so we have new owners with loads of dosh they say. so with 2 days to go and still no squad. what a opportunity they to buy some of the championships finest players who would have taken us up. no we had to get unknowns in on loan. loan I ask. how many games before I hear the chorus of boos and sack the manager. cus let's face it we will not be beating rotherham on saturday. seems the wolves still want to do it on the cheap. maybe next year in league 1 they will spend the dosh. dark days ahead. and not a doom and gloomer just a realistic.

It's early days since the takeover and transfers take time. Things will be fine and don't moan, I'm guessing you will be booing if we don't win every game? The transfers are happening but the squad needs time to gel, won't see the true potential until October in my opinion!

Why are Wolves fans so impatient. This time a month ago our club was stuck in a rut going nowhere but down with no new players. Now we have new wealthy owners who aren't afraid to spend, and all of a sudden the future is looking pretty bright. Whether it will take 1,2,3,4,5 years there seems to be a plan in place. I can understand people being a little weary of Mendes and all the foreign players BUT i'd much rather have the feeling of unknown with Fosun than the feeling of apathy with Morgan and Moxey. Can we all just sit back relax and see where this takes us. Give Shi, Guangchang and Zenga a chance! its not going to happen overnight and we certaily aren't going to have a squad capable of winning the league in a week! Personally i'm not expecting promotion this season. Play offs would be nice and then next season with the majority of new players coming in this summer and a few over January bedded in, a couple new additions next summer we will be ready for a promotion push and mean it! none of this "we're aiming for the playoffs" rubbish we had from the last lot of muppets.

Unfortunately I have to agree with demon. Being realistic our squad is weak and our new signings and manager are a shot in the dark. I would like to be optimistic, but so far the new owner, may have lots of money but clear have very little football knowledge. Why not get people around them to advise with real knowledge of the championship? Instead they have George mendes, an agent! Repeat an agent! and some bloke from Italy!

You will never be happy with anything happening at Wolves, even promotion. You say in another post that WBA will be getting even wealthier Chinese owners than Wolves. Although I can't quite believe it, we are now favourites to sign Luis Alberto from Liverpool after Seville pulled out. Derby and Aston Villa are behind us. Not sure why he would chose Wolves over those two, but I'm not going to complain.

Just wanted to say before takeover we had no ambitions and now anything is possible. not too sure on the new manger but with the new signings having true technical abilities we now have players to help our existing players to aim high and give 100% because now the door behind them is now half open!

I don't care how much money you threw at the Baggies, they'd never have glamour, there's not a single cool thing about them, they are not a seed to another Man City. If the richest Chinese is looking to buy the Baggies, it will be for the Chinese market and because they are so naive of Western markets.

Seriously, stripy shirt like out of last century with a blue that's neither here nor there, a thrush as a logo, no stunning heritage, named after an insignificant English provincial area with nothing for people abroad to relate to, no counter culture roots to make them seem edgy, just nothing. They are painfully sensible.

Unlike us, if I was a Baggie I'd be worried about people from abroad buying and what they really intended. Maybe they'll buy them and ship their whole club to China, Sandwell and all?

The Chinese know about reviving faded English brands, they can see the intrinsic value in Wolves. They love the name and the old gold and the history. The word on the street is that Fosun looked at WBA last year and rejected the deal.

Any sane buyer of the baggies (is that a contradiction? ) would likely wait until the season starts before concluding a deal. If they make a poor start and become relegation candidates you can wipe £100m+ from their purchase price. I think they are a very risky £180m investment and Jeremy Peace might be thanking God for parachute payments this time next year!

re Deep Throat that's ace, Fosun rejected the Baggies :-P I shall ask Jack the Hat about that if he ever resurfaces on E&S.

On the Baggies official forum they have a thread dedicated to us called Dingle Watch, that has been a bit obsessed with, paranoid and depressed about our Fosun take over recently. Maybe they need another thread, for all the people who looked to buy the Baggies and thought, naaa.

I suspect though they and Brum might get bought by Chinese, I suspect all these Chinese buyers are probably in cahoots together and on a Govt project, they'll maybe buy our regions 4 clubs and try and get a 4 way derby thing going like the Northwest have with the Liverpool and Manc clubs, as drama for their home audience.

But certainly the genuinely glamorous ones, Villa and us are now taken. Can't see Baggies as being the big hitter out of the 4, they have the weakest brand potential. Unless Thrushes are highly significant in China, maybe they'll build them a birds nest stadium? I hope they get bought by Chinese, who want them as their brand leader as they're also intending to buy Tesco's. And they'll ban bouncing in the ground as it's somehow anti-communist.

I assume Jack that you are referring to me being rude about myself? I may be big headed but I agree that I'm one of our best ever players and, apart from Billy Wright, people also say I'm Wolves best ever captain as well as best ever on field motivator (that Danny Baath could learn a thing or two from me about captaincy) . I was known for my barrel chest when playing but, unfortunately, the barrel has moved further south in my more senior years! Hence my current nomenclature!
