My wife got a text from a friend who works at Molinuex. steve bruce to be announced Monday. hope they're wrong and we get guss hidink.

22 Jul 2016 22:54:30
Could well be Bruce as Sunderland fans are sayin were linked with Connor Wickham.

22 Jul 2016 23:32:39
Heard a rumour that mick mcarthy might be coming back.

23 Jul 2016 00:06:06
Nonsense.

23 Jul 2016 00:41:51
Listen to me lads its glenn hoddle and gazza as assistant.

23 Jul 2016 01:09:47
OMG please do not let this happen.

23 Jul 2016 01:20:54
As things stand Fosun, who have links to 'super agent' Jorge Mendes (with him set to be key to Wolves' recruitment), are going to retain Kenny Jackett as Head Coach.

23 Jul 2016 01:51:23
according to vital wolves site.

23 Jul 2016 03:58:06
May as well of left morgan as owner. if that's how high they are aiming. steve bruce. laughable. thought these new owners had ambition.3 years they will sell.

23 Jul 2016 05:55:48
If Bruce comes wolves we going be going for unspectacular targets like Chris woods ( again) for starters I agree with others on here need few players that got idea what championship is about but we got be aiming higher standard than have been and just don't see us doing that with Bruce - yes he spent £ at hull but didn't exactly buy anyone who u could say made big impact or put bums on seats at hull also the guy had no charisma he like brown paper bag - boring- same as Martinez - we need set sights higher not saying a klopp or conte but someone that going excite not just team but fans aswell someone who's first thought is not let's play for a draw at best but let's win games and win games with bit of style
Not sure who this type manager is but please pls let's not settle for typical type manager we bound get linked too - Bruce Martinez ince cutbishley etc etc.

23 Jul 2016 08:15:54
Moyes going 2 sunderland.

23 Jul 2016 08:18:05
FFS You guys are hard to please.

With people like you as fans who needs rivals.

23 Jul 2016 08:41:12
I've heard that Mancini is going to be announced as manager by the end of next week. All being well, this will actually happen and no one will know that I just made it up!

23 Jul 2016 08:41:34
Don't mention Giggs for Wolves, he's odds on the next Wigan manager. Moyse is also in a Sunderland, basically leaving us old 'two cakes' Bruce.

I still think the new owners will go overseas, however, due to our link with Mendes. Martinez is the only available manager which would work in this instance.

23 Jul 2016 08:52:33
Do you not feel the manager we need to get us to the premier league may not be the manager we keep in the Premier league.

23 Jul 2016 08:55:21
I'm loving the people saying we need to aim higher then Bruce and Martinez etc. in the long run yeah but you seem to forget we are currently a championship team with a thread bare squad so I think your champions league aims for this season may well be too ambitious. Our first goal is to get out this league if we appoint someone to do that we aren't stuck with them forever you know. Look at Watford they went up and still sacked their manager. Think we need to walk before we can run.

23 Jul 2016 09:04:01
Before Everton, Martinez's record with Swansea and Wigan were second to none. In the championship I can see him doing an excellent job and, like I said, the fact he's European will help a lot with the new owners.

{Ed001's Note - Steve Bruce had Wigan consistently midtable, then Martinez came in and they were in a relegation battle every year. Not sure why he is so highly rated, he is not a good manager.}

23 Jul 2016 09:11:02
Well said Sbrek.

And Bruce has done it so many times.

23 Jul 2016 09:12:24
whatever. Steve Bruce instead, then.

{Ed001's Note - I was just pointing out, everyone is so anti-Bruce, yet he is clearly a much better manager than Bobby Martinez. Neither are going to take the club to the top level though.}

23 Jul 2016 09:20:39
Will you stop calling him 'Bobby Martinez'? You make him sound like a Butlins DJ.

{Ed001's Note - he would probably be a better Butlins DJ, as his only real quality in management is being a nice guy.}

23 Jul 2016 09:25:39
(or somebody from Dallas)

23 Jul 2016 09:31:57
I thought editors were supposed not to have any views? . you would normally get sacked for some of your comments on here!

{Ed001's Note - you think? I wouldn't have known that if you hadn't said..... ;-)

23 Jul 2016 09:33:26
Lol thanks for adding the facts Ed001.

Hopefully that will help the deluded side of the wolves fans see more clearly.

23 Jul 2016 09:34:03
The earlier posters on here are right, by the way, Wolves are talking to both Martinez and Bruce this weekend.

23 Jul 2016 09:34:24
Give Steve Bruce a go. He is a promotion specialist. Horses for courses. He also has brownie points with Man U for loan players. Mendes resresents Mourinho, again brownie points with MU and also internationally.

We could hire a fancy Spanish coach but what would he know of the championship? Speedy Gonzales might come unstuck. Different in the PL. if Bruce takes us there, pay him off handsomely and then become more ambitious. Let's walk before we learn to run.

