love to see him stay but wouldn't begrudge him if he left. If your info is right then I think Wolves are right to hold out for £3mil for RJ, I personally think given the chance he may become the player we thought we had signed.
If Wolves sell too many players whom were around the first team & replace them, the affluence of new players could have a negative impact on the first half of the season while the team blends. So who do you think will be a replacement for Kightly? We have a good few youth players & have been linked with Valon Berisha, although there is no evidence of this just a rumour.

Molineux Maven

COMPLETE GARBAGE!!
Every Wolves fan already knows Kightly is hopefull of being offered a new contract and Does not want to leave he igned a new contract last season for an extra year to se if he got back from injury at his best.!!
Forest were interested in both Adlene and George but new owners / manager may scupper that.
You know nothing and are just spouting crap that has ben floating around stupid umour sites for the last couple months!

Kightly has refused a contract!

You are so naive porton..........any player offered a chance at the prem and a doubling of wages is going to very quickly forget about loyalty!

And how many insurance company's are going to be willing to take a risk on Kightly,

07 Jul 2012 15:52:47
Kightly is going nowhere.According to Wolves' official site he has signed a new deal keeping him at the club til the summer of 2014.

Can't see anything on the official site about Kightly extending his contract. When was this?

Stale will give all a clean slate - only those who are clear that they want out will be allowed to leave. He will fight tooth and nail to hold onto his key assets (Jarvo, Fletch) only £10 mill + will see either leave. Money for new signings is limited with defensive reinforcement the focus . Before mid July we will sign a new centre back and left back (the United lad is one on radar as is Oviedo). Siguardson and Nouble have been signed for future and will be blooded into side over season but we must get ahead of ourselves with these two. There is substance to the Henriksen link and the names of wingers/forwards will only come into effect if Jarvo or Fletch leave. Based on the above Wolves will set out with Hennessey or Ikeme in goal, Foley or Doherty, Johnson or Bathh alongside the new CB or Berrad, with the new left back or Reckord. The middle will be 3 from Henry, Davis and Henriksen (if signed) from the defensive side (2 will start in challenging away games and the other two as standard from Ohara, Siguardson and Guiediora in a very advanced midfield role. The flanks will be Kightly and Jarvis' with the young lads in reserve to allow for rotation so the two starters don't burn out. Fletch will lead line alone with Nouble in reserve. The question is whether SEB may stay as foil to Fletcher if Stale wishes to change tactics. I do think that we will have more guile and be a more attractive side to watch next year with focus on attacking exciting football and an increased focus on retaining ball which will be downfall for Zubes, Stearman, Ward, Edwards and Hunt.

Sounds good to me effectively we are after a CB LB and Henriksen with about 8 million left to spend

Hennessy is a long term injury.A part from that it is very plausible.

Money for new signings is limited?? Why? If true its because they are wasting it on redeveloping things when in the pitch is more important right now, but as this is a rumour site il take most of that with a pinch of salt who are you? Ståle Solbakkens dad?

Well if this is the case and we are after Henriksen a LB & CB, we could presume the LB top target is Bryan Oviedo, which leaves the mystery surrounding who could be the CB target. Rumours have been surfacing that Roger Johnson is a surprise target for Newcastle, whether this rumour has any backbone is yet to be seen. If he were to leave then we would surely be looking to replace him with another CB. I'm personally 50/50 with RJ, whilst I think he has been shocking both on & off the pitch I believe he has the potential to be a real asset given the right coaching & a stable partnership at the back. But on the other hand he has caused unrest with the fans & shown a lack of respect to the club. I would personally give him the chance to prove his worth till January

Forgot to say about RJ that he should never have worn the captains armband and I hope to see this will be the case if he stays.

Molineux Maven

A lot has been written about Johnson's behavior which upset a lot of people including me. Whether I like him or not is a bit immaterial, I think that the key thing is his relationships with the other players and the new manager. If alls ok then I am happy for him to have another chance.

I agree and think been given the armband when he arrived didn't help. It's the same with any job, someone comes in above you, it's human nature to resent them & take longer to earn your respect & trust. If the person is promoted within & been there for a while it is the opposite, I think RJ could make a good Captain but should have been given the honour after a season at the club. He was given a great responsability with the task of winning over his team mates, the fans & blending in to the squad. To find that cohesion on so many levels is a big ask & one that proved to much for RJ. You come to a club you should just have the focus of blending into the squad & putting in good performances, the respect of the fans & team mates will follow given you are successful. Take the armband from him & give him that chance, I would think alongside another CB with more pace in a covering role he may just blossom.

