Doumbia will b great in the championship made the first, made the second 4 himself and bossed the midfield all the 2nd half, yes its against shrewsbury but still he played great

Yeah i was there tonight, doumbia looked amazing, someone by me in the stand called him Yaya Tongo, summed him up, wasnt verly impressed with Sigurdasson though

In spells bbs looked good like to see him with SEB instead of nouble who is still rubbish n I will tell that to anyone I'd rather have Heskey least he can head a ball or chest a ball n that's saying something
Thing is for Siggy, he made a couple of good runs but you could tell it was his first game with a new team. He didn't get much service either, most of the possession we had in the first half was between the back 4.
How can anyone disagree with siggy being poor last night? did you go to the match? lets just hope he comes good....

been to shrewsbury tonite 1st half team was terrible wouldnt even play in the cup but the 2nd half team cud beat any other team in the championship if fletcher doesnt go him instead of ebanks-blake and if jarvis doesnt leave him instead of forde.
I was there to doumbia looks like a cracking signing great goal as well instead of being frimponged it's you got tongoed ;-) another impressive display by Davis as well I'd still get rid of de vreis Berra n Henry that just my opinion
No fletch, o'hara, kightly, Jarvis, and first half - no hope! Doumbia a class act. Milijas and hunt poor. De vries was tentative. Second half much better.

anyone know what the score is for the shrewsbury friendly {Ed011's Note - It finished 2-2, we were 2-0 down at half time then Blake pulled one back and Tongo Doumbia got the equaliser.

De vries, doherty, berra, batth, foley, edwards, eggert jonnson, hunt, sigurdasson, nouble and someone else but i cant remember who? we were awful 1st half, nouble cant control, siggurdasson was poor but didnt see much of the ball, jonnson, edwards and the whole defence not good lets just hope they were rusty......2nd half much better, forde, doumbia, ebanks and doyle all looked bright
I went against Walsall and you can see the defence remains a problem area - Cannot hold a line or manage any type of striker movement even against poor oposition - has to be changes surely?
This is why johnson struggled last season ,carrying 3 dinkbats can wear you down.
SS needs more defenders cos they just cant be trusted anymore

{Ed011's Note - Burnley have signed Sam Vokes for an undisclosed fee on a three year deal most likely the proposed £500,000.
Hopefully negotiated to buy out the sell on percentage fee from Fletchers contract as part of the deal!

Ed, now that apparently permission has been given to knock down the steve bull stand. Will this have a knock on effect on the other two stands? And everything will be re-done, or will it be 3 like st james' park? Or just the two? your thoughts? Josh {Ed011's Note - I'd like to think that all 4 will be done and we'll have all the corners seated too. If all the stands look like the North Bank does now the ground will be very impressive and if they bring the seat prices down like they have done at St. James' we'll be able to fill up to 40,000 in the top flight I reckon. The current plan in place is that at least 3 sides will be done with the Billy Wright being the last one, and if they do the other three then I'm sure they'll complete the project.

Agree will Ed 100% anything less than 12 million is an insult, and anyone trying to get him on the cheep is going to fall foul, love him or hate him but moxey will see us right in any deal for fletch, sorry but I just don't see how any team can think so little of a player who ended up having one of the best shots to goal ratios in the world in what was by all accounts a poor side last season, and then say he's not even worth 8 million?!? I would have fletch over Andy carrol any day of the week! Rant over!

I wouldnt sell for 15million to be honest, dont see how we could buy anyone better in the championship as an out and out goalscorer, if we can keep jarvis, kightly and fletch and get rid of some of the mediocre players we will be promoted

Looks like Connor Wickham might be going to Celtic on loan. Chances of him joining us as part of a Fletch deal seem to be diminishing.

Team for tonite has excuses for Jarvis being absent - groin strain. No excuse for no O'Hara tonite. Just been omitted from selection. Looks as if he could be going.
It says for o'hara that he will not play after coming back from injury against walsall. Wud u give someone 2 games in 4 days after coming back from being injured for months

Wolves have given the green light for the steve bull stand to be knocked down at the end of the season! {Ed011's Note - Onwards and upwards! It'll be sad to see it go and weird to only have the one long stand but the Stadium will be v impressive when completed.
Should do it now so its ready for when we go up. but its still good news!

Wallace was one of three players to accept a new contract at the Rangers Newco (it is on bbc football Scotland)So this one may not have any legs.Could all be hype.Doherty started at LB against Bray so that could provide competition for big George & Ward.

I'm not getting persuaded by the rumours of in & outs, Doumbia's name wasn't mentioned by anyone on this site or on the Internet for that matter, which goes to show that non of us have a clue who we'll sign.

I note on another site Kevin Phillips, who isn't too shabby a striker,reckons Fletcher would be a bargain at 10-12 million. SteveBullStand - Wolves have rejected a £10m bid from Sunderland (E & S). They are determined to keep their best players and no seems to want to leave anyway.
12m plus Connor Wickham would be good deal as reported in the daily mail .
