I think alot of Wolves fans lost respect for Connor because of the rubbish he came out with in every post match interview when we'd lost badly and when he claimed to be the right man to take the job permanently after no wins in 13 games! He irritated the hell out of me and i was never so relieved to see the end of a season, the bloke was totally deluded in my opinion. I'm not sorry to see him go.

Just consider the effect if he had done the opposite. - We deserve to go down, its all over, they should have got a real manager in , I don't know what I'm doing, few players listen to me and I don't blame the ones that don't. Our couple of decent players should be concentrating on how they keep playing in the premiership.

i dont no how true this is but a few players are not happy with SS JL apperently they been talking norweigen infront of the players in stead of english so who no's what they are saying about em like i said this is what iv heard

I am sure if we had won all of our games so far this season you wouldn't have said this. Mind you I have made a few stories up myself but I suppose I was only 8 years old at the time. GROW UP!!

Utter nonsense.

What difference should that make tho ,english football is full foreign managers and they dont have problem

As they are both Norwegian I am amazed they speak to each other in Norwegian! How dare they!

Djii sekk iadsk doo saksknk kall ie Richard Stearman skansk aekk el fjo rubbish.

The bloke conducts himself very well. He is open & honest about everything & gives excellent interviews in English.
As for Lange, he is actually Danish, so one would assume his native tongue to be Danish not Norwegian!

No my point was if say you work with a few foreign people n they start talking to each other in what ever language they are but your standing there n they kept looking at you wouldn't you wanna no what there saying they could be calling you every name under the sun for all you

Just saying

Shopkeepers do that all the time in front of me....lol

Don't know how true this is but i've heard that SS and JL are not happy with a few wolves players been consitantly rubbishe when they speak English: Gailic; Norweigan or Black Country....whatever language they've tried they still cant defend

Johan Lange is Danish not Norweigan

Jeg er enig, hvor veldig tør de snakker sitt eget language.Oh og Stearman er noe dritt.
Gibo.

Den lanky muppet, du vet den...Richard stearman han er rubish

For SS it must have been like taking your new girlfriends Ex everywhere with you.......hopefully the burden is removed.

TC should have either left with Mick, at the end of the season or when SS was appointed. The first option is the usual course of events, the other options O.K if no successor appointed, but to stay when a new manager and another coach arrive is madness. Someone from the old regime, with v.strong links to the ex-mgr and with also with certain players. How can that have ever worked? You could see by the body language, SS just ignoring his comments. Thanks for the service, but you should have used some nous and chosen your time to move on. He would have also known that BW is SS's No.2, a relationship that has built over years.

I get the feeling that Connor wasn't the shapest tool in the box {Ed011's Note - Still he shouldn't be forgotten for what he's done for us, 13 years of service in and around the club is amazing. He's should always be welcomed fondly back. I met him while he was manager and the next day we found out he'd been sacked so he must have known and he seemed perfectly ok and was a lovely bloke.

Like i said not the sharpest tool in the box ,,dont think i would reacted like that if i knew i had got the sack

Well said ed. cheers terry good luck. Personally i would love him back some day .

Explain any contradiction in thanking TC for service given, but questioning why he didn't do what happens in 99percent of other clubs and move on.

03 Sep 2012 19:49:54
erd rumour that tc was sacked for undermining stalle any truth in this. {Ed011's Note - Haven't heard that but who knows.

It true, came from excellant source. Had this info passed to me on sat morning.

I would not be surprised one bit if SS was peed off with connor talking to MM and undermining him ... why did SS take armband off Ward as well so something happened there as well.

Go on Stale stamp on them hard they have had it too easy for far too long

Told at Cardiff game Connor was causing problems at Compton and he was on his wayout. Thank God.

Must be hard for Moxey to sack Connor. Whatever the catalyst was, it must have been big.

This makes more sense now. They wouldnt sack an Assistant Manager after 4 games and not the Manager so something must have gone on behind the scenes. Perhaps SS was told to work with him and to see how things went and it has not gone to plan. TC really should have walked when he was demoted from Manager and a new coach was brought in.
Hopefully now someone new can come in and SS can do what he really wanted to do coaching wise with the team. {Ed011's Note - The club have said something along the lines of they disagreed on how we should play.

