while i think stalle will be great for us i am not too happy about what he says on official wolves site.he says our success is with players allready here and did not seem to bothered about bringing new players in.while i dont want to be negative but i cannot see our defenders ever being good enough for us to achieve promotion.appart from johnson i think we need a new defence and cannot see why stalle does not see this. {Ed011's Note - He's just doesn't want it to look like he's had a bad transfer window.

SS did NOT rule out using the loan market if you listen to the full interview, we have what we have so we will have to get on with it, if he brings some one in great if not that's life let's all stick together & hope SS gets it write. wolves fan of 58 seasons. UTW

Our sucess is with players already here by that im assuming he is meaning the 7 he has brought in and he is not stupid he is aware of our leaky defense but just because we need a defender doesnt mean they grow on trees and the right person is available :)

Hmmm Wage bill restricts us on transfers come on Stale stand up to them like u did with Guerdiola,

It would appear to me that ss is being restricted on player recruitment. We only bought players in after jarvis etc went. He has continually stated his desire to reduce the size of the squad its just nobody wants to take these players off our hands. We maybe better off offering the likes of hunt free transfers to free up some wages.

Emergency loan window? Thts no good 2 us! You can only use tht if you dont have enough players to put out. (E.g. All your strikers are injured or you havent got a fit keeper. etc.)

Clubs in the Football League can sign players on loan outside of the transfer window following a seven-day period after the transfer window closed

I see fulham are thinking of letting Matt Briggs go on loan would be a good shout good young left back

Is there any truth in this ed? {Ed011's Note - Don't know to be honest, haven't heard anything but as I speak the emergency loan window has just opened so we'll see.

I read it on the Ssn app it just said cause they got JAR n KR for the left back spot they would consider him to join another club on loan

Been with Stoke fans today at work and without taking the piss they listened to me going on about our period of change and the exciting new signings, time to gel etc, etc. I asked them honestly about Moxey and it was summed up simply with " look at us now" Why he remains we will remain stable, unless results go against us and we struggle. Attendances will continue to fall and we will become a selling club to survive ( if we aren't already).
If the new signings prove to be any good they will be snapped up by the vultures if we don't go up ( i believe we have an option on Doumbia)
I'm normally a positive person but really do believe Moxey is interested in himself and keeping Morgan happy money wise. These long term plans off the field mean nothing if he doesn't back the manager 100% and keep expecting him to manage with 1 arm tied behind his back.
"Get Moxey out", and this will gather momentum if things don't start to pick up pretty soon.

How much debt are Stoke in ? Stoke only finished 14th last season and look at all the money they invested in players. They think they are bigger than what they are , it was ONLY them interested in M.Owen , hardly a signing coup.Stoke were only nine points from the drop zone after all their signings.Imagine if Stoke got relegated ? then there would be a major fire sale at the Britannia. We sold two of our top players , bordering on three as Kightly hardly featured in the premier league.Regarding transfers we got top dollar for Fletcher and Jarvis both of whom are not worth what Wolves sold them for. There were not too many people booing Uncle Jez for ten million for Jarvis or twelve rising to fourteen for Fletcher. The reason Wolves could command such high figures for players is because Wolves were not depending on payments on staying in the premier league for survival. If I was you're co-workers I would be a bit more worried because Stoke are hardly like Everton or Liverpool clubs you could bet on staying in the premier league for years to come.We also brought in quality players as they have already demonstrated in recent games. This is of course just my opinion.

Gibo.

Moxey ain't goin anywhere deal with it and move on, all this carpin is just causing unrest and aint helping the manager or team. wolves for ever.

Play henry right back instead zubar, he have played there before and for stoke he played there {Ed011's Note - We need Henry in midfield we've seen that more than ever recently.

Moxey out.

Gibo- I respect your opinion however, I think Jez only got market value for Fletch and Jarvo nothing more nothing less ( if the house market says your house is worth 200.000 do you let it go for 150.000, no ). The Stoke lads also said Moxey promised a lot and delivered nothing, starting to sound familiar?
I really want us to do well but see Moxey as a constant over so many years of under achievement. One day he will walk away financially secure and not giving a hoot about the Wolves unlike thousands of others who continue to suffer mediocrity.

