Who are these 'close sources' that are saying we're getting dann? McCarthy days he's happy with the squad, so no more signings, not big money signings at least!

i dont understand all the hype regarding scott dann. arsenal.liverpool and chelsea have all gone elsewhere to solve there defensive problems, so this tells me that there are better defenders out there for less money or is it the fact that danns wage demands are so high that even the top clubs won't pay the amount he is getting a b-ham ?

Wolves will sign Dann on Wednesday if there is not a substantial bid from another club. Wolves have tabled a £5m bid for Dann on a take it or leave it basis. This is the same as the bid they made for Johnson. Birmingham will accept the bid late on Wednesday if they do not receive a better offer.
Dann, who has been an unused sub and emitted from the European squad in order to keep him injury free, is keen on a move back to the Premier League.
Both club and player will wait until Wednesday before deciding the players future, either way Dann will not be a Blues player on 1st September.