03 Sep 2012 17:37:19
This is how i see the Terry Connor sacking. I think it had to be done and should have been done straight away after last season finished. Wish him the best and thank him for his dedication to Wolves for so long. You never know might be the next Coventry manager ;) lol. I would like to see SS bring in another assistant then maybe Bard Wiggin who he's worked with throughout his managerial career.

TWOLF

Shameful

Wonder if he walked with Mick back in Feb what the managerial situation would be today? By staying did he spike Curbs' case for manager? May never know. He stayed (or was asked to stay) for a reason - good or bad - and now he goes (or is asked to go). I'm tempted to say Fall Guy, but that would be harsh, so maybe all that needs to be said is New Broom. Anyway 2 down.....

Wouldnt be surprised if Tony Daley is next out the door very soon

Stale did say the lads aren't fit enough

Why? He's the fitness coach? Nothing 2 do with tactics or how we play.

Stale said the players are not fit enough ,,,Daley will be gone i reckon

A fitness coach who was rarely fit himself- ironic

Twolf: when you suggest Bard Wiggin as assistant manager, you may have got your wheels crossed. We don't want SS going on his bike yet!

03 Sep 2012 17:24:26
any news on kevin pazzoni, are we in talks.

Hope not, last time he came off the bench for cologne the radio station apparently said he was an own goal waiting to happen! We concede enough, don't need his help too.....saying that I've never seen him play so what do I know

He was being terrorised by the fans, that's enough to put anyone off their game.

03 Sep 2012 17:11:08
its a bit all of a sudden and out the blue ,i thought they would never get rid of him.
Wonder what as happened any guesses

Hes made a comment about the way things are goin. Like "how the hell do you think things are gonna go without buyin any sescent defenders and a striker. The players ha d reapect for mick but it doesnt seem stale has the same effect. Some of the players couldnt are less nd mick would
Not stand for that.

I've got a feeling Stale has told M&M's that in order to progress and find this 'identity' he is working towards, Connor must go.
I really wish Connor all the best, a loyal servant to the Club.

Yes I also wish Connor the best of success.

(Hopefully Blackburn, Blackpool, Leeds, Bolton or Cardiff will offer him the manager's job.)

03 Sep 2012 15:08:37
Thanks for all your hard work in the last 13 years TC. Good luck in the future.

Hate to see him out of a job but the change was needed.

Craig De Wolf

Thank god ,moxey next to go oh happy days at last

Thank god ,moxey next to go oh happy days

It is right for Connor to go, but he has also been made the scapegoat for Morgan and Moxey's lack of investment

About flaming time as well , now finally Stale stands a good chance of moving forward.

Who might come in to replace connor {Ed011's Note - Bard Wiggen is likely as he's at Lillestrom as assistant manager and rumours are he's contracted until the end of the month when their season ends and he's usually Solbakken's assistant manager - we're building up SS's management team from Copenhagen! Exciting times!

Clever play by wolves. Keep TC and if the season starts off bad then get rid. Someone to blame, unfortunately it's poor TC again!!

I think you could see from connor's body language that he wasnt happy and SS didnt want to work with him

I don't think his sacking was anything to do with results so far. (But should have been last season!) Can't see how he can take the blame for the mediocre start to the season.

03 Sep 2012 15:08:06
We will finish 2nd in the Championship behind Blackburn and Forest will win the play offs.

You are being very silly mid table at most

If we finish 2nd Stale will be taking the vacant Spurs job.

Unless there is some improvement (and I am hopeful there will be) we'll be about 14th.

Bottom half.

No way your on dream land we be mid table we cant create nuthink atall or cant defend

Mid table at Christmas, top 6 at the end of the season. Remember its early days with players adjusting.

By Christmas players will have adapted or replaced in the January window!

Happy days oconner as left

It's just connor!!

There is a god

There is a god.

I wish people would stop having a go at him. He has been at wolves for a long time and no one moaned about him before he was in charge. I mean you either dont know his name or cant spell so god knows what football brain you have.

Why so happy ?

Gibo.

Is that Des and what capacity was he working in?