I share the same concerns as you, but to have Stoke fans say we will become a selling club is very wide of the mark.In my opinion Jarvis is not worth ten million pounds, Fletcher maybe but not twelve to fourteen .Steve Morgan is not some bloke who came into money and decided to buy a club he knows who the bull sh*tters and the yes men are.He knows at the very least the cash incentive to get back into the PL , rather than buying dross at the end of their careers(Owen) he has went for youth/potential.If I was another set of fans to be worried it would be QPR.It is still early days but the one thing that shines through (even the rubbish) is that people CARE about OUR club and the direction it is heading in.Wolves ay we.
Gibo.

Coates the Stoke owner is a fan, he is bank rolling all their signings, Morgan said from the beginning that he will not be doing that, we will have to be self sufficient. I am pretty sure these FIFA fair play rules that are meant to be coming soon will stop the likes of Stoke and Fulham operating in this way. I'm not saying I particularly agree with Morgan's plan but to have a 36,000 seated stadium, a state of the art training facility and academy, he believes we should be in a better position than a lot of clubs our size. Moxey is only working to Morgan™s vision he is just a suit if not him someone just like him.
Most of my adult life Wolves have been stuck in the lower leagues but the last few I have seen us win the championship and spend 3 years in the premier league, so lets be positive and hope Stale can improve on that.

Agree with comments about Stoke. How much has to be spent to avoid the drop by 9 points? Thet are not long-term PL members. Remember Coventry, just above the drop zone season after season? Nuff said.

May I point out, that Moxey was an integral part of the Britannia stadium being built & also the negotiations to the buyout by the Icelandic consortium, He left, He was not Sacked, maybe Stoke fans have short memories. I personally think the guy is doing a great job when so many teams have gone to the wall but I also admit he`s made mistakes in the past.

One thing is for sure Stoke are doing a lot better than us in recent seasons.Jez Moxey has been at Wolves for 12 years and during that time many opportunities have been wasted to re establish our club in the Prem. Cash injections from Sir Jack, the £30million from Steve Morgan, all that Sky money ,two lots of parachute money and now the £30m from selling our best players.Yet we are told things are likely to get worse before they get better Do people who think Jez doing a good job ever expect us to have a successful team again,or indeed do they want one? !2 years is a long time and history is not on Moxey's side.No one wants us to do a Portsmouth, but how about doing an Albion or Stoke.

The post above is a good one. People keep pointing out we don't won't to be Pompey or Coventry but why not be a Stoke, Newcastle, Sunderland, Fulham, Sandwell or the mighty Wigan. We are bigger or potentially as big as all of those. Stop being fobbed off. This club of ours was once great and feared but to much crap has been put up with. Demand success, it's what we deserve.
SS could be the answer but i'll never be convinced about Moxey.
He is known nationally, why? How many CE's do you know in the championship or prem for that matter. It's not because of success, it's because he is full of his own importance.

All you need to know about how good Moxey is can be seen in the fact that he is not a Morgan appointment yet he is still at the club. Steve Morgan is no fool, he is a successful businessman and self-made multi millionaire. If Moxey was no good at his job, he would have been long gone. Stop whinging about Moxey, he does a good job, keeps the club on a financial even keel and makes the odd mistake like we all do.

Ian

Ian- Neither was TC and he stuck around for a while. Time will tell, but i think we could be in for real testing times and i've posted before that the gates will fall ( already starting ) and the best players will continue to leave. A recipe for disaster. Speculate to accumulate ffs.

All you need to know as to how poor Jez Moxey is , have a look at the league we are in and where we are in that league, this is after 12 years at the club. What is it 4 victories in 40 league games. How much more failure must we have to endure? Failed transfer targets, players contracts running out making do with poor players who fit the low wage philosophy, and organ grinders shielding the real culprit from accepting reponsibility for these ongoing failures.

Moxey is worth his weight in gold to us, remember keano being sold with no sell on clause - moxey would never have let this happen! he continually gets the best deals for the club which in turn is worth millions to us. He shoulders the blame from the man above, morgan is the one who refuses to release funds to increase contracts to the likes of jarvo, fletch and kites, moxey works to a budget, the budget is worked out by mr morgan -stop blaming big fat ugly Jez its not his fault. Mr mccarthy is to blame for allowing us to sell players like mark davies and the bennett brothers, moxey just followed his orders!

