e+s reporting a move for former target cody connor of huddersfield might be on, more midfielders surely not,

02 Jul 2015 22:52:58
He would be a great addition though

I was shocked we didn't try to get him the start of this season

Now proved himself in the chanpionship he would be a very good addition

If this is true I hope this isn't a replacement for McDonald. The two of them together with price and Evans backup would be class!

All gone quite on wingers gk and fowards though?

03 Jul 2015 01:26:35
Tbh Tim spiers said that it would take really silly money to persuade us to sell kmac and Fulham won't pay that I think this means it could be the end for saville tbh I think he'll be loaned out or sold kmac and coady could r a good paternership coady will sit and hold and allow kmac to go forward I think he could be a case of kmac and coady and then price and Evans maybe? I think kmac will also sign a new contract tbh he's been told he won't sold he's been told he will be a really important player for wolves next season

Now one thing I wanna touch on his Rowe and Jaocbs kj has today said that Rowe and MJ have good start the pre-season and expect them to feature next season tbh I think Jacobs has been told he will replace sako if I'm totally honest you don't come out and say that for no reason let's get him playing now start him In every pre-season game out there on left even if it is only to get 45 mins to start with atleast he's playing and getting his confidence back

03 Jul 2015 08:25:15
If we take the cheap option and rely on Jacobs and Rowe to replace Sako, I guarantee we will not make top 6!! KJ is at the biggest club he will ever get to manage and he's scared to stand up to the 2M's and demand players be brought in!

03 Jul 2015 10:17:00
See I think Jacobs could do it he just needs time and game time he proved for blackpool he could do it at this level out wide so why can't he for wolves? He did it at blackpool because lee Clark had faith in him and I think if kj does he'll do well

03 Jul 2015 10:27:23
Your obviously happy to stay in Championship Matt? This squad is not good enough to get promotion, we need more quality. Sako was a frustrating player at times but u couldn't moan about the goals and assists he got. Rowe should be loaned out or sold and Jacobs is a squad player! We need a match winner to replace Sako!

03 Jul 2015 10:31:57
Our league position last year doesn't lie we are short of 3 players at least with quality and experience, the true facts need replacement for sako everybody would agree with that savile and Rowe seam waste of money at the moment evans and price seam alright players but how long will it take for these 2 to hold there places week in and week out Jacobs not in is plans ,think boukari if fit could be interesting could be like new signing ,hope spelt name right.,
In my opinion surely you can't play championship football with 2 games a week when it gets started with only 2 out and out strikers, that is not to say I would pay £3 million for c.woods because I wouldn't not worth that much and we need a keeper for cover for ikeme, sorry if you think I am negative but I have not seen anything yet that as improved the side and to think we were so close last year, but ay what do I now,k.j.will hopefully surprise us and bring players in I hope

03 Jul 2015 13:28:02
Tommy Rowe might be asked to be competition for Golbourne at left back. Then Hause and Ebanks Landell will be direct competition of Batth and Stearman.

03 Jul 2015 13:31:16
Tommy Rowe is rubbish! End of!!!

03 Jul 2015 13:59:23
Keep the faith, everyone worried about signings but we do our business on the quiet, coady in, a left winger and a striker and we are good to go. Loans for a LB and goalie would be nice too for cover :)

03 Jul 2015 16:18:44
Hi Paul from Tamworth,
Just wondered if you had anything positive to say. two years ago we were a shattered football club playing in the old 3rd division.
Next season with luck we should be challenging for promotion, back to the premier league.
Regards Rowe, I don't know how good he is as he spent most last season injured, as for Saville, he is very young and in the past we have ditched young players way too soon.
Lets just wait and see, KJ and his team know what they are doing , it takes time to rebuild a football club.

03 Jul 2015 17:46:15
Roll on Aug8th then we will see if KJ and the team know what their doin! Pressure on this season, play offs at worse!

