SteveBullStand- Just spit balling here, but Wolves have a chance to get Bassong. If solbakken likes him he could get him on loan and WHEN get promoted we could sign him permanently. Just a thought.
Isn't Bassong going abroad? Or will he stick with us? I'm all for him,I think he'd be solid for us..
Is it just me who didn't rate him?
He is a very good player, the muppets around him didn't help his cause but could be a very astute bit of business,
I really like bassong too but I've asked ed011 about him a couple of weeks ago and he mentioned that it seems likely that he will move abroad to France, even if he didn't move I think with tottenham having a new manager and king retiring and all that he would want to fight for a place there. Never know though
Why would we sign an average player who wants big wages when we can finally give youth a chance?

Injury prone and somewhat average as far as I could see. Have to say that after the hype I was very underwhelmed...I was hoping for a leader that could seemingly drag the others up to a decent level, a bit like Craddock can seem to do.

Regarding today's report in the E&S the headline did read CONSIDERING a transfer request,i can confirm this surprise surprise this was his agent talking fletch himself has stated it's not true no more firm rumours at the minute but i will keep you posted if any developments , but i like the TOM THORPE one but there is nothing firm on this at present :)

If you actually read the article, at no point does the phrase "transfer request" appear, it's a sensational headline on a nothing article.

{Ed011's Note - Hearing we have taken young Man United defender Tom Thorpe on loan for a season, will try to confirm ASAP.
Haven't come across him. Quote normal for ManU to loan out young players for a season before deciding whether to keep or sell, so could be useful.

you would think that fletch commenting on the transfer request is good news at the moment, hopefully he never puts one in. In my eye's we should sell him for no less than 15 mill, just imagine fletch and the sig up front, hammill kightly wingers, guedioura, milijas and Ohara fighting for a spot, henry and davis fighting for the other!
Right back sorted, fix the rest of the back line (savic please) and could be a very enjoyable season.

The key word is "considering". This is a non story from the E&S. Lazy inaccurate reporting

Yeah I'm getting a bit tired of the E&S. I think they deliberately try and rile the fans sometimes to get a reaction. They were/are a lot more sympathetic to Mick, TC and the under performing players.
This is true comment as i have twitter and my dad 'Wolfie E&S' phoned me up to confirm its not true its just E&S making speculation. Whereas the Zubar story there has been no contact with the two clubs involved yet.

I think Antei is a defender and Viviani a midfielder.
Heard this on TV channel Rai Sport whilst on holiday in Italy.
AS Roma are nicknamed Wolves does that change the above rumour at all. De Rossi highly rates the midfielder of the pair

AUSWOLF {Ed011's Note - It's no secret that Frimpong loved his time at Wolves and I remember him saying that he would want to come back after he'd recovered from his injury and I'm certain we'd have him back, I thought he was a brilliant player for us and made our play much more exciting. I honestly think if we'd have had Henry, Frimpong, O'Hara and Davis all fit and available between January and the end of the season we'd have survived. Whether Solbakken moves to get him back and whether Wenger wants to use him in the coming season is different and I don't know when he will have recovered from his injury.

AUSWOLF {Ed011's Note - We have inquired about taking Savic on loan, some have described the move as "hopeful" but it seems like an advantageous move for both sides as we gain a player and a player described as a "flop" by newspapers and Man City fans gets some more experience on the pitch. I think the key factor in whether we get him or not is down to his decision, it is a considerable step down for a player from getting a premier league winners medal to the Championship but Man City are looking to sign another defensive player and that would mean him not playing many if any games which could encourage him to step down.

Besiktas could make a move for Wolverhampton Wanderes French right back Ronald Zubar following the departure of Tomas Sivok.
Zubar has 1 year left on his contract, but I'm sure SS will asses him before any decision is made.
Zubar signed for Wolves from Marseille for 3 million euros in 2009, besiktas would be looking to pay 1-2 million euros for the former French u21 international although wolves would want to alteast recoup what they paid for him.

looks like we'll be loosing another defender ronald zubar to besiktas. i wont be very happy if he does tbh we bought him for around 3m and he's never been as good as he was in his first season i think he owes us at least the last year of his contract {Ed011's Note - I'd rather not lose him on a free but as with a lot of our players he's better than we treat him as being.
I wont miss Zubar. pretty average player if u ask me. prefer Foley. but yeah agree. wudnt want 2 lose him 4 nothing.

West Ham seem to be splashing the cash I suggest his agent knock on their door rather than blackmail us.
Yes good luck to him. And let's not get involved with the loyalty thing. Players would never leave their first club if they were loyal (hence no Fletcher at Wolves in the first place).