One year ago 7 points from 3 games everything rosy we went down a year on 4 points from 4 played n doom n gloom judge at the seasons end not 3 weeks in.Most rational fans will tolerate missing promotion as long as u see progress this guy given time will get it rite given time the time to judge him is when the squad is of his making n shaping and not until anything he can acheive prior th this is a bonus little stes dad

^^ Most sensible comment i've hear for ages. We have to keep a sense of perspective here.

03 Sep 2012 15:00:40
...Connor leaving Wolves!

Media Wolf Pete {Ed011's Note - He's right confirmed by club.

Whoopppeeeee!!!!!!

Next Coventry manager

Good riddance he was takin money under false pretences!! He should of never accepted the managers job and then Morgan would of had to appoint an outsider and we would of had half a chance of survival!! He didnt get one win in thirteen games and then thought he should have the job permantly!! F....n loser!! Paul Tamworth

I imagine SS had enough of him, you could see what he was all about ,,,,sitting there waiting to jump if things go wrong

Can't say i'm shocked. Dont think he was fired though as E&S indicates. I think he walked as over the past few weeks you could see who SS was refering to during matches and it wasnt TC.
Wonder if SS will be able to get in another coach now

I was begining to think he was Moxey's bit on the side..

03 Sep 2012 14:33:53
If you want to see if Morgan is fleecing us go to Companies House website & you can order Full accounts for last tax year for £1.

Theres a lot of passion on this site but there is also a lot of impatience, personally I blame society! (That means YOU)

Why has only 7 million been spent why go for a manager outside the country it was only when liverpool whip us he showed any passion

Maybe because we might need to spend money in January? Or next summer when we could potentially be in the premiership again! Come on think

He is only after the cash.

He can do what he wants - it's his club.

03 Sep 2012 14:14:39
As I am 27, my knowledge of the bhatti brothers is pretty much non existence. Can someone please tell me who they where (other than bad owners!) And what they did, or didn't, do to our illustrious club. Any info would be gratefully received. Thanks in advanced.

Craig De Wolf

They came on the back of the doog godbless him saying money for the ground players ect but all talk did not have money for the milkman dick homden was a saint

Brothers who performed well known slapstick comedy stage act something like the chuckle brothers but not as funny. Dressed as circus clowns and did the standard routines, car falling apart, wallpapering over each other, buying a football club by mistake, thought it was a supermarket. Too silly to be funny.

Rumour has it the Bhattis struck a land deal (housing, supermarkets) which would have made them millions had WWFC gone bust, whereas selling the club wouldnt have bought them a bag of peanuts.

They basically ran the club into the ground. Selling any decent players we had and not signing any replacements. Tim Flowers was a 1st team regular at 17 in what is now the premier due to this. There was a promise of a new stadium to be built on top of a shopping centre ( similar to monaco) although this was never going to get planning approval in the 80's. The more people tried to force them out the more they squeezed out of the club. A rumour i heard was they were only seen once in any capacity at molineux in 3 years.

Craig, The Bhatti Bros became owners of the Wolves in the early80s,they took control to take us out of administration[we had previously got into debt building the now Steve Bull stand].They took on £2 m worth of debt, but just transferred this debt from one bank to a foreign one.No one knew much about their backgound and whether they had any money.Initially things went well and we got promotion to the top flight. They submitted plans for new stands plus development on the site that is now ASDA[land which Wolves then owned].Theses plans were turned down by the Council and after that the Bhattis sold players and any assets they could get their hands on.We had to endure 3 consecutive relegations and finished back in administration,in the 4th Division and with much bigger debts. The club was saved from extinction by the Council buying Molineux and a builder Gallagher who took over the club subject to the Council granting building permission for the ASDA store{which they did].

The Bhatti brothers! Plz can we NOT discuss those 2 degenerates on here plz! There name makes my blood boil! Derek Dougan saved the club. Get it right. He did all the nitty gritty and got the council to buy the land molinuex is on. (which we still lease off them 2day). So tht the chance of persons trying 2 turn our club in2 Allied Carpets (thts wht our ground nearly became.) will never happen again. We was saved with a minute 2 go.The receivers were actually at the mol waiting to chain and padlock the ground up.. They also did the same 2 Cardiff City 2 after they left us.

Molineux was bought by the Council at the time of our second administration,Doog had quit by then.

