The Independent this morning is saying that Wolves offered the job to Steve Bruce on Thursday morning. His lawyers were drawing up the contract, then MnM changed their minds on Thursday evening. If they made a verbal contract with Bruce he can now sue Wolves if he wishes to.

Verbal contract is not worth the paper it is written on.

Can we please stop this! It's over - we have a manager, support him.

Only legal if you can prove it-i.e if there were witnesses

If a contract is not signed, it is not legal and binding. Bruce just wants some more money to get his fat head some more pasties and balti pies. Or the journo wants a promotion

Wolves now admitting that one other manager was offered the job before Connor.

Woo Woo,you got a point,you,ll still go down with wigan and blackburn,

Betting agrees with you. But not as much as before Saturday. Very similar odds to Bolton, Blackburn and QPR now. Which is unfair to Wigan really!

Ed do you think wolves will still get Wilkins? {Ed001's Note - no, maybe at the end of the season, but not for the next few games I don't. Though he is the kind of guy who loves to be involved in coaching, so you never know.}

We already have Bob the builder, The Fat Controller and Top Cat any other out of work cartoon characters available. Oh I forgot the early bird and Mr Morgan has the nerve to say we are not an embarrassment, I just hope for a swift end to our season.

Not to mention the clowns who post on here - insider and chauffeur join the team!

Guess the person who disagreed with that is 'insider' - chauffeur obviously driving!

I thought Terry Connor did very well for his first game. Maybe some of you should shut up moaning and give him some support

Pleased for terry connor we must get behind team i felt curbishly could have been another glenn hoddle important to give t c full support

When Steve McLaren's name came up I was thinking "another Hoddle". Curbs would have been good unless he walked out on us (get out clause on relegation). The more I think about this the more I think the TC appointment is actually quite good. No top manager would want to stay with us if we went down, and let's face it no top manager can really save us any more than TC can this late in the season.