Molineux Maven

How could any one predict the team to start next season, even stale himself will not know what team he will pick yet, he has not even seen them on the training ground.
Has for new signings, Marcus Henriksen at Rosenborg attacking midfielder looks class. sign him up now.

Wen u say the united lad i presume u mean fabio the left back i heard he's gone on loan to qpr 4 the season

I think he means Bryan Oviedo, United where looking at him as a replacement for Evra in January.

My team for next season- Assuming Fletch & Jarvis sold like expected.

De Vries(Hennessey)
Foley Zubar Moyokolo Sudic

Reckon Wolvesinsider is Terry Connor, throwing his toys outta the pram cos he didn't get the job full-time and acting like he's such an expect.

Ooh and no need to delete ;)

Why don't you do something constructive with your life?

In what universe would hunt ever play ahead of Jarvis!?! That's like playing downing instead of ronaldo!

Mick McCarthy being linked with the Managers position of Nottingham Forest, once the takeover is complete. Source - Google & Forest fan forums.
Chance of TC rejoining him with a bit of luck, we need fresh ideas & approach, can't see Moxey allowing any new staff (after Lange) without members leaving first.
Notts Forest forums seem to have a split decision on old Mick but he is a realistic target for them.
A rumour was mentioned here that Forrest were interested in Guedioura, not sure how that would go down if Mick was in charge, Adlene was never really given a chance to settle and impress under Mick, couldn't see him wanting deja vu in a different coloured shirt.

Molineux Maven

Would be interesting to see which wolves players he would go for

Nice outcome for all concerned. He would be good at Forest I think.

Fingers crossed McCarthy does go to Forest. That would be one less team to worry about !

Hoping he gets a job soon, TC would be a dead cert to join him.

Hopefully Ward, Stearman, Berra and Edwards would follow him.

Fingers crossed Mcarthy goes 2 Forrest? are u 4 real m8? i hope he doesn't! he may not cut it at Prem level. but one things 4 sure. he's fantastic at championship level. can see him getting them promoted if he went. if not this ssn defo nxt.

I acknowledge that McCarthy is a fantastic championship level manager but has not got the edge when it comes to the prem. My opinion on him becoming Forrest manager is based on their reputation & struggles in the league last season hindering them from attracting players with a calibur to challenge for promotion. True there will be funds available, but any new manager there will want to establish the core of the team in which to build around. I believe Mick wood probably use his funds to take a few of our players he knows and worked with that we have labeled 'dead wood' and are surplus to requirements. This along with hopefully TC would aid our cause and by the time Mick has established Forrest as a top table finishing side capable of attracting better players, I would hope Wolves had secured promotion. I have no doubt Mick could get them promoted maybe within 2-3 seasons, but I feel Stales' & wolves ambitions would be to be a prem side again long before I would regard Forrest to be a threat.
So yes mate, I am for real, I hope to see Mick as the next Forrest manager, fingers crossed.

Molineux Maven

Sorry m8. wht i should of added 2 tht post ws. the reason i hope Mick dnt go there is incase he causes us problems in the promotion run. if i remem?ber right didnt we miss the playoffs by goal diff in his 1st full ssn in charge?

True, but I don't see Forrest mounting a serious promotion push any time soon. They have a thin squad of players who managed only to finish 19th & I believe they only did so with the help of Addy & George & Portsmouth been docked 10pts. When mick took on the Wolves job I'd say we were in a better position than Forrest. As good as Mick is in the Championship I couldn't envisage him turning Forrest into a team treatening our promotion ambitions whithin the time frame I hope we are aspiring to. Don't get me wrong, you have a point, I just can't see it happening so soon. Besides that, if this rich kuwaiti familiy are looking to pump funds in and buy success a.s.a.p, which ever manager they get, within time they should become a threat. It would nice for it to be Mick as we would at least see some positives & benefit from the situation with unwanted players & hopefully TC going.

{Ed011's Note - Guys where has the second "r" come from? It's just Nottingham Forest not Nottingham Forrest, but it is Forrest Gump. Sorry about me being picky but I'm bored and it's been a slow week in regards to rumours.

I don't know to be honest Ed011, maybe because I'm typing about Mick McCarthy to 'run Forrest' {Ed011's Note - Haha, brilliant.

Thanks Ed, I'm here all week.
Molineux Maven

Everyone posting about N Forest being thin on the ground and no chance of attracting players and therefore Mick not being able to mount a challenge this season, should try to think back when Mick in his first season with us inherited a completely decimated squad with little cash to spend in assembling one. Whatever championship team Mick takes on will challenge and if they are lucky will get promoted to the Prem ... they wont stay there though until they sack him!!