Moxey has been here for 12 years mate, same old excuses, blame manager after after manager if you like ,but in reality Moxey is the constant that links all these failures. As for worth his money in gold,we are losing £22m in revenue for not being in the Prem this year ,next year it will be £40m.If we don't get back in 4years the annual loss will be £70m.Moxey is worth his weight in pies not gold.

We get 25 plus million and we are scraping aroung looking for free agents and loan deals. Dont understand how so called pros cannot see we need a couple of defenders..Christ, its not rocket sience....If you do not bounce back straight away from the Championship, its a hell of a battle there after.

Agreed about gettin defenders in and also a striker. But chill out the loan window opens tomorrow, let's see what business we do there. There are still 42 games to go so let's not get ourselves wound up yet! I'm hopin Stale brings in a top coach as Connor was Micks Muppet and clueless! Anyone any ideas who Stale will bring in? Paul Tamworth

Yes we got £25m but take a look at how much we spent the last two seasons and you'll find it's actually pay back time.

Hav u ever heard of transfer deadline and wolves can only now sign free agents or playerson loan

Stokies at work reckon Wolves have enquired about Whelan and Danny Higgingbotttom on loan. I think Danny has played at CB and LB for Stoke, Whelan good cover for Henry and Doumbia.

Can morgan / moxey anyone tell us what the hell is going on at our club its like stand up now manager on about god knows what morgan is riping us apart {Ed011's Note - I really didn't understand that, I'm not gonna harp on about spellings and stuff but a little punctuation wouldn't go amiss.

Gotta be better than nothing...im sure theres a better lb about tho

Higginbotham is long since past it.

Sorry ed, it's football. Our club; not English class, passion from the heart.

I think we shud forget Morgan & Moxey they will do what they want they have the power at the club but we have the the chance now to get behind the manager and the players and get out of this damn division , so come on let's do it.

Well said buddy, move onwards and upwards lets back the Boys. Utw.

If you want to write with passion, learn grammar and punctuation. It helps to accentuate what you are trying to express! Not using it just serves to make you look uneducated {Ed011's Note - I'm not saying that it's just I didn't understand what it was they were trying to say. People don't have to be able to write a novel to post, people shouldn't feel any pressure what so ever to care about how they write their post, it's their opinions that are important not their spelling or grammar and I wasn't sure what opinion or point rather he was trying to put across. This isn't an English lesson or a debate about punctuation of grammar, it's a Wolves rumours and banter website, and although occasionally it goes off on tangents that might serve to amuse me the main focus has gotta be on my beloved WWFC.

Higginbotham was on loan at Forest last season, he did really well and the majority of the fans wants him back this season. He is a good championship-player.

Just wanted peoples opionion on Bakary sako -
what i have saw he has scored 2 goals in 2 games..
great passer
good dribbler
great pace
cracking shot
Free-kick taker

one for the future? one to watch out for? what for future french team maybe?

honest opionion if you think sako has what it takes in the french team!

Based on what I've seen I think he'll get a senior cap someday.

I dont think hes one for the future. In his little time here he has shown hes capable now. Whenever he gets the ball you sense something good will happen. But sayin that he is only 24 so he will only get better

I remember Wolves fans wondering why Zubar wasn't playing for France when we first signed him. Let's not get carried away just yet.

If he's on form, he should start each match. Remember the alternative is the team which got relegated (minus 3 key players).

Well he's got a few caps for the under-21's. My fear is if he keeps this form up (knw it's early days) some Prem teams will be after him..

Well the thought of Zubar playing 4 France has never crossed my mind. Dont think he's done anything on the pitch for me to even think tht? Now Sako..? The boy looks a bit special if you ask me. Already forgeting abt Jarvis.

He's not in the same league as Jarvis.....yet

If he keeps developing he'll be great messi who?

Not as good as jarvis? are you kidding me? can you even remember jarvis scoring 2 goals on the bounce?
and all jarvis did was run down the wings and most of the time do nothing... am i not right?
and he is under contract at wolves for the next 3 years? if any prem team wants him they will have to fork out alot of money for him..
