people who say they are not bothered if we dont go up this season are mad.we need to get back up this season.i dont want to stay another season in the championship and with the manager we have we should go back up.all we need is morgan and moxey to put the team before their pockets and spend some of the money we made from transfers and we will get promoted.these two scrouges are the reason we were religated and if they carry on runing our club we will never achieve anything.how can people defend them they are parasites living of our great club.

We need a British coach bringing in to point Stale in the right direction as far as incoming signins are concerned. We need British players who know this league and are quality. We need a left back centre mid, winger and striker! Hopefully they will be quality and have some pace! Seb and Doyle will NOT get us promotion! Paul Tamworth

I kinda like life in the championship - for 3 seasons I watched my team be made fools of week in and week out. Id be happy to spend a couple of seasons down here enjoying more wins and challenging for something. Dont get me wrong tho, it would break my heart if we got to the play offs and knocked out in the final.

I agree but, a couple of years I. The championship would get the team playing as a unit! However, if we don't go up we could lose players such as Doyle, Johnson, sako etc

I agree it is nice now goin to a game beleivein were goin to win! Unlike in the prem when I would go thinking if we only lose 2-0 today we've done well! How many more excuses, how much more rubbish?

We were in transition when McCarthy came in, and now to cover up the inadequate spending and ambition we are supposedly in transition-yet again! {Ed011's Note - We were in transition the first 2/3 years with MM after that we stagnated for 2 years.

Get rid of stale

Ed 011, easy enough to say we were in transition under MM for the first 2/3 years. Let's give credit - year 1 and a play-off position with a squad he assembled for 1/2 nothing. Year 3 Championship winners. We might have "stagnated" as you put it, but in a higher division. And year one in the Prem, those wins against Spurs and West Ham away are still memorable for some reason. Year two, took a lot of points off the Top 6 if I remember. Last season - not so much stagnation as nosedive, top management failure, case to answer the other 2 Ms. {Ed011's Note - Perhaps I was too harsh, memories of our time with MM at the helm may be tarnished by his last season unfortunately. I said it remembering that MM said after he'd been sacked in an interview that the summer before the season started he was considering a complete overhaul of the squad but decided against it, perhaps had he done we'd still be in the prem and he'd still be our manager, who knows?

Ebanks not doing to badly by all accounts! He'll get 20 this season, what's the obsession with another striker? Saying that I wouldn't mind that Charlie Austin from burnley, he's class!

Solbakken has had an encouraging start however with squad that is paper thin and the kids not being ready. That is all that can be expected. A couple of incidents going either way could have seen us out of the play off places (e.g penalty decision against Wednesday) or top of the tree (e.g injury time equaliser by Derby).
As mentioned we are paper thin who is Ebanks direct competition (Nouble surely isn't as he does not feature, Sigi will take time and too much expectation is on the lad to deliver regularly this season), who is keeping the new lads on their toes (Edwards, Forde, ?), who can fill the holding midfield role if Henry is out? (Davis is lacking, he may in time but not now), who is Ward's competition? Johnson or Berra out who comes in? Foley gets injured again who comes in - remember this is a player who has suffered over past 2-3 years with injury? (Zubar, Stearman, Bathh - either a liability or with Bathh one who has failed this far to step up for one reason or another). The goalkeepers at this time will pass off as sufficient and with Hennessey's return will be one of the few strongly competitive areas with 3 goalkeepers experienced at level and an up and coming one in McLeary.
If we have everyone available I think most can agree on 10 of Solbakken's XL. I for one would like to see us mix it up and at times go for the throat act with intent, one whicj I think will be case in time as Sako, Doumbia are showing signs. Now Solbakken has started well considering here are a few of my own thoughts. Scrap the 4 in the middle. Play three - Henry (holding), Doumbia and Frimpong (if able to secure loan), back 4 would remain as Foley, Johnson, Berra, Ward with Ikeme behind them (on Hennessey's return they can duel for the spot), play a front three with positive intent this being Sako, Ebanks (Sigi in time), Frazer-Campbell - if able to secure on loan (all with pace), all three would cheat and play on last man - this would mean that the opponents would play in fear of counter and be reserved when sending players forward. Henry would protect and in Doumbia and Frimpong would be the athletic ones in middle of park. With this XL I feel we have more than enough to beat anything in this decision and win title. Then strengthen by adding competition (looking at bringing in CB, LB and another forward). Many of you will criticise the exclusion of Doyle - I too rate him but the most suitable formation and tactics for the current squad does not play to his strengths, with a heavy heart he would be asked to leave alongside Hunt, Edwards, Stearman, Zubar, Elokobi (thoughts are with you and hope to see you playing sooner rather than later), De Vries. Davis, Nouble, Forde, Ismael will be given chance to impress and develop to style of play - if they don't they will also move to pastures new.
Finally to all those Wolves fans criticising the summer departures and the so called big 3. All performed well for Wolves when we were having a difficult time and were always going to look for the summer move to stay in Prem. If given the chance for them to return most Wolves fans would be up for it - for me the only one I would have reservations in returning in future is Jarvis (as good as he has been his cross conversion, dribble success, goal return (pre last 10 games of last season) was not the standard of one of the best) - my feeling is we got more consistent impact from Fletch and Kites.
Anyhow before I wrap up this season is a positive step and will be the start of another successful era (prem era) for WWFC - Pad2