If you are talking about getting things right;the council sold the lease to Steve Morgan before we rebuilt the North Bank. I believe.Dougan was the front man, legally ownership passed to the Bhattis from administration. The newspapers were full of the club being saved with 2 minutes to spare BUT it was all rubbish; another consortium headed by Sir Jack had made an alternative offer. The Administrator hung on to squeeze more money for the creditors, and they got £ for £. it is called brinkmanship.Trouble was as I said above the Bhattis just transferred the debt from one bank to another, whereas Sir Jack's consortium was backed by real money. So the administration process sold us down the river.Sir Jack eventually bought the club a no of years later.

Most of you people are persons.. We all said at the start of the season we needed to give SS and the team time.. Now look, 4 games in, and everyone's f**king moaning. You all say one thing and do another. Your the same ed, saying moxey should leave, the same moxey you were praising 2 weeks ago for getting 25 mil odd for 2 players? Your always knocking moxey, sorry, does moxey train the defence? Is he our chief scout? Does he identify transfer targets? Get real most people just don't like the way he looks. Him and Morgan have been good to this club, where getting a pretty much brand new stadium? Cat. 1 training facility? we've signed 7 players in this window all of whome are great signings. Everyone said they were excited, now we've lost against a really good champ side whilst we are still in a period of transition and your saying sack SS, or if not that then still moaning like old women. Mills wolf I always appreciate your comments but why you want Morgan out so much when we have done more under him than we have for decades.
Sorry for the long comment but people always being so f**king negative and hypocritical winds me up
Mikey

{Ed011's Note - You're right but I'll try to explain myself. I continue to praise Moxey for the aspects I did before (financial strength, positive transfer dealings) the reasons I said perhaps Moxey should go and you can't say I didn't say it reluctantly (I just checked and the most firmly I said it was "maybe it's just time for Moxey to go") are as follows; the thing that worries me most is that when SS came in he immediately said that he'd wanted to sort out the defense, granted we signed one defensive signing and he's yet to have a real chance but I'm not pointing the finger at SS here because we missed out on Demidov solely because someone else offered higher wages and there was some confusion over the Geromel deal too and in the past we've missed out on quality players because of wages; i.e. Craig Gardner who we've missed out on twice because he was offered higher wages else where, we missed out on Scott Dann when he was younger because of wages too and there are many more examples.

I've praised Moxey on his transfer dealings and how he's maintained the club financially but in the past I've never shied away from saying that I think a Director of Football would have been good for us as it would've moved Moxey away from the footballing side of Wolves whilst letting him maintain us as a business. I think Moxey, Morgan and Solbakken will bring us success given time but I think we've missed out on a lot of quality players for a reason.

"most of you people are persons". Is this a new term like 'sick' in place of 'good'? Are you 12 years old or something?

Ed I also understand your points but... We have lost out on players for reasons beyond the perceived greed of moxey. Demidov as I understand was offered a stupidly high wage and signing on bonus by whoever he signed for. Geromel clearly stated he didn't want to sign for us and that was nothing to do with wages if I remember he wanted to stay in Spain. The club has a wage structure so why should it be broken for anyone that isn't truly worth it? Craig gardener good player but if he wants 50 a week and we only pay our top players 35-40, what's going to happen when we sign players like him for wages like that and upsets the rest of the team? He doesn't deserve to become the highest paid player just for the sake of it. Can I remind you we may of had a bad season last year, we may have been relegated, but it's thanks to a frugal wage policy and moxey keeping our finances tight that we were able to sign the likes of sako doumbia etc... And sell our players for so much. If The two m's were not so good with money then we would have ended up like so many relegated teams selling our best players for cheap, desperatly trying to reduce the wage bill, and making no decent signings only youth players and cheap lower league players. That didn't happen and you can thank moxey for that.
Mikey

"most of you people are persons". Is this a new term like 'sick' in place of 'good'? Are you 12 years old or something?

No.. I put the word I.d.i.ots.. There's obviosy some sort of filter that changes offensive words to 'person'

Mikey, Moxey's problem is not greed but caution. Mick McCarthy deserves the credit for all the money we have amassed via Sky,Sir Jack as well for selling the club for a tenner conditionally on £30m being spent ,rather than pocketing the money for himself.Moxey's caution has got us relegated. When we spent big,Fletcher, we made money on him. What we need is sound football judgement in the buying of players,Moxey lacks that judgement.Your prescription of low wages and signing players from lower leagues, will result in us never establishing ourselves in the Premier.Poor executive management decisions have put is in decline, the only question is how far do we fall, before something is done about it.Some of us have seen this before,we can smell it all the way down Waterloo Road.

