Doumbia in the Mali squad. Could explain why we're in talks re Frimpong

Isnt frimpong playing in an african team tho?

Frimpong is English

Frimpong chose to play for ghana

He's not been named in their provisional squad

Im sure he can chage his mind can't he as hes under 21 (I think)

Why do people disagree when they dint know facts. This guy is right he chose ghana iver england because he was born in ghana

Yes and sterling was born in Jamaica but he chose England because we have nurtured him. its not that people are disagreeing its that he can change his mind if has not been capped more than once the same as wilfred zaha can.

henry on the way out with berra being drop as he as not resigned totally different looking team on friday

Was not massive on Dean Saunders........ but following his interview as Wolves manager...... he speaks well.... has a heart for the game...... is obviously very proud and honored to be Wolves manager.... I will back him 100%

Half the Wrexham team on the way in good luck with that wolves!

How different can it be? We don't have a lot of choices.

So was stale!!

seen someone posting about boukari as far as i know he is renting a house in wolverhampton and currently out injured with his calf, from his mouth not mine, and with regards to interest in Bennett's can't speak about elliot but Kyle Bennett was with dean saunders at doncaster so if anyone has seen his potential i should imagine saunders knows what he is made of when the boy was a kid was meant to have unbelievable potential

The same one's we let go ?

The very same, who have gone away to ply their trade at other clubs. Elliot Bennett, although maybe not getting as much game time, is still in the premiership as for kyle bennett a young player that has gone on to become a regular at doncaster with over 50 club appearances by the time he is 22. Perhaps these are ideal players because given a second chance they have something to prove? so have a bit of fight in them? And teams make mistakes all the time Real Madrid let Eto'o leave who went on to be one of the best strikers in the wolrd? Or maybe you are just another wolves fan that wants us to sign messi and ronaldo

That's Elliot Bennett

If you go onto the doncaster rumours site they don't seem to impressed with kyle bennett... see comments off their site.....

Sean O'Driscoll returning to Doncaster as manager within 48 hours.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No chance. More chance of Kyle Bennett playing well and that won't be happening anytime soon

Wolves to sign James Husband

LeeWolf

Need to sort out the egos of the so called belfry boys who seem to run things in the dressing room come on deano show them who is boss

Tbh bit gutted about stale going in a way cus I was excited about the long term plan and idea of good football, and being able to last in the prem more than 3 seasons. He's had a lot of bad luck with injuries and decisions against him, think he is a good and very clever manager and I'm sure he will do well somewhere else..... Having said that, the squad we have..on paper should be challenging for title, regardless of fletcher, kightly and Jarvis going. But everything doesn't always go to plan. I think in the end we did have to act now and it was the right decision, the last thing you want to do is slip into a relegation battle and with the luck we've been having and the confidence already on a low with the players.. inflict more pressure on them to get results. The positive I like about dean Saunders is he really does seem genuine, and a top person. I think that's what our dressing room needs, abit of confidence and something new.if he can get our players playing at their full potential, I'm confident we will climb the table and have a late promotion push. We just all need to get behind the team. Regardless of the last how many games, we need to be loud and proud and get behind our team Friday. Our season starts now. Come on wolves !!!

I do hope this won't turn into us being linked with every player from Doncaster, like when we were linked with every Scandinavian when SS came.

Gibo.

Who does james husband play for ? where does that come from belfry boys ?

Obviously Doncaster and obviously cuz the players are more interested in playong golf down the belf than whats happening at wolves!

Who are the belfry boys? I work at the hotel in the leisure and spa club department and have only ever seen O'Hara there chlling out or playing golf. I havent heard or saw any other players there that currently play at Wolves.

Agree with post about Stale. He couldn't have done any more given the limited funds in the summer. He inherited a poor team.

Whose husband? hope wife dow know!

So if he couldn't do any better why did he take the job when"apparently teams in the champions league" wanted him.stale was out of his depth in the championship, it was a culture shock to him and his coaches.think he was a decent guy who obviously wanted the time to adjust, he didn't win the players over and don't think he would have, he believed what he was doing was right but we could all see it wasn't, owner players and fans alike.the realist.

Why shud we.be challenging for promotion wiv that team they are overpaid average championship players at best none of.them.wud.get.in.a.top.six championship team so I think the position in the lg reflects just.how bad aour players actualy are and wen the fans finnally realize this the better cuz your expectin far.too much the.championship has moved on from wen they won promotion and we only won promotion.then.becuz we out scored teams our defence was.still poor the only diff now.is rogers playin instead of.stears or craddock

Anyone who thinks Stale could have done better needs to look at the facts. (or FACTs as they are known here). Does anyone disagree that the players he brought in have been good signings? Imagine where we would be in the league without Bakary Sako.

