I think the only footballers that Ståle believes in are Scandanavians or ex players of Cologne. If he is really desperate then he gets a piece of paper and writes down a random combination of letters and tries his luck by finding them. I think he is quite a lucky guy. Then he gets rid of people with names that people can say like Steven Fletcher and Michael Kightly. OK I do suppose it is the players choice to leave or not but if he is going to get rid of someone with a name that people can say then get rid of Roger Johnson!

Let the guy do his job till the end of the season before we make any judgement

1) Kightly didn want to play for club and is a disgrace to Wolves, kissing the Badge and then telling officials he wants Prem footie.
2) We havnt lost Fletcher yet and money does talk, 12m is a good bit of Business.
3) Look at what McCarthy signed absolute crap i would have Scandanavians anyday over the crap McCarthy signed, i forgot the likes of Limpar, Jensen, Tore Andre Flo, Solksjaer, Fjortoft, Berg, Schmeichel, Laudrup were awful players.
they are cheap and always seem to have respect for our football and strive well in our leagues, we wil be fine :)

Two defenders could well be Jasmin Sudic (Malmo LB) and Mark Hudson (Cardiff CB) just rumours I have been told of over the last month or so since Solbakken has taken over.

Have you all forgot about ebanks-blake? He was immense in the championship and hasnt had much chance to play in the prem. We dont need any more strikers we have Doyle, Fletcher , ebanks-blake, nouble , sigurdsson. Do you really think thats not enough?

No thats not enough ! E-banks is over weight and not sharp enough to bag us the goals. Doyle maybe he can ignite again like he did for reading that one season. Nouble is a poor mans Carlton Cole which says it all, And Sigi is young and will need time to settle in.
So YES we do need a replacement for Fletcher - Who i am not sure

Nouble has bags of potential and could be a real coop but even if he doesn't ignite this season I believe in the other 3

johnson as said he is happy to stay and prove a point and take wolves back to premiership will be captain for the season

He wud b a good captain if he earned respect from the other players cuz he's vocal it was just he got given the armband b4 he knew the other players so now he knows them and as i say he needs to earn the respect of the others players and not provoke the fans into booing him again its a new season hopefully wiv a new cb and lb so he doesnt hav 2 drag around crap 4 1 hr and a half

According to other site we have agreed a fee for Fletch...Sunderland 12m plus add ons to 15m...

Fletcher is on wearside after wolves agreed a fee off 12mill for him.

n people getting on kites is back if a team offered you 15k a week n another team offered you 20k where would you go i no where id go for the money regardless what team i was playing for n you would be a fool to say you wouldnt {Ed011's Note - Actually I think if a team had discovered me from a team like Grays and stuck by me through years of injuries, I think I'd give them a season in the championship unless they asked me to go before the end of my contract. If that makes me a fool so be it - at least I'm a fool with some honour.

Agree with ed we gave him a years extention when he was still injured if he was told he wasnt wanted then fair enuf but to leave after all thats ben done for him is disgracefull

Spot on Ed honour is saddly missing from the modern footballer and to be honest from most of the fans!

What a lot of people are forgetting is that man utd were also sniffing around kightly and also offered grays money but they had already agreed a sale with us. So we weren't the only ones to discover him so I don't buy into the "kightly would be nothing without us, languishing in non league"

Can somebody confirm this. Did we actually offer kightly a new contract or is it just done people have said {Ed011's Note - We did offer him a new contract, don't know how much but apparently less than Stoke.

Completely agree Ed, we've been slating the Sunderland fans for slagging Fletcher off without even seeing him play and we're doing exactly the same. IF we sign him, give him a chance, what was we like before we signed Jarvis from Gillingham and Kightly from Grays? Not too bad in the end.
