Article on HITC re Patrick Bamford.

With M'boro already bolstering their front line this summer, surely worth a look?

27 Jul 2017 21:30:05
No thanks. He's lost the spark he had a few years ago. We can do better.

27 Jul 2017 21:38:37
Sorry not my first choice mate. just think he's not good enough for what we trying to achieve. Prefer andre gray and gallagcher.

27 Jul 2017 22:09:33
Totally agree Greyleg.

27 Jul 2017 22:21:12
Out of our choices what would would fans like to see?

My order from recent speculation would be:
1. Vincent Aboubaker (strong, young, record is good)

2. Afobe (good link up play with dicko and record was good in championship, crying for him in games such as blues, burton, Rotherham, Blackburn anyone at home really last season :) )

3. Gray similar to dicko allows us to play one up front record was good but not sure about now.

4. Gallagher a lot to prove may be too big a challenge a promotion push.

5. Mitrogl. Greek striker at benfica formerly Fulham player good record but is he up for two games a week and been bullied and the little games the championship managers and players play?
Diego Costa-unlikely.

28 Jul 2017 07:53:11
Would love to see Gray but think more likely to stay in prem.

Think Gallagher realistic and could do a job but whether he could do it for a full season remains to be seen.

Would expect Afobe to come back, but would welcome him if he put the effort in and did the job.

Don't know enough on Aboubaker to comment.

Wasn't impressed with Mitroglu at Fulham, but only a few games etc so not really fair for me to condemn him on that - and from what's been said he's got a good overall record.

Diego Costa beyond unlikely, whatever the connections.

I think more likely to see Gallagher and one more from abroad that is more unheard of (if 2).

Looking forward to this season more than ever. Important to not get on their backs if we don't start as hot as hoped though!

28 Jul 2017 07:59:36
I see big mick moaning about us spending big at the end of the day we have deserved this us loyal fans the have seen Morgan and moxey filling us with false hope year after year.

28 Jul 2017 08:15:33
Mick spent a fair bit himself and look at the players we got back then useless deadwood. Should have been sacked in 2011.

28 Jul 2017 08:32:50
I wouldn't go tht far he did get us to the prem fair play to him on tht front and he didn't spend 47 million like now so I still like him.

28 Jul 2017 09:07:49
Never forgive him after 5 1 against the baggies Johnson, Ohara etc killed us for a few seasons.

28 Jul 2017 09:58:38
To be fair to Big Mick he got us promoted with little money. Only trouble is that neither he nor the owner were equipped for the Premier League. Yes, they spent relatively big on a few players, but the wrong players. Morgan wanted to build stands rather than build a team. How we survived 3 years in the PL was a minor miracle but also a crying shame that we couldn't see the wood for the trees.

28 Jul 2017 10:01:30
What very short memories some people have! Mick McCarthy was a brilliant manager for us. Inherited a total shambles after that arse Hoddle walked out and got us into the play-offs the first year and promoted as Champions in only his third season whilst playing exciting attacking football. Unearthed some brilliant players like Matty Jarvis and Michael Kightly and brought in excellent players at the time like Karl Henry, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Kevin Foley etc. He was working under Morgan and Moxey too of course so was never give loads to spend - we definitely didn't spend big money relatively even when in the PL. After the 1-5 Sandwell defeat we dropped into the bottom 3 for the first time that season - and look what happened after that once he'd gone. If Morgan and Moxey, who were both scared of Mick, hadn't taken the opportunity to sack him I am convinced he would have kept up. I guess everyone on here wouldn't mind beating Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs again - would you?

28 Jul 2017 10:41:50
Well said DAS. Short memory syndrome with some fans. mick deserves nothing but thanks and utmost respect.

28 Jul 2017 10:45:06
The 2 M's did the right thing sackin McCarthy as he'd peaked and he would of got us relegated. He should of gone after the Blackburn game end of last season before. The two M's balls up was appointing Connor instead of stickin with Bruce and ignorin Wolves fans moans! Anyway that's all in the past so best leavin it there! 👍 The Futures Bright The Futures Fosun 👍.

