Its quite clear that a lot of the people on here expecting instant success are nothing more than arrogant egotistical persons, who seen to have a serious bout of inferiority complex!!

Let me explain

I was born and raised nr Northampton, my dad was/is an avid Wolves fan having moved from Brum as boy.

All Ive ever known is to support Wolves and wore the colours with pride despite ridicule from class mates who were supporting the popular top teams, Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs etc.

I've lived abroad and move around the country since and have stilll supported my club through thick and thin.

Now living in Suffolk with my own family, my son supports Wolves I guess its in his blood too, and yes he gets ridiculed for supporting them from the same type of lads at his school etc. It would be easy for him to support someone else but No he loves the Wolves just as I do, and he wears the colours with pride.

Supporting Wolves builds character and whilst I would love the club to be succesful it shouldnt come at the price of selling out to rich foreign owners, for instant glory, to buy a team, just so I can gloat a shallow victory!

Yes as long enduring Wolves fans we do deserve a bit of success but I believe it will come, and when i think back to the bad old days we have come long long way already.

Money has got in the way of the pride and passion of this great game.

Its about time some of our fans showed a bit of backbone and got on with supporting the team rather than whinging about everything and anything.

You want to see what courage is watch the Paralympics, If players like Fletch and Jarvis want to leave then sod them as far as I am concerned, more concerned in making a few bob than taking some responsibility for their own part in the team.

Lets get behind the new boys. Lets sing as one and turn our ground into a fortress once again, and let SM and the Manager do what they need to do which is continue to rebuild this magnificent club, from the ground up.

So come on show some class, show some bottle ansd a bit of nerve, otherwise just do one and support Man City or Chelsea, if its instant success you want you can get it there.

But its Wolves Till I Die

Wolves Moose

Totally agree. Brilliant post. Talk today that's it's only a matter of time before a player earns 500k per week.Yes per week.
Well I for one would not want to support any club that paid obscene amounts like this. Wolves are a real club with real supporters. We all want success but do we want to buy it or win it.

Where is the rumour? I think you have the wrong forum... {Ed011's Note - I felt like a quality post like that didn't need a rumour on this occasion, it needed to be on the front of the rumours page to remind us all what being a wolves fans about.

Now thats a REAL Wolves fan, best post i have read on here

The guy from Northampton has just adopted Wolves as some sort of alternative to religion. The results ,performances evidently don't matter. The fact that the people running the club are making mistakes and making a lot of money ,don't matter. The fact that overpaid footballers don't give their best ,don't matter. It is just some blind faith thing evidently. It reminds me of some of the cavalry who were sent down the wrong valley straight into the Russian guns.Led by incompetent men. When the few survivors got back, some of them said ''let's go again, Sir'.I have been going to the Wolves for 50 years ,I don't want instant success, but I do want the club to be managed competently and to compete on the football pitch.in my view every fan who actually cares for the club should complain until this is achieved.

I love that post i really do, i wrote a similar "rally call" before the start on the season, to the anoyance of one poster who said the same thing "is this a rumor" lol... what a plonka cors it isnt but just scroll down till you see one !

I agree in theory to all of what you say, but you have to look deeper than just blind pride and support, when you follow something so closely, you cant just ignor what your see'n

Against Derby, we were on the back foot most of the match and when it was looking like we were going to "win ugly" for the first time in ages, the same old problems were/are still there for all to see. If it was a moment of magic from Derby like a thunderbolt on the eadge of the area then thats acceptable, but it war a poorly defended corner in 94th minuite.

I think its abit harsh to tarnish some supporters with the "fickle" tag or "go support chelsea". Yes there are finkle fans out there, but i think one of the main reasons we as Wolves fans struggle to be patient is the success of similar stature local clubs such as Stoke & Tesco's. It was'nt long ago we were all established championship sides all together, since then we have all been promoted at some point to the prem, thats where the story differs though, as where they have built on that, we are now back where we started with arguably a weaker side with some of the same players we had 4 years ago...

My biggest gripe isnt with Stale, how could it be ?, he's only been there a short time and the players he's bought in look good, it more with the board, Morgans insistance of putting ground developments before football & Moxeys insistance of keep such a tight ship, overly tight imo.

By the time our "longterm" plan comes into fruition, the gap of the prem will have got bigger and bigger, even next year the sky money jumps up to 70 million.

None of this affects how i much i love the club, nor will it stop me supporting them or going to watch them, but its doesnt fill me with much hope neither, and as we linger in this mid table championship stability we miss out on that younger generation geting to feel the same pride to be a wolves fan as stoke and west brom youngs uns have now, my kids when eventually have them, WILL support Wolves (if not they'll be put up for adoption haha) but it would be nice for them to have a team that can brag moe than that we dont have debht, i was lucky as i grew up in the early bully era, what are the young wolves growing up with right now ?

