Wolves are interested in Jake Bidwell to replace Elokobi at the end of the season. Elokobi has already been told he will not be offered a new contract.

Yet George is often on the bench and sometimes makes an appearance. I would not be surprised if Wolves let him go, though.

Foley gone to blackpool on 1 month loan 27/2 14 says e/s

George is out of contract at the end of the season. As much as I like him, he has no business playing in a footballing side like the one we're putting together.

Poor George. He's done nothing wrong, and he's been injured for much of the last two years. But we wouldn't sign George now from another club so it's probably right that we don't give him a new contract.

Give Ward to mick at Ipswich and if we go up, get Aaron crewel for a swap plus cash deal, since wardy and mick love each other, mick couldn't deny the offer, could he?

Mick has kept Ipswich in the Championship with players that got us relegated. It's worth getting promoted just to welcome them all back to Moleneux again!

I can't wait to see us beat that hoof ball dross either. COYW

Yes great idea let's get Mick back the worst managerial record in top flight history, now that's the way forward!

Personally I think he deserves a little more respect. We were rubbish when he came here, he turned us into a decent side that reached the EPL. We had a few good years. He may have stayed a little to long, but an honest guy who should be remembered for the good.

Mick deserves nothing. He got us nowhere in the Prem, apart from relegated of course. 5-1 at home? Remember that?

Yes I do remember it - I was there. Your right he he didn't get us anywhere in the premier league other than getting us there in the first place and keeping us there for a couple of seasons, more than 5 or 6 others did.

I think some people need to remember Mick won the Championship with us, kept us up twice, then got the sack. He didn't get us relegated, the board did by panicking after that 5-1 defeat and messing the whole thing up.

I for one will always be grateful for what Mick did with us. Yes his time was probably up, but don't slate the guy who achieved more for us all the managers put together did on the previous 20 years (Dave Jones won the play offs)

We had won once in 3 months under Mick. We were already relegated by the time he got the sack. I agree I am grateful to Mick for getting us promoted but not for the utter contempt he regarded the fans.

It's Micks fault we are in League one his crap players got us there! He spent over 70m+ and the only half decent players were Jarvis and Fletcher!

Mick won 16 games out of 63 before his "untimely" sacking. If you think that's acceptable I suggest you take your football watching business down the Hawthorns.

Micks crap players won the championship with ease

Why is everyone slating mick have we not moved on?

I don't think anyone here is saying we shoudn't have got rid of Mick when we did. All people are saying, and I agree, is that he deserves respect for what he did achieve.

As a 23-year-old fan, the only good times I've ever really had as a fan were under Mick and I will give him a warm welcome. The contempt he held the fanc in towards the end of hid time was because of how he was being treated. He deserved better then and I hope we grow up and don't lay into him when our paths do cross again.

Agreed Callum. We a few good seasons with Mick and just one bad season, and that's why we let him go. Maybe we should have let him go earlier, who knows. It's not like the replacements were any better, till now that is.

We have short memories about the players too. Kevin Foley was one of our best players when we got promoted even though he can't now make a League 1 team. It's too simple to say Mick signed dross. That was a good side.

If we were going to let go of McCarthy we should have done so before the January window and also what you have to realize in that last championship was that solbakken wasn't given enough time or resources to change the style of play and Saunders was an person.

They spelt his name wrong, they used M instead of PR

Solbakken changed our style. 50 sideways passes 1 shot at goal. It was pure c@-p.

What you have to realize is that solbakken was promised 3 windows to sell players that couldn't play the passing style (ie: k.henry, ward etc) and buy in more footballers.
He was given one window and then sacked, with him we definitely would not have been relegated.

Have you noticed that KJ has said all of the same things STS said about changing the players? Needing more than 1 transfer window to do that?

KJ has done it in two.

He has but the point still stands. Solbakken said he needed to do all of the same things KJ did. The fans didn't believe it and we got lumbered with Downo.

Stale's initial signings cost us millions and we probably couldn't afford another transfer window like that to turn us around so Deano came in to manage his squad instead and with no more signings. That was so stupid. How could he do better with Stale's squad than Stale?

KJ said an interesting thing today - we pass to score goals and win games, not pass for vanity. Under Solbakken I feel it was the latter.

Jackett has rebuilt the club for less than the cost of boukari who didn't kick a ball in anger for us, rediculous comparison.thelwells appointment of jackett wherever it takes us was 100 per cent the right appointment, as was the appointment of Bruce and he was offered the job, I can confirm, but that's the past jackett is the future, and for all the lost souls plying their trade across Europe and in the uk hope we can recoup enough dosh to give KJ a sizeable transfer kitty for phase 2 of the revolution.the realist.

Boukari did look okay in the couple of games he played for us. It's not his fault a dirty sod decided to tackle him from behind.

09 Mar 2014 22:45:26
Boukari could well play for us again, next season.

Move along. We are top of the league, best defensive record of the entre league setup, looking like dead cert to get promotion this season.

. And folk are still squabbling about Mick McCarthy and Stale Solbakken
