Lost 3-2 in a game we deserved to draw, against a team that finished 7th in La Liga. I will more than take that.

Many positives to be taken and not very many negatives. Only one that really springs to mind is that David Davis did appear to be marking himself at times.

Other than that minor niggle, more than happy, and now really looking forward to this coming season. Trip to Wembley is beckoning

I liked him in the first half though. Batth looked brilliant throughout and Leigh's goal was class, great control. Rickets looked poor I think, that winger got him a few to many times. Good performance over all, despite Sako getting greedy. Only concern is that Leigh is our only out and out striker

Griffiths will get 30 plus goals for us this season as long as he stays fit. We played some decent stuff, there were a few lapses that allowed them a couple of goals but on the whole not a bad performance. I'd like to see a regular partner for Griffiths and I still don't understand why Edwards has a first team place? I like the look of Evans and Price they will be plusses this season. Paul Tamworth

Yes, Ricketts initiated the poor 3rd goal for Betis (for which the back 4 as a whole were culpable) but on the whole I thought that I saw a cohesive performance. every player I saw today was playing with purpose. Special big up for Dave Edwards (yes, really), Lee Evans, Stears, Batth, Leigh Griffiths (keep your nose clean) and special mention for Jack Price - on for a short time but full of potential. Looking forward to South Bank banter this season. COYW

I'm pleased with the result, considering two facts 1- betis finished 7th in la liga and we are a league one club. 2 - real Betis scored more against Bolton & Huddersfield. Bring on the new season.

Deluded-the Betis team was their second string. Wolves lacked pace, lumped too many high balls to Sigurdarsson, gave the ball away too often and yet again couldn't defend. same old. same old

^^Nice and positive post there!

Also, not very accurate. A quick google of the side that ran out yesterday will show you that 9 of that team are Betis first team regulars.

Two defensive mistakes cost us the win, and Davis spent a lot of the time marking an empty space. But overall, we played forward, and attacking.