Mills Wolf

The chap from Northampton could well be a religious guy who happens to love the Wolves also. Talking of the cavalry and Russian guns just ask Portmouth fans who they would like to be running their club right now. Gone have the days when the players had a whip round to pay the milkman. We are the envy of a lot of clubs but obviously they are not gonna shout it out.

As the original poster let me just say -

- I do care about the results of course i do, If Wolves lose sometimes I wake up the next morning and think oh F***k it wasnt just a bad dream.

I am just trying to put matters into perspective - Mancini brought several lesser players in prior to making his 1 Marquee signing on deadline day. THe fact is those lesser signings replaced what was left of Hughes squad. Stale is currently working with half of MMs squad & backroom staff etc and it will quite clearly take time for him to establish his style of play and tactics and overhaul lets face it what was a very ordinary team.

I wanted Mick out for a long long time as I could see he wasnt the man for the job to take this team forward.

The timing of his dismissal and the way it was handled etc was wrong we all know that - but its not all doom and gloom.

We could be owned by the Venkys, we could have Warnock as Manager or another tired old has been.

Dont get mne wrong I'm not fooled that both Morgan and Moxey are clearly astute business men. Whilst they are not Wolves fans at heart I can assure you both because they are astute business men would be gutted if the team failed and we found ourselves playing in the lower leagues for ever and a day.

Patience and a bit of support for the NEW manager is all Im asking if by January next year we are sat on the bottom then sure he probably needs to go nut for god sake the poor guys only been in the Uk from 1st July.

SS as been the only manager to work out that Connor is not helping the club go forward, how many managers couldnt see it
the bloke as got my respect now for sure , it may take time cos some players and old staff are going to cause him trouble behind his back but im sure SS as got his head screwed right on and will get them out.
i thought connor was going wessel his way back in again but finally we have a manager who can see the whole picture for once.

Back stale and things will change slowly

{Ed011's Note - Just going to say guys I just blocked a poster for a long term period for a racist post. I won't tolerate anything like that, I've never blocked anyone before but I will happily do it for anything like that. Felt disgusted that there could be someone who is also a supporter of the same club as me who could say something like I just read.

Well done Ed, and thanks for an overall good job, that helps page being run in a decent way.

Fair play to you

Good on ya - totally agree with your anger.

I support this Ed. Not acceptable. VB wolf

Well done ED, keep the scanks off this site. Again well done mate.

Well done Ed! No need for a racist on this site! 100% behind you!

Good on you Ed011, making the world a better place ;)

BongEyedLlama

Well done ED.. I hate racism in any form. Its ignorant and discaceful.

Good man! Don't need idiots like that on here. Keep up the good work.

kiddywolf

Well done Ed. there is just no need
for stuff like that. Keep up the great
work.

Thumbs up Ed totally agree keep up the good work

Wolfie (E&S)

Agreed, we dont want narrow minded posters on here. well done

mills wolf

There's no room for racial rantings in today's society...Homophobia is another...Stick to footy matters so well done Ed {Ed007's Note - There are strict rules and guidelines on all the sites. With the volume of traffic sometimes things can slip through the net though. Please feel free to bring anything you feel is offensive to our attention and it will be dealt with.}

What annoys me is all the dissagrees!

Me too. Should not be allowed to return. I support free opinion, but not at the expense of being able to make comments that are intended to humiliate because of another persons racial background. We are Wolves, we are all the same

so owen joined stoke we would of had a chance if we were still in the premier league

Hope we can get jones on loan now?? Paul Tamworth

Is jones a fullback?....surely theres a defender up for grabs

We need Jones up front, and a couple of quality defenders. Paul Tamworth

It would be interesting to see what zubar would be like at cb, hes played cb before and hes gt decent speed. Elokobi didn't do to bad either when he's been put there. DTM

Zubar would be an awful centre back, he's decision making and positioning is shocking, the bloke is a liability and should be offloaded ASAP. Big George isn't so bad at centre back but his height is his weakness, although he is good in the air if he were against a tall forward he would struggle.

Wouldn't trust Zubar any more ,,,damn liability he is

Seriously why would you prefer owen to jones ..jones is better player surely

To be honest I think Zubar and Elikobi have had enough time and chances. We need new and quality.Paul Tamworth

Ive seen zubar play cb away at ipswich and he was way better in the centre. Hard as a rock with descent pace. Its a good shout.

Regardless of where Zubes plays, think he'll be a liability at the moment, given his awful current form!