I have no doubt that if he had another £10m we'd have had 5 more decent players, without needing to persevere with Stearman, Ward, Berra et al.

Sure, if Morgan brought Stale in to manage the team of relegated substitutes with the aim of transforming them, then I agree the mission failed. If he brought Stale in to turn the club around by re-building it then frankly it can't be done that quickly with a handful of imports, decent though they may be.

But what I don't get is how the players can somehow go on what's effectively a work-to-rule and then Stale goes. To say he hadn't "won over the players" suggests there are some big egos in the dressing room. Morgan needs to address this himself - back the new boss or find another club.

If the egos are allowed to rule then Deano is in for a hard time too, just like his predecessors. It's not as if these players are anything special either. Not like Demba Ba going to Chelsea or Balotelli who knows he'd have no trouble finding another decent club if he falls out with Mancini again. Tevez ditto. These players were RELEGATED and the best of them left in the summer. Morgan (or Moxey or Thirwell or whoever is his goafer in this) really needs to sort out the manager/player dynamics rather than leave it to the new manager.

Rant over.

We lost our fighting spirit last season - when RJ arrived. Or maybe the players were just fed up with "putting in a shift" every week (Doyle has said as much) leading to dressing room unrest

Boom. Think that "putting in a shift" comment is bang on. It would get tiring, especially when teams around you in the premiership are progressing. If I was Doyle, who I think in terms of technical ability is one of our better players, I would be very disappointed with the way my career went. He isn't much worse than Shane Long, infact he was better than him for a long time. However Long went on to play under Di Matteo and Hodgson, Doyle played under Mccarthy and their careers went in opposite directions, One was taught to play football and the other was taught how to hold up long balls. Really think we need to stick with a manager with class and then change the whole squad, rather than sticking with a squad and changing managers.

were on tv on friday can we please get signs up or chant we want frimpongg everyones talking about it lest show jez and deano how much we want him!

Its not who we want its who saunders wants

07 Jan 2013 17:11:26
Wolves need a new team, the defence is very poor, there is no steel in the midfield and the forwards are not up for the job they should be looking at players like

Goalkeeper -

Craig Gordon - free agent
Kieran Westwood - loan to buy from Sunderland

Defence -

Jack Robinson - on loan from Liverpool quality young player that just needs more game time.

Titus Bramble - out of contract in the summer so once again it would be nominal fee.

Midfield -

Tom Huddlestone - is available and would come back

Jermaine Jenas - is available and would come

Michael Johnson is available and would cost a nominal fee, 24yrs old and a hard tackle.

Attack -

Dani Pacheco - loan from Liverpool technically very gifted and scores regular for Liverpool's under 21's

John Guidetti - loan from Man Cty a regular goalscorer where ever he has been and would welcome competitive 1st team football.

Michael Owen - is available would he come im not too sure but he's not playing at Stoke could offer him a pay as you play deal due to injures.

Potentail line up with new players

..........................Gordon.............................

Foley........Johnson.........Berra.......Robinson....

................Huddlestone.......O'Hara................

Pennant...............Pacheco..................Sako..

........................Guidetti..............................

SUBS: Hennessey, Ward, Henry, Doumbia, Sigurdarson, Doyle, Ebanks Blake

That is a very good team and one that could certainly get into the play offs.

BigD

Where is ikeme am you off ya trolley??

Thats the worst team ever, we need a god dam defence

That team is useless!

I agree with westwood, robinson, huddlestone and guidetti yet why not give our youngsters a go...still have mcalinden, ismail and bath...plus doherty should have a chance on foleys recent form :) also i think frimpong for 1.5-2million is a bargain we would have stayed up last year if he had of stayed fit and mick had stayed....deadwood to go has to be stearman, berra, ward, henry and seb their useless...

It's all very good on footy manager!! How do you know these players 'would come' owen already said he won't drop down the leagues. This is complete rubbish. My guess is you are very young and good at FM13. Stick to that

We can't afford any of them

They are already in trouble ...... M.King

That's too obvious, I mean Marlon.K

Gibo.

Pennant has also gone back off loan and no to titus

We have two good goalkeepers.

A young Liverpool full back is definitely NOT the answer to our defensive frailties.

Would really like us to go out and buy a goalscoring striker who knows the Championship.