03 Jul 2015 19:49:36
Well said Dunbar22

03 Jul 2015 21:42:15
Paul Tamworth play offs at worst? Jesus Christ was you one of the deluded folk who thought we should win promotion in our first season back in the championship!? I think the play offs is achievable and have had a cheeky bet on us winning the league but that's optimism not expectation. I think if we make the play offs would be a good achievement not at worse! Reading this page most the time I really do wonder what runs through people's heads. Yes we have all the history and makings of being a big club but we're still in a rebuilding phase after two terrible seasons of successive relegations! The rebuild of a young hungry team started in league one and I think last season we did fantastic to miss out on the play offs on goal difference! As I said we have all the potential and makings of once again becoming a big club in England. One step at a time! Also everyone panicking about signings keep the faith. I'm going to use Southampton as an example as they had a serious fall from the prem ended up in league one rebuilt fair enough they had two successive promotions but they didn't spend big they produced their own players which is what we're trying to do as I've stated before about us trying to promote a footballing philosophy from the under 18s upwards now. But the main reason I'm using them as an example is last season the beginning of the season they lost 2/3 key players from their previous season hadn't really gone out and brought anyone that got any of their fans excited and look at what a fantastic season they had. There's a good reason we're sat on here posting on a site and not managing the team ourselves! My god the negativity on this site is unreal at times!

03 Jul 2015 21:56:09
Your happy with the way things are going would of done Sbrek, no need for a surmon! Church is on a Sunday 🙏

{Ed003's Note - chill}

03 Jul 2015 22:19:28
Completely agree Sbrek couldn't have put it better myself and you saved me typing a long post ha ha in KJ we trust

04 Jul 2015 10:46:27
Lmao sorry Paul Tamworth didn't realise how long it had got and thanks south banker any time mate haha

04 Jul 2015 13:22:27
Sbrek, get real the only place to be is premier end of ,if we don't go up we will become a breeding club for other teams dare I say it them down the road the money is to great to miss out on,yes we done okay last year but so did Brentford they done even better considering we won league year before
Don't like to talk negative but its a fact of life we need to get to premier were the money is,anything else is failure because take it from me all our so called good players will be poached

04 Jul 2015 19:45:06
Sack kenny Jackett and get some of you lads in charge were soon be winning champions league.

Some of you need to get out abit more its a big world out there.

Wolves aren't the only team capable of winning the league next year. Once again your have 3 x premier league clubs with the money to just buy who ever they want.

Does that always work No. But doesn't half help.

You have Derby who already have gone out and get the real madrid assistant manager. Is he any good time will tell. they have also just signed tom ince.

I could go on but I don't see the point as a lot of you will just for some reason believe because you support wolves we have the god given right to win the league.

02 Jul 2015 20:31:02
We've been linked with a move for ex Liverpool defensive midfielder Conor Coady, we tried to buy him last season but he decided to go to Huddersfield to get more first team football. The 22 year old is valued at about 2 million.

02 Jul 2015 11:41:07
Who do you think we will go for as a new keeper - I've been told that KJ has Tremmel on his hit list as he's just been released by Swansea 9but I think they know as much as me!). were we not link with Foderingham and the Southend keeper at the start of the summer??

02 Jul 2015 11:52:36
Not sure who we will go for as back up keeper, but il be happier when we start movin a couple of quality players in. I'd of thought KJ would want it to happen before the France trip.

02 Jul 2015 13:39:57
Is colin doyle still available? if so I think we should go for him.

02 Jul 2015 13:54:30
he's just joined Blackpool - wouldn't mind David Forde for 12 months

02 Jul 2015 13:56:33
No he's gone Blackpool

02 Jul 2015 14:22:59
Would not say no to anything at moment all that's happened is we might get ameobi and that's on loan after he as signed for Newcastle, what's that all about, shopping on the cheap again, hope we get some quality in to go with our young players feel better then hope k.j. is keeping it quiet and surprises us with some quality players

02 Jul 2015 15:33:39
I wouldn't hold your breath bigwolf, we've been here before lol

02 Jul 2015 09:44:09
Hearing wolves are in talks with recently released Striker John Guidetti. Celtic and Norwich also interested.

02 Jul 2015 10:29:03
Would be a great sigining. I like Guidetti a lot, but think we will be beaten by either Celtic or Norwich to him. Also he'd be on around 25kp/w and I don't think he'd be guaranteed 1st team football with us, He'd be more rotation with Dicko and Afobe

02 Jul 2015 06:49:37
Wolves need wake up and realise u have pay good money for quality players if that be wages or transfer fees , time stop penny pinching yes u can get good bargains for not much money but usually experiance costs - we not got big wage earners at club anymore so why we not getting targets? - I not say spend £8m on a player but we got least compete. Come on wolves let's get quality experianced players and stop looking at scraps that others don't want - in kj we trust

02 Jul 2015 09:10:51
I totally agree rob. It's getting very frustrating us not competing in the market, soon as another club show there interest we either pull out or don't match the personal terms.

A lot say we have done well with transfers while Kenny has been here but I disagree. In 2 seasons only decent players we have bought are Afobe Dicko McD maybe Goldbourne. that's 4 in 2 full seasons.