28 Jul 2017 11:03:23
I misread that then as peter andre Greylegwolf lol.

28 Jul 2017 11:05:32
Humphy mate today's market. Johnson 10 million, O'Hara 12 million, Hunt 8 million, Doyle 14 million, Fletcher 15 million.

28 Jul 2017 11:42:38
Pretty sure we were second highest spenders behind man city when we got Fletcher n that. Mick got us up there but as Paul said he should have had sack after Blackburn the primadonnas that Mick took on killed us, again like Paul said let's forget about those times it's Fosuns turn 😎🖒🖒.

28 Jul 2017 12:00:36
Lmao. even in today's market I don't agree with some of those figures. As for mick, yeah maybe it was time to move on, but unless there was a definite plan b in place, he should have been given till end of season, as it would have been a better option than the debacle that followed. Mick will always have my thanks and respect for the job he did at the time.

28 Jul 2017 12:21:02
Yh rite those players wouldn't cost 15 million for all ov them mate.

28 Jul 2017 12:35:12
Mick deserves more respect. As stated earlier after losing like we did to Sandwell town there were only 6 points between us and it was the first time we had been in bottom 3. Morgan expected more for less investment. Unfortunately football isn't like redrow. Mick also got a lot for his money in terms of his signings and did go after Moses, Lallana for example but moxey did his bosses dirty work. Don't get me wrong moxey did have a clue how to treat fans. And the last 12 months is refreshing to see after years of dogma.
I'd say two strikers afobe to support dicko and another strong lone striker would be bliss. An aggressive midfielder is a must though stronger teams will over power us at the minute. UTW.

28 Jul 2017 13:09:24
Good un rated. maybe we could sign him for half time e tertainment. 😁😁😁😁.

28 Jul 2017 14:09:31
It was pointless sacking McCarthy when we lost to the PJ wearing. They then replaced him with his number 2 Terry Connor. Absolutely no logic what so ever. Glad M and M gone here up to Fosun.

28 Jul 2017 15:04:38
It was only pointless because of the bloke they gave the job to.

28 Jul 2017 22:36:48
Which is my point. don't replace someone who's doing bad with someone even worse or unproven and lacks experience. Which they did not once. Not twice but three times. Connor. solbaken. Saunders all calamity appointments done on the cheap.

29 Jul 2017 08:47:59
Under MM we also tried to sign Andy Carroll and Gareth Bale. A bit of luck and more ambition and Wolves could have remained in the Prem. As we know it went terribly wrong following Micks departure!

29 Jul 2017 09:18:36
Anyone slating big Mick is a joker themself, straight talking bloke that gave his all. Doesn't deserve grief several years later.

27 Jul 2017 20:42:15
dave Edwards I feel could be on his way to Ipswich
the realist is a tease
paultamworth is having football withdrawal symptons
the rain pelted down today it must have bogie fans crying.

28 Jul 2017 12:23:17
Does anyone know when the documentary is?

28 Jul 2017 13:00:28
To be shown next week according to Wolves website in the last hour,

New Screens and PA system tested tomorrow and on the new pitch a new team.

Reasons to be cheerful part three.

28 Jul 2017 13:48:02
Friday and repeated Saturday.

28 Jul 2017 15:38:39
They normally do these to teams tht are going to be close to promotion so all systems go let's do it massive massive season ahead ☝☝.

27 Jul 2017 12:09:37
Ashley fletcher gone for medically Middlesbrough after deal reached with west ham in the region of 8million. Another one gone.

27 Jul 2017 14:23:53
Another one not worth the money, no track record worth speaking of.
Him and Assamblonga Boro must have more money than sense.

27 Jul 2017 15:24:49
Andre Grey rumours intensifying, didn't think it would be possible a few weeks ago but apparently he's out of contract at the end of the season and Mendes is his agent, would be a great signing IF we can pull it off.

27 Jul 2017 16:16:08
Andre grey no chance, West Ham favourites. We ain't going to get a decent striker at this rate it will be to late for any one any good?

27 Jul 2017 16:23:28
Andre Grey is not coming to Wolves, a close family member of his confirmed this for me this afternoon. Wants to play Premier League football.