Media Wolf Pete

Agree with media wolf, not a bad player just really out of form right now and needs to be dropped.... problem is for who ? foley aint fully fit and stearmans prone to mistakes

Mills wolf

Matt doherty looks descent whenever hes played

04 Sep 2012 18:16:31
ive got faith in stale but i cant understand how he fails to see weve got defenders who cant defend you must get the defence watertight before anything else it beggars belief

We shud hav defenders at this level to be quality but id prefer to see stearman at rb and margreitter at cb

Brian clough always said that if a team cant score a goal against you, there is always a chance of scoring one against them! Please sort the defence Stale.

Maybe SS thinks with the right coaching and education our defense will be good enough. It's not as if he hasn't had the opportunity to strengthen.

Get shut of him he is not good enough we needed curbs and still do

Curbs are you having a laugh he was the one who turned the job down at the 23rd hour when he had shook on it he made us the laughing stock not moxey in moxeys own admission if he had kept his nerve the transition would have been seamless {Ed011's Note - Is someone seriously saying Curbishley over Solbakken already???

04 Sep 2012 17:13:25
Gabbidon, steinnson, robinson and reo-coker on frees and make a positive loan signing, like a frimpong or a steven caulker, prem players who need a game

The Pong is still injured and probably won't be ready till atleast the end of November.

I think Jake Livermore on a season loan would be good ? would fit in nicely

Reo coker would be Quality he is a good player.. similer to Olifinjana (former wolves player ) :P good in the air , average pace and great passer

Wolves fan but i was in the bolton end when they beat villa 2-1 AND Reo Coker was not very good! Reminded me of karl henry when every1 was getting on his back.

Is it too hard to find two full backs who can defend is it impossible to build from the back is it impossible to defend as a team no its not but the question IS WHY CANT WE DO THE BASICS !!

04 Sep 2012 14:06:22
ss wants an english coach ,ray wilkins?

Would love Wilkins here! He's class!! Paul Tamworth

Ray wilkins is class top class, do you really think he would come to us? mean he could prob hav his pick of many prem teams.

If ss does to well he will be gone, think will be a good prem manager just not great in champ?

Oh dear! Best hide the gin bottles!

Wilkins should have got the top job can't see him settling for second best.but think it would be an amazing appointment.

The same ray wilkins who reportedly turned the wolves job down before tc had it, so why would he become no.2 p.s.i would love him though

Stale AND Wilkins in the same dugout? They'd look like a massive pair of tits. The glare from the floodlights could blind the opposition.

Get your facts right the board called and turned him down

Im glad SS is looking at english coaches , this guy is looking more clever than i first thought.

Theyd be a beast of a pair and if big sam asked for a fight

Can someone explain what Wilkins has ever achieved?

Dont be fooled ray wilkins would come but i couldnt see stale wanting that

04 Sep 2012 13:40:42
check out what i just uploaded in the wolves sightings page!=D {Ed011's Note - It may not be up just yet, I don't upload the pictures it goes all the way to Ed HQ.

I disagree Jarvis And Fletcher was worth every penny

Fletch was,jarvis not

What did you upload then the suspense is killing me?

Agree m8. Is this bloke a wind up merchant?

04 Sep 2012 13:35:41
All wolves fans may as well get used to the fact that M & M are more than happy to run our great club on a shoestring and keep us second rate on and off the pitch. {Ed011's Note - They've brought Stale in, give them all a chance this season, they're letting Solbakken get the club running the way he wants to and have shown that by sacking TC just because he asked so let's see how it goes for once.

I Agree'd with Ed, not the poster.

They are on the take they promised a war chest and stale has already said we can't compete with most even though we have had 87 million come into the club in last 6 months where had this money gone

poxey moxey out

04 Sep 2012 13:23:38
Where have the "Karl Henry is crap" brigade gone. Perhaps finally realised we are better with him than without. Will never excite supporters but the dirty work gets done even if not noticed by the majority.

Henry is crap ,he is finished now we got togo and sako
,favouritism as finsihed at molineux,
get use to it

U can find a CRAB on most beaches that can go sideways and backwards oh we have one HENRY!

Ha Ha the unoriginal crab one again. Don't think he is finished, he will sit put his foot in and let the new lads get the glory but you will be blind to the ugly stuff going on. No understanding of the game at all.

No understanding of the game i agree henry u mean. how well did he do last season putting his foot in ??

Guys we didnt lose on sunday cos henry wasn't in the team ,we lost cos our fullbacks are rubbish ,Henry is just a average player and like someone said his days are numbered in that squad now.
Gone are the days when thick mick put his name on teamsheet first.
Henry will look out of place with the new signings so will Ward, Edwards and Zubar,
you had better get use to it cos a new era is hittng molineux (thank god)

Why give him a new contract then?