Games played with Henry 6 plus an hour Vs Palace. Goals conceded 3.
Games without Henry 2 plus 30 mins vs Palace goals conceded 6.
So for people moaning in the past about him last season it was the same then all the 5-0 results came when he was not in the team. Davis isn't the answer or atleast not at the moment, Davis played well last season because he played in a 5 man midfeild alongside Henry. Frimpong isn't the answer either because he's not matured enough to sit and fill in he liked to get forward a bit like Doumbia.
Can't wait for O'Hara to be fit again not to replace Henry but we may play a more adventurous formation 4,2,3,1 we would destroy the league with O'Hara, Henry and Doumbia. {Ed011's Note - Who would be your 1 striker?

That's the only thing I was worried about ed do you sacrifice Doyle for Ebanks and not have him doing his thing. So I'd have Nouble haha only joking I think Ebanks with plenty of support from the three behind he would thrive.

Nothing to do with henry going off ,its to do with having crap strikers who dont put there chances away ,doyle is a waste of time and SEB is just plain lazy.

Palace should have been dead and buried ,that was the best i seen wolves play in ages apart from strikers not doing there job {Ed011's Note - Out of curiosity which strikers who we could realistically sign would you want? Although knowing Solbakken we'd get a foreign player who no-one had heard of who turned out to be sensational. My choice would be trying to nab Gary Hooper but with the promise of the champions league it would probably have to be as we got promoted.

I really couldnt tell you what striker is available anymore or want,like you say Stale will probably get a foreign striker in we never heard of , im just cheesed off with doyle and blake missing chances, Pez sweeped a brillant pass to doyle last night and he botched it up again cos he as got no pace.
I was really impressed last night and rather see Siggi play 90 mins and waste it on doyle's misses.
Doyle as been trashed by MM and cant see him getting it back

Cant you people see that henry is useless get rid of him

even though weve kept a couple of clean sheets ,we know our defence is not good enough.we also need a striker,blake is not going to do it for us.we have money in the bank so we need to spend but while morgan and moxey are here that is not going to happen.i like stalles style of play but the team needs strengthening.if morgan is not going to back stalle he should sell the club to someone who will.he watched us get relegated last season when if new manager,not conner,had been brought in before the transfer window closed we would at least of had a chance of staying up.fans should realise he is just a money man who is holding us back.im not saying we should go into debt but the money made from transfers should be reinvested in the team.

Forgive me here,but isn't SEB currently our top scorer?He clearly can still cut it at this level.KD isn't scoring but is still doing our job.Get off his back for christ's sake.Due to two injuries in two weeks we now DESPERATELY need cover on the wing..And a left back..

Sorry. But apart from Sako. Seb's the only one scoring goals 4 us at the moment. Dont care how he puts them in the net. A goals a goal.

Oh yeah gifted because he pressurised the centre half in to making the mistake closing him down. If he was to lazy he wouldn't of got the opportunity to score now would he.

another Moxey/Morgan basher.

It was down to bad defending, and yes blake did well dont get me wrong. But at that point with a better striker with a bit of go about them wed have scored 2 from open play. Im fed up of relying every week on set peices and gifts.

Now that boukari and peszko are out for a month or two we should go and get robbie brady on loan. He will want to come because he doesnt want to be playin in man u reserves. Hes got good pace and can chip in a few goals. UTW