I stopped reading after... "Most of you people are persons" Brilliant, but through my tears of laughter, I could read no more. But just so you know Most of my cows, are cows.

Yes and pylons are pylons but i do supect the writer left out a word by mistake - I would love to know what that word is!

If its Cows or indeed Pylons I will laugh!

To the person replied, yeah you are right, we do need a better footballing minded executive at the club as well as moxey, I agree with you. That's not moxeys fault though.
Mikey

Do clubs have to publish the wages of individual players in their annual accounts or merely give the global sum? If the latter, there's no reason why we couldn't attract a quality player to WW by offering a little more money because none of the other players would know. I am not saying we should do a Portsmouth but, as we so desperate to bring in competent defenders (and because we have the funds), it might do the trick. I mean, if someone offered me £60,000 a week I would consider playing for WBA.

In response to the people querying the word persons. As the original poster explained, there is a filter on here that removes any words like i.d.i.o.t and replaces it with the word person. You bunch of persons.

That explains a lot. I was wondering why the word person appeared so much. Hmmm...let's try this. persons, thickos, degenerates, morons, imbeciles, persons.

Moxey is a useless pratt and i wouldnt trust him ask any stoke supporter

So I pick 6 derogatory terms and it turns two of them into "persons".

03 Sep 2012 11:32:49
Click agree for a fresh, wealthy ambitious new
regime.

Click disagree to remain with Morgan and Moxey.

{Ed011's Note - The thing is I'd agree but I really worry about who we'd bring in. Could be a great Chairman and Chief Exec who's prepared to give money and profits to the club and work with the manager while not being interested in taking money for himself. Or it could be another Venky's or even worse... and like Voldemort I struggle to say their name on this site out of sheer fear... another Bhatti Brothers and I think Morgan would be most interested in the buyer who's prepared to pay the most money unlike the legend Sir Jack is. That's why I'd take time to think are M&M so bad or should it just be Moxey being replaced first, I'm not so sure Morgan should go.

You may want us to be bought by some cash rich, footy mad sugar daddy but I don't see a queue forming to be that person.

Did the baggies need a cash rich daddy or just good management.

The baggies have got it spot on, as much as it pains me to say it. We're light years behind them, not only in league places but also in footballing ability. {Ed003's Note - Are you really a Wolves fan ?? }

Yes i'm a wolves fan of 35 years, and a season ticket holder for a good chunk of those . If you can't see that the baggies have a better set up than us then you're seriously deluded. Just saying. {Ed011's Note - He's right Ed003 I was saying how well they're doing things yesterday.

Credit to the Baggies, they've found out how to stay up without spending a fortune. We can ponder what might have been if we'd have let Mick go and signed Woy instead.

Well if you think the bags have got a better set up go and support em then! Coz its obvious your more concerned with wht they're doing? Personally i dont give a flying you knw wht- they are doing.. Pay no attention 2 them (unless we play em in the cup) beccause all i'm interested in is MY club.

There is a fascination here with our local rivals. I don't pay them any attention either but some here pay them a lot of attention - usually negative. Pointless, really. Just another team.

Don't care if you've been a Wolves fan 35 yrs. I've been following our team over 30 years too. Don't come on here bigging them up! Plum..

I wasn't 'bigging' them up. Just making a reasoned observation, and i'm more than entitled to make that observation here. Get a grip, plum.

Listen you deluded person. You sound like a bag. Aint wasting my breath on ya. Truth is your probably a bags fan anyway trying 2 wind ppl up on ere. Coz a REAL Wolves fan would NEVER give tht lot any credit 4 anything.. Go an crawl back under the rock you came from. One things 4 sure. You wouldnt stand in front of me and big em up. Knw wht i mean? {Ed011's Note - I hate them and we're the better club no matter what league but it's childish to act like that.

^^ Makes me proud to be a Wolves fan with neanderthals like you on here. Take a long hard look at yourself pal.

Get it right. The bags aint done nothing better than us yet.. We had 3 seasons in the Prem.. This is THERE 3rd ssn. So for them to be better than us, they will have 2 stay up this ssn. Simples.