27 Jul 2017 16:27:43
5 weeks till end of window chill.

27 Jul 2017 17:36:26
Can someone confirm if Andre grays odds of moving to wolves have gone from 100-1 to 20-1 is Andre coming home. Coyw.

27 Jul 2017 17:45:56
He's 16/ 1 now but that's only because people are believing the rumours and bettin on it. Hope it happens 👍.

27 Jul 2017 17:56:20
Andre is coming home then boyz.
I was told he was in talks with west ham and that wolves would be another club he would talk 2.

27 Jul 2017 17:40:27
Ed just received a watts app from my best friend about grey did not know if we could put post up on here.

{Ed047's Note - Sure you can buddy.}

27 Jul 2017 18:36:19
Thanks Ed think we have covered it for now but the watsapp said word for word- hi bro just been told by college at work who is best friends with andre grays cousin that he is in talks with wolves and his odds have gone from 100-1 to 20-1 maybe could be signing happy days.

{Ed047's Note - Sound buddy, i might have a cheeky £5 on it, hes a local lad my mate went to Deansfield High with him and knows him well and says he has heard that Gray would prefer to stay in the Epl but has not ruled out Wolves either so certainly one to keep an eye on.}

27 Jul 2017 18:46:20
Will you lot calm down! 😂😂
"No strikers left at this rate"
"We won't sign anyone"
There are 5 weeks left. five!
We didn't know about Jota till 2 days before then bang!
My guess is it'll be the same with a striker or two.

If Nuno wants one Fuson will get him one. They haven't broken our transfer record 3 times to sit in this league.
Watch this space.

27 Jul 2017 19:00:28
Top Man ed I'm going to have £20 o 2.

{Ed047's Note - Not a problem buddy but please remember only bet what you can afford to lose hence £5 for me in case it dont happen as i love a bet but hate loosing especially when its 1 bloody team..}

27 Jul 2017 19:36:52
Nakhi Wells and/ or Andre Gray
Aim high 🙏😘🎢
Dream the impossible dream ". " Or is it.

27 Jul 2017 19:38:47
Come on. chelsea don't want diego costa. he wants to go back to atletico. but can't till january. he's mendes man. so let's av i'm at the mol till then . yahoo happy days.

27 Jul 2017 19:53:02
If it does turn out to be Andre Gray then I feel that would be a great addition.
He's young, keen, and would fit in with the profile of the other purchases - viable and able of increase their value significantly.

28 Jul 2017 05:51:53
Yes there are 5 weeks until the window closes, but in that time we have 5 league games, and if goals from our forwards are a concern then we won't get off to the greatest of starts will we?

28 Jul 2017 10:20:57
I love betting £1 on 13 teams on the off chance for winning something. I'm still getting though £77 I won 5 years ago.

28 Jul 2017 10:45:07
Nothing like narrowing the field down Howler! Name your 13 and their odds and let's see if you make a profit.

28 Jul 2017 12:21:43
Old Wulf, was going to run a twitter page on my small bets but I'm far too lazy, i did have one last year when we draw 2-2 and that was the only one to let me down very early in the season.

28 Jul 2017 13:52:22
If and it's a big if, Andre Gray signs for us, wouldn't be surprised to see Dicko moved on. Similar type of players and we need some variety, a bigger target/ holding type forward would get the best out of the more diminutive, smaller and pacy forwards.

27 Jul 2017 12:42:13
Andre Gray = premiership football.

27 Jul 2017 19:39:04
Andre Gray = loving the project.

27 Jul 2017 12:30:29
I am led to believe Andre Gray will speak to Wolves today with serious discussions taking place of him joining the club. Possibly not everybody's choice, but he's a very settled young man these days and can almost guarantee you 25 goals per season. What would you guys think of him joining the club and leading our attack? I think he could be the perfect final piece in the jigsaw. He would be available free but probably demand serious wages!

27 Jul 2017 12:35:44
Yes would welcome him. but with 1 more striker aswell. possibly sam gallagcher?

27 Jul 2017 12:35:58
Would take him all day long. Easily bag 20 plus goals .

27 Jul 2017 12:38:45
You don't know he's talking to wolves. He's probably also talking to the other clubs linked to him.
Personally I think he would be a good acquisition I'm not sure about guaranteed 20 plus goals a season.
If we do sign him there is still a missing link IMO.
Gray, another striker, battling midfielder is a must.
Would take gray, attacking flair midfielder and battling midfielder though.
There should be goals from all of the 3 if we play 3-4-3.
UTW.