Pennant couldnt get back quick enough owen would never drop down he would never give anything back to the game anyway he is a constant sicknote

Kid...you need to get a grip, sort the defence out, kick the midfield up the 'arris and sort a forward to partner Bjorn and set fire to the dead wood...job done

This is a daft post as the wolves team on paper should be higher than we are!! its just little differences and confidence that makes the difference in this league. Stale failed coz we have a rubbish strike force and no attacking midfielder plus our defence is littered with mistakes....possession works in prem if you use it not in the championship!!

We'll go nowhere without replacing Johnson and Berra. RJ=Too deep, too slow; Berra just not good enough

Danny Batth has to get a chance got promoted with Sheff Wed really hope Saunders gives him a go. Berra can jog on.

07 Jan 2013 17:00:46
Wolves in talks with frimpong fingers crossed all goes well. talks at high level about whether henry should be sold . looks like thelwell is busy good source.

Hopefully we have tongo who plays in his position and davies both of who are younger and better

id put johnson captain again hes done well and elad this year

also frimpong yes its all we seem to be talking about on here please get him

Where have you seen this? surely dean can't of decided he wants frimmers already.

TDW

Weve employed thelwell or whatever as director of football or cheif scout somewerw in the middle of both tho so he will have a massive say in signing within first team and younger teams

Any news on frimpong

07 Jan 2013 16:18:37
been hearing from close sources that Wolves have made an enquiry about Tom Ince from Blackpool, doubt it's true but iv also heard that his dad, Paul Ince has advised him to go and help wolves rise up the league. {Ed011's Note - Would be very, very surprised. People who weren't Wolves fans could go as far to say that it's a backwards move in terms of our league position. Brilliant player though.

What a load of rubbish. Why even bother making this up.

Ince will be a Liverpool player before the window closes.

BigD

Lol absolutely no chance, they want £6m, moxey would never pay that while we're in this league!!

I did not make this up, iv heard from others, i just shared what iv heard even though i don't believe it.

It could be true if you were living in a fantasy. Why would Ince come here? and why would Paul Ince tell him to when he has been trying to convince liverpool and blackpool to do a deal asap? and as to the moxey wouldn't sign him post its not up to him its up to Dean and Morgan who comes in and for what for. all moxeys job is to make us money and in his mind talk about football which he knows nothing about!

TDW {Ed001's Note - Paul Ince has been telling Tom not to go back to Liverpool, that it is priority to join a club that will provide him with regular first team football.}

Why would Ince come to Wolves? There will be a number of clubs looking at him, all of whom offer more certainty of PL footy now or next season.

{Ed011's Note - Things from different reliable sources on twitter:

Morgan:"I've known Dean for some time.He comes maybe not with huge managerial experience, but with huge football experience. He's a great guy."

Morgan reveals he helped rescue Wrexham a few years back and that's when he first met Dean Saunders.

Morgan also said that there was an impromptu board meeting held after Luton defeat and decision taken on Stale. Thanks Stale for his efforts while in charge.

Dean reveals his 'pride' in being Wolves manager. Relishing the challenge and wants to manage at the highest level. Saunders says he's on a mission to get this job right. Says he might as well sit in the garden if he didn't enjoy managing. As for transfer market: "I'm going to have to be imaginative. I have an inclination we are weak in certain areas." He also said "What Wolves players have had is they've been to the greatest party and woken up with a hangover"

2 out of 2 for Deano so far. If he wants advice about "weak areas" he'll get plenty of advice here.

Listened to Dean, like what I hear, any slackers will be gone! And also he still beleives the play offs are in sight! Good luck Deano. Paul Tamworth

Until we lose is that paul tamworth?

Nice to hear your back to your positive best Paul T. P.J.

Oh ohhhh, Saunders has be given the dreaded backing of Paul Tamworth :-D

Gibo.

Who are you and what have you done with the real Paul Tamworth?

How long will that last Paul. I give it 6 weeks until your on his back trying to get another manager sacked.

Honestly, I'm feelin positive about Dean, he will see through the players who aren't givin their all and he will get rid of them! He already sees areas we need strengthening and I'm sure he will give our youngsters a chance where past managers have ignored them! Roll on Friday night! One last thing if I do start callin him down, between now and May! Shoot me down straight away! Which I'm sure you will!! Paul Tamworth

Don't worry Paul Tamworth I'm going to be all over it when you start! Oh and it won't be as late as May either! Once you see the way he lines his teams up and plays you'll be screaming for his head and that's absolutely guaranteed!

I reckon you'll be complaining come half nine Friday to be fair Paul.