Those contracts talk were probably going on before SS came

We lost to villa cos henry put his foot in and probably put the team on the slippery slope down cos of it, when that win could have lifted the team up
unforgivable what he done

At least he put his foot in! Jesus can we all STOP moaning and support the team, no wonder we don't attract top players with all the carp they know they are going to get! Molineux will never be a fortress with the constant moaning, SUPPORT!!

Molineux wont be a fortress while some fans have got there heads in the sand, praising rubbish players aint helping..

Henry is probably one of the highest paid players and i would rather have give the money to fletcher, jarvis or kightly

Cant support the team when there isnt a match on ,dont know if you have noticed that.

This is about people's opinion so they can moan all they want

As i said no understanding. How does a ball keep getting to a wide player to attack a full back ( yes the full backs are crap ). Answer- through a supply line that operates at will if you have nobody in there to "break it up". The new lads look good on the ball, but what do we do when the opposition have it?

Calling players rubbish isn't gonna help either...

Karl Henry is very good at breaking up the play. But I would go for Frimpong when he gets back from injury, because can do a similair job and also offer a little more when we have the ball. Also Sako, Doumbia, Frimpong, Boukari across the midfield would be beyond beastly.

04 Sep 2012 08:51:28
Okay we aren't in any debt but that ain't much of a bragging right I'd rather we wer fourth in the prem.

We were where the Albion are now this time last year. This means nothing as we found out. Give the team time. The Championship play 46 games and we've only played 4!

We all would. But that either means lots of debt (like ManU) or a sugar daddy (like Man City). Frankly I'd rather follow a team that is closer to the fans and has to try hard to achieve success.

A team that's closer to the fan's. Sm. And mox. Couldn't careless. About the fans otherwise we would have a team of football stars. Not footballing farts. No debts no ambition wer becoming a joke no debts that's like saying my dad's richer than your dad

With great power comes great responsibility {Ed011's Note - Cheers Uncle Ben

Westham have loads of debt yet still got Jarvis And Carroll to name a few

Portsmouth have loads of debt yet still got the administrators in.

Rangers HAD loads of debt then had to re-form and start again in SFL3.

I'll take Wolves as is, thanks. We're in good company with similar teams like Cardiff, Leeds, Middlesborough, Forest and Leicester. ManU and Chelsea we will never be.

Its alrite going on about no debt is not a bragging right but it is! id rather be supporting my club that is financially secure than a team spending over what they have and eventually going into administration, pourtsmouth for example! and even big clubs arnt immune from financial ruin as rangers have proved!

TC was more loyal to Wolves than half the people who post on this site!

Quite possibly the most moronic post ever on here! You actually want Wolves to get in debt just to be at the top end of the premier league? You obviously don't know anything about business - I know let's do a Portsmouth or a Rangers! That will achieve short term success but long term heartache. I actually burst out laughing when I read that comment, thanks for brightening up my day!

Remember last season we had 7 points from 3 games and we still finished bottom

Reading won the championship last year....they lost 11 games!

Exactly mate. If this club was being financed and run by fans, I'll bet we wouldn't risk running up debts either.

I'm not saying let's get into debt what I'm saying is 2or3big names ain't gonna break the bank

04 Sep 2012 00:05:08
Who would the wolves fans like to see come on loan. What about you ed? {Ed011's Note - {Ed011's Note - I've been trawling the free agents and the players I'd be looking to bring in to do a job are, Gabbidon, Reo Coker, McFadden, Gretar Steinsson, Akos Buszaky. In regards to on loan we need at least one full back.

I think we should get steinsson think he is a decent LB

His a right back tho

Yes agree. Id love reo coker and steinsson

I no most people will hate this idea but what about Paul Robinson yes he played for WBA but he's experienced no's the league or Ricardo Gardner n shame were not in the prem there's some quality free agens abroad

Any more news on that german defender ,who wolves were talking to ? {Ed011's Note - Is this Geromel? He's on a weird four year loan deal to Mallorca.

We need a right back.

According to wiki he now plays for Kayserispor.

Gibo.

Why we always saying replace ward i went to cardiff towatch the game ward played wedll its zubar who cant defend bring them down all time useless its as right back we need

Neither Zubar or Ward can defend!

Wards not a fullback,if you check were 75percent of goals against stem from its from our lefthand side. Agree Zubar must be replaced as well.

I think from the brief spell I have witnessed him playing, replace Zubar with Matt Doherty