03 Sep 2012 09:50:57
What is going on! Every body can see we cannot defend. It is not possible to organise the players we have they are rubbish! As knew it when he took over but we do nothing other than buy midfielders roll on Jan then mass clear out.

03 Sep 2012 09:25:59
No panic, you can still get promoted in this league from losing 10 games or so.

Sako and Doumbia have hit the ground running and the rest of the new players will soon follow.

We also have to remember the players that have been here for a while weren't coached into a correct style of flowing football. It will take time for those guys to adjust to a nice passing style.

Give it time, maybe ever write off this season. But Stale will have us as a top 10 premier league club in 5 years {Ed011's Note - I firmly believe if he continues signing players of the quality that Doumbia, Sako, Peszko and the glimpses of Boukari we've sign and if BBS turns out to be as good that that will be true.

Its not rocket science, but if you persist in playing the same back four that gave away penalties and leaked goals like they did last season you are asking for trouble.
Wake up and smell the coffee - PLEASE

03 Sep 2012 07:51:27
Rome was not built in a day.. SS has found hungry raw talent to take over from those wanting out - all have come out and said they want out.. Doumbia for one is a huge talent.. Whelan will sign on loan as soon as loan window starts with Davis going out to give us second DCM.. Foley and Ohara will return..

Wolves strongest XL.. Ikeme, Foley, Johnson, Berra, Ward, Henry (C), Whelan, Sako, Doumbia, Ohara, Ebanks - bench Hennessey, Stearman, Elokobi, Siguardson, Doyle..

Ebanks fit equals goals.. 2nd DCM gives security in front of defence.. Full backs to get forward to give natural width (one at at time not together).. Johnson requires left footed CB to start with (who? this the million dollar? SS looked at both Bathh and Margeriter last week.. Neither convinced.. Long shot is Elokobi who should be given chance at this level and left footed).. Ikeme will need to be ousted by Hennessey and will not give in on his return.. {Ed011's Note - Sky Sports News today reported that Glen Whelan doesn't want to leave Stoke.

Back four for getting relegated: Zubar, Stearman, Berra, Ward.
Back four for getting promoted: Foley, Johnson, Margreitter/Craddock, Elokobi

(discuss)

Fans need to be patient. We all agree that it will take a while for the players to take on board a new playing style which is clearly better than the previous one.

We'll be mid table by Christmas but fully expect us to have a quality final 20/25 games.

Daz

03 Sep 2012 00:02:57
I'll keep reminding people we do miss Karl Henry when he isn't playing, he holds things together!! He is so important to us especially while the new players gel, and he covers the back 4 . It will get better .

Agree. You got the ppl who slag Henry. But when he aint in the team u notice the difference. N he gets right up the oppositions noses.. Ask Joey Barton? He knows! Lol.

Henry is only missed because our defence is piss poor.

If you think Henry is the saving messiah well wolves are in bigger trouble than i first thought ,,Henry is just a average player nothing more nothing less.

The problem is Connor hanging around and Stale for not sorting the defence out when he had the chance.....
DEFENCE IS PROBLEM

Like someone said yesterday 2 matches to sort or tell him to get his coat , we don't want another mccarthy

We can how see morgans plan nice guy i am sure the new manager is but he looks to me to be a yes man to morgan/ moxley he saw dvds and not got players in at the back all that money we are being you know what on by morgan sorry hope he goes asap

With out a doubt most influentle player at the club ,, massive hole without him .. Super captain as well

I agree i was saying this after the derby game but crap on the ball but good off it without him they just go straight through the midfield. and the defence is crap so they cant deal with all the pressure

WILKO

I'm not sure why SS didn't use the backbone of the team that played Northampton. Ok a lower division team but we passed the ball around well and as the game went on we started to see the confidence of Forde and Davis growing. If SS had brought in Johnson alongside Margreiter or Batth, Boukari and Blake at least there would have been some continuity. I thought Elokobi linked up well with the new boys. {Ed011's Note - Margreitter didn't play because Solbakken wanted him to sit back and watch what the Championship was like according to Tim Nash.

02 Sep 2012 23:42:34
Hopefully Foley should be fit soon. He is by far our best right back on his day.