Dont get me wrong Kenny is doing a fantastic job and I like the players he identifies I just think he needs a lot more support from the board when it comes to transfers.

02 Jul 2015 09:38:39
We should try to compete but not be silly. We're not rolling in money so the money we have should be spent wisely. Yes we have got rid of the big earners but I wouldn't be surprised if the club is still losing money every week.

We lost out on signing Wood but we don't know exactly how much Leeds were willing to pay him. What if they offered him £25K a week? I don't think Wolves could compete with that. I'll be happy to let the young players go again and if we can bring in the right players who fit in with the new financial budget we have then great.

02 Jul 2015 09:45:37
I don't know what you expect, we missed out on Wood, which is a good thing by the way. 3 million for a player who wouldn't get near Afobe or Dicko, we need another ST but we don't need to spend 3 million on one player, Wallace is a bright young player, need to get another GK, CM, LW and ST.

02 Jul 2015 09:57:11
Think your both being a little too negative. We've got a good squad that's been built from signings and players from our youth squad. Yes we have missed out on a few players but for every player we've missed out on we have brought another in who's as good as or if not better e.g. Wilson - Afobe. I personally think we've been very good in the transfer window's.
Successful Signings;
Afobe
Dicko
McDonald
Golbourne
Henry
Jacobs

Unsuccessful Signings;
Rowe
Clarke

Average/Unproven Signings;
Kuzscak
Saville
La Parra

We've also used a large amount of players from our youth team all of them have been very impressive e.g. Iorfa, Price, Hause, Evans.

Yes i'd love us to go and sign a great experience player for about 5m+ but we've been down that road before and look where it got us. Yes all experienced players aren't like O'Hara ect. But we are creating our own experienced players who other clubs down the line will be wishing they had.

I might be being too positive but i'm very happy and excited with the way we are going at the moment, and all our players look happy and look like they're enjoying being part of the club

02 Jul 2015 12:10:23
Need a strong CM with experience -
Danny Drinkwater
Wilson Palacios
Rodolph Austin
Liam Bridcutt

A experienced back up striker -
Adam Le Fondre
Billy Sharpe
David Nugent
Danny Graham
Frasier Campbell

A good winger to replace Sako -
Junior Stanislas (Needs game time)
Jordan Ibe (On loan)
Vadillo (Real Betis)
Neilton (Santos)
Allan Saint-Maximim (Saint Etienne)

Back up goalkeeper -
Wes Foderingham
Daniel Bentley
Gerhard Tremmel
Ben Hammer (Leicester)

One from each an we will compete at the very top this season! But it ain't going to happen I don't think! Only see kids coming in

02 Jul 2015 13:20:30
I'll admit I too become frustrated at times, but it all makes sense. We have to look very carefully at who we're signing. Morgan was given a cruel slap a few years ago. £12m was spent on Johnson and O'Hara. Both were vilified and largely responsible for our double relegation - another enormous financial loss for the club and Morgan. Solbakken's signings also failed - bar of course Sako. But Morgan gave £20m to Solbakken, and as he rightfully protested after our loss to Blackburn in 2012, we were the FIFTH BIGGEST SPENDERS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE. This is neither sustainable nor successful. So I am fully supportive of the programme in place of promoting youth. What seems like a lack of ambition is actually fairly calculated.

Looking over all the serious targets we've had since Kenny was appointed, who was a serious loss and who are we delighted to have dodged. I think bar Callum Wilson, all our other targets were bullets dodged - and I fully expect at the Leeds United circus that Chris Wood will join that ever expanding list.

Take a quick look at Burnley - got promoted two years ago. Total spend on transfers; £800,000. That means we should require just another £600,000! Look at Brentford. A meagre total spend. Yet clever rotation and a great spirit got them to the play-offs. Bournemouth - £3m on Callum Wilson and now they're in the big time! You don't have to spend big, you just got to be savvy. Or at least in our case, have a little Moxey!

Keep the Faith you guys above, the loan window opens soon!

02 Jul 2015 13:55:38
Well said Golden Wolfie, too many people are quick to jump at Morgan and Moxey and moan for not spending enough. Realistically Morgan has spent a lot of money on our club, admittedly sometimes on the wrong things, but I feel he has learned from his past mistakes and is determined to right the wrongs of 2 seasons ago and doing it in a way that won't leave us short in the long run, or say after 3 seasons in the premier league as before. Morgan, Moxey, Jackett and Thelwell are working well together at the moment so let's not get on their backs and support our great club