27 Jul 2017 12:40:08
Go get him wolves!

27 Jul 2017 12:44:54
hewhoreallyknows nothing . Andre Gray would not be free as 1 year left on contract . would cost £10 million plus. however he is a local lad and Mendes is his agent . would be great signing but if available will go to Premier club.

27 Jul 2017 12:48:32
I'm pretty sure he has another year on his contract so it wouldn't be free. i'd imagine 10-15mil with wages of 60-70k. He is easily worth that. will score the goals we need in front of a home crowd.

27 Jul 2017 12:52:00
Would love Andre gray plenty of goals guaranteed but 70/ 100 thousand pounds a week will be to high for wolves.

27 Jul 2017 13:00:40
If available and willin to join, get him in, then have a bet on him finishin top scorer in the championship! 👍.

27 Jul 2017 13:04:44
Just been told still 6 months contract left with Burnley, so fee to be paid as well, would we still want him?

27 Jul 2017 13:07:33
He used to b on wol books his whole family supports wol bring him in if he's free he will score goals for us with quality players around him Ashley fletcher gone to Middlesbrough 7mill agreed with West Ham.

27 Jul 2017 13:09:51
He obviously misses his Banks's god bless him. Seriously, we would be most fortunate to get him.

27 Jul 2017 13:10:13
Contract runs out next year so he would cost us up to 15m I recon.
Take him all day long. Not the glamorous name everyone wants but is big, strong and quick. Better than Dicko. similiar but could probably play with him if we went 4-4-2.

In summary-yes please.

27 Jul 2017 13:00:06
Good shout! I like him he's not the pain in the arse he used to be. Decent player paced and know where the net is. Sign him up!

27 Jul 2017 13:50:52
Not the glamour name Edthewolf? Obviously you must be expecting us to usurp PSG for Neymar! No chance of Gray anyway. If he leaves Burnley he'll be staying in the premier league.

27 Jul 2017 14:11:21
Would love Andre Gray - heck I'd even take Andy Gray! - but he will cost a minimum £15m and his wages will be £70k per week. Also both West Ham and Newcastle have been heavily inked with him in recent days and whilst he is a Wolverhampton boy the pull of staying in the Premier League will probably be too much surely?

27 Jul 2017 14:33:38
Yes Old wolf. glamorous. As in from little old Burnley and not Porto or Athletico Madrid. not glamorous as in English and born in Wolverhampton!

27 Jul 2017 14:37:11
I would say the chances of us playing 442 are about the same as us signing Andy Gray.

27 Jul 2017 16:17:14
What source is this from and if he is about to sign when will he be announced.

27 Jul 2017 17:05:45
It's a load of codswallop! The poster has back tracked already!

27 Jul 2017 18:00:49
He won't drop down a league. End of.

28 Jul 2017 06:31:14
"Just been told still six months contract left"

Hilarious. So he is out of contract in December then?

Why do people just make things up?

You read the links on the net like everybody else then try and pretend you are ITK.

Attention seeking.

27 Jul 2017 11:36:55
A few people on Mol Mix have said that we have enquired about Charlie Austin and would cost anywhere between £7-10m.
Not saying its true but that its just rumours from the mix. I personally would be happy with him.

27 Jul 2017 11:58:19
No chance, he's a starter for Southampton.

27 Jul 2017 12:08:45
Would love Charlie Austin he's perfect for our link up play and obvious goal scoring attributes. We need this type of front man.

27 Jul 2017 12:37:23
Niall Ennis will ensure Shrewsbury win League One title. At 66-1 a brilliant bet. Team plays with aggression, yet have great young talent: Henderson, James - now Ennis. Niall Ennis is the best young talent out of Molineux since Robbie Keane.

27 Jul 2017 14:23:09
Charlie Austin is someone we don't want associated with this club, he bottled a guy at my local race course when he was playing for Hungerford and his old man paid the guy not to press charges. He's a foul individual who would only cause trouble in the changing room.