Really hope your wrong! I've never been as bored as I was watchin the last 6 months! The biggest load of dross ever! I get the feelin our team will want to play for Dean, which will will make it 10 times better already!! Paul Tamworth

Paul they shouldn't be all pally and friendly with the manager and play for him! They should play for the shirt and give blood sweat and tears for the cause like Bully, Downing, Andy T, etc did week in week out no matter who was in charge! Wolves pay their wages not the manager! You basically just said that the players got him out! That's disgusting and they should all be ashamed of themselves!

Steady on. I remember SS being being bigged up on this site. Posters were saying he'll rip into our underachievers etc...

Stale didn't have the players onside from the start. IMO he was weak, he would say he couldn't fault the players efforts!! What a load of rubbish that was! I think you'll see a completely differant mentallity from now on! Paul Tamworth

That's the biggest problem with transfer windows!

Paul you were moaning about Ståle from the get go! He hadn't been in a fortnight or even started pre season! So don't come that!

I was proved right then? Good judge of manager?;) The futures bright! The futures Deano!! ;) Paul Tamworth

07 Jan 2013 14:52:53
NEED THESE DAYS BACK!:
Saunders:
"It is a massive club with passionate supporters. I remember playing here and not able to hear my team-mates speak with the noise."

Yes we do, but this guy and this team won't give us enough to make that noise...

^^^Give the guy a chance for god sake! already moaning after less than a day in charge, how do YOU know he won't give us fans somert to cheer?....

07 Jan 2013 14:36:42
Saunders:
"I'm not getting carried away. Lg table says we're up against it but win three games on trot and we're right up there"
"Players have to stop feeling sorry for themselves, stop blaming others and get club back up the lg"

Did he mention anything about money or transfers i missed it?

Not directly but said he had some dreaded dvd's to watch! Let's get behind him and the team now .

Oh the curse of the DVD's

Oh, the Wolves Christmas Special DVD. Yes, that should be compulsory viewing for all involved at the club.

Shorter than the epic Stale had to watch, though.

07 Jan 2013 14:18:13
{Ed011's Note - Dean Saunders News Conference Coming up on TV. If you can watch it do, if you can't I'm sure you can find it somewhere online or on the Wolves Website and I'll be posting about it as soon as I can do.

07 Jan 2013 13:55:05
I think that a manger who has watched us before will think to play ward upfront, which is where we signed him remember? whenevr he has played up front he has had loads of energy and scored. apart from that shift i would bye a replacement lb who is experienced and can cover for sako flying forward, a striker that will make 4 which is what any team needs. as well i would break the bank for a good cb and a cm like frimpong. then any good additions would be mmeasured as future prospects like lower league paul lambert like recruits, as well as loans and maybe vaz te. these extras would have to be made rrom for by people like stearman, zubar, jonnson, mouyokolo and batth and margrieter being shipped out as they have neither the ability or the hunger. past that i think the new man will simply get the team firing on alll cylinders and that should be good enough tbh

You my friend know nothing.

How can you say if mouyoloko, batth and margreitter hav'nt got the ability or hunger! they havnt played this year apart from batth and margreitter in league cup this year and thats hardly fair to assess them! give players a chance before you slate them when they hav'nt played!

Actually mate i reckon i could do a far better job than most people on here. plus if solcrappen didnt even rate batth and margeiter ahead of ward who you all seem to hate so much then how can you have any faith in them. they were outclassed at northampton in the cup so they cannot be trusted in important games over the next month or two as the new man hopes to string soem big results together to get us to safety and begin to climb the table. we want players who can atleast do a job, not be outclassed by lower division strikers. and i would like to know what you with your fountain of knowledge would like to do? yyou would probably be one of those who guessed that the players got stale the sack when you haven't a clue what goes on in any professioanl club dressing room.

You could do a better job as manager? ..so why aren't you one then? ...oh sorry, because you're all mouth and self-inflated sense of ability. Play football manager or fantasy football do we?? Lol

If solbakken didnt rate batth and margreiter above ward? WOW!! you really have no idea about wolves obviously! batth and margreitter are centre halfs with ward 'being' a left back! have you ever watched wolves?

Will anyone remember that Boukari is still in France do you think?

Technically stearman is a cb and yet he has played rb for us during the last 2 seasons. and tbf ward is a good striker, remember liverpool away what a performance that was. morgan has just said that a few players would need to be sold as our squad is 'too big' and of those in the squad i would be shifting those players out along with zubar and stearman and jonnson

Boukari is back in England, has been for a while...

I just loved it when he said that whenever ward has played upfront he has scored! You my friend obviously don't go to the molineux!

Actually ward has good stats as a striker for us. "Ward had a bright start to English football scoring three times in his first six games, earning him the Championship Player of the Month Award for February 2007". he needs replacing as a defender but as a short term solution i'd return him to his natural position up front

07 Jan 2013 13:28:00
Wolves enquiries about Ryan Tunnicliffe Man Utd midfielder

Very good player. hope it's true.

07 Jan 2013 12:49:39
10 Transfer targets.
1) Liam Trotter (CM)
2) Andros Townsend (AMRL)
3) Lee Wallace (DL)
4) Tyler Blackett -loan (DL)

10) C Wickham/F Campbell -loan/buy

Both Bennetts that we released ? Don't think so

No frimpong?

if aresnal want to ship him on and he wants to come to us why is this not a done deal?!

Conor Wickham would be decent need a big man up top.

07 Jan 2013 12:45:55
How does anyone know what football DS gets his teams playing unless you've been to watch Doncaster I suggest that you hold fire I don't accually care long as we win getting the 3 points is all that matters end of

You can watch Donny games in full on their Player website. That should give you some idea.

My Donny mates say that he got Donny to play to their strenghths

Long ball when needed short pass when needed....sometimes it wasnt pretty but results dictated success!

My wrexham mates said he got them playing some of the best football they have witnessed as Wrexham fans even during league status

So it appears he uses the team he has and plays to their strengths which can't be bad

Deano you have my support

07 Jan 2013 12:05:27
Wolves in talks for Matt Ritchie

Ah yes - Lionel's brother lol

07 Jan 2013 11:51:03
James Husband, the young doncaster left back, to be Saunders first signing as Wolves Boss

More of a considered guess than a rumour I reckon. There will be rumours going around about all the Doncaster players. Just like all the Wolves team are off to join Mick at Ipswich.

07 Jan 2013 11:11:12
morning ed, now deano is our manager, he does have money to spend so the reporter said .who would you like him to bring in, don't think frimpong will come now, jason wolves for life
{Ed011's Note - I would like Frimpong to come in, I heard us linked for a loan with a view to buy for young Spurs winger/ centre attacking midfielder Yago/Iago Falque, I think that would be interesting.

We need at least a centre back and I'd like to see a left back come in, we have three players who are right backs now with Foley, Zubar and Doherty and any of them have the ability or potential to be good enough but we only have Ward who's a dedicated left back.

For the CB he's getting on a bit but for a good, cheap fix I'd suggest Gary Monk from Swansea, real leader on the pitch and expected to leave, but I'd want a loan with a ridiculously optimistic view to buy for Sebastien Coates.

I've been listening to a Matt Murray interview on TalkSport about Deano being manager and one thing he said was that maybe he can get us some young and hungry players from the lower leagues and youth setups like we used to have, players like Jarvis and Kightly were and players like Tom Ince has been since Blackpool got him as a youngster off Liverpool.

Thank you for the replay back ed, i agree with all those, with deano being a striker perhaps he might so doyle, where the net is lol, we do need another striker as well, jason wolvesfor life

07 Jan 2013 04:37:07
west ham sign a winger on loan called wellington, add to that the signing of Joe Cole and Chamak on loan. plus them already having Jarvis Nolan Carroll Carlton Cole Matt Taylor it would be a perfect time to go in for Ricardo Vaz Te, I really rate him.
Doyle, Sigurdarson, Vaz Te, Sako, Peszko, Boukari, o'hara.
that is a very very strong strike force for the championship .
sign Frimpong and him to Doumbia and Davis good central midfield options.
now to the backline, keep Johnson and hope foley comes good replace the other two duds.
What's your thoughts?

I think Hull are after Vaz Te, according to a post on the main rumour page. He is worth a shout though.

Gibo.

Totally agree vaz te at this level is a proven goal scorer which we don't have. get frimpong then no need to always rely on henry or blame put on him.
team - ikeme
foley Johnson (new) (new)
peszko doumbia frimpong sako
ohara
vaz te

If you name 14 players you must have a chance. Only kidding.
Siggy still has a lot to prove and the only one scoring goals has not been included.

By bad forgot about siggy one of my fav players SS

ikeme
foley Johnson (new) (new)
peszko doumbia ohara sako
siggy vaz te

bench - de vries, margrietter, doyle, ebanks, frimpong

07 Jan 2013 09:15:13
If they have any sence surley must splash cash to get frimpong so much heart and desire would also boost players we have left if clearout happens which is so desperatly needed