The new owners have talked well of our history, academy and community. They have a stake in Thomas Cook. What about Thomas Cook branding on our shirts? Don't just book it, Thomas Cook it.

23 Jul 2016 09:42:21
Our history is to appoint ex England managers a la Graham Taylor, Glenn Hoddle how about Roy Hodgson?

23 Jul 2016 10:01:39
Anyone read the report on sky talking to lopetegui and him not only admitting that it was Wolves he was coming to but also Robin Li is the main man behind the takeover with Fosun. Very interesting.

23 Jul 2016 10:06:36
Well the new spain coach says robin li is the main man behind the new owners of the wolves. interesting indeed.

23 Jul 2016 10:10:54
Demon I thought you said that Li bid £41 mil and Morgan chose the wrong owner in Fosun?

23 Jul 2016 10:24:23
So robin li is involved.

23 Jul 2016 10:30:02
I presume that Robin Li, Ding Lei and GG all know eachother (being of similar age/ wealth and establishments) and talked amongst themselves about taking Wolves over. So basically it doesn't matter one jot which one 'officially' owned us, as it's all just the same. This is my own conclusion, anyway.

Morgan didn't choose an owner, the Chinese sorted it out amongst themselves.

23 Jul 2016 10:35:49
But why would Li, a multi billionaire, effectively hide behind another consortium? Don't get it.

23 Jul 2016 10:59:24
I'm probably being thick here but can we make signings now or do we have to wait until the press conference has happened?

23 Jul 2016 11:46:00
Laudrup anyone?

23 Jul 2016 11:55:30
Just seen carlton Palmer leaving the molineux with a grin on his face like he just landed a job! He have us 2 divisions below the conference in no time!

23 Jul 2016 12:08:21
I just read that Baidu (Robin Li) and Fosum (G. G) have both been looking together for new business ventures within India and the U. K. They have been working very closely together as Fosum are try and get more into the Internet/ smart phones/ communications sector. Baidu are already a search engine group, like Google.

I have absolutely no evidence for this, but maybe the two are going to merge in the near future? Or, alternatively, Fosun will pass Wolves onto Baidu and Mr Li after the two year agreement? Like I said, it's guess work.

23 Jul 2016 12:11:57
Who said he's hiding. they are only a investment company. read sky sports interview and make ir own minds up.

23 Jul 2016 12:20:56
Oh darbo if robin li is the main man. Behind fosun then I am glad I called that wrong. but bloody bruce. so so funny. club has to have high ambitions. and he aint.

23 Jul 2016 12:42:01
Don't be surprised if Robin Li turned down the chance of owning WBA in favour for us. Wolves are seen as having a far bigger long term potential.

23 Jul 2016 17:26:28
What's going on looks like jackett is staying his got to go.

23 Jul 2016 19:30:59
Wavidsmith - your line 'Morgan didn't sell the club, the Chinese sorted it out amongst themselves' is highly perceptive. Whereas in the West big corporations are reluctant to partner, the China growth model is much more collaborative, happier to partner. We can't get our heads around the partnership because it's not the norm, but that's how these boys operate.

We are hugely privileged to have both companies backing this.

22 Jul 2016 21:36:40
Just heard the club are in talks with Martinez?
Not sure how true it is but the guy who mentioned this knows people who work at Compton park on the coaching staff.

22 Jul 2016 21:58:44
I am very good friends with Danny Batth's uncle and the 1st team physios brother and believe me they were unaware of who was taking over and they have no idea about who is going to be the new manager.

22 Jul 2016 22:00:08
So Jackett to go over weekend then.

22 Jul 2016 22:03:57
Probably his level, the Championship. Definitely an upgrade from Kenny but a lot of fans won't like Martinez's style.

22 Jul 2016 22:42:54
What style's this? Bad season last year, loved for virtually the rest of his career. passing football, movement. He was propped up as one of the new bright things at Swansea and Wigan with his style of play. crap defensively but if they took their chances Everton would have won a lot more.

22 Jul 2016 22:43:57
wavidsmith who wouldn't like Martinez's style on here? Yes at Everton he was a little negligent of the defence. But Everton and Wigan played expansive, attacking football.

23 Jul 2016 00:07:37
Is Jackett DEFINITELY going then? I've seen very little about it other than the express and star's story and daily express's guesswork. virtually no one else has said he'll be sacked. I'm still not certain he will be. I can't bear another year of Saville left wing : (

23 Jul 2016 07:48:22
I was just talking about Martinez making a mess of Stone's defensive career. Listen to Jason Cundy on Talksport and you will see what I mean. I personally don't think he's that bad.

23 Jul 2016 08:48:54
I couldn't stand another year of Saville!

23 Jul 2016 09:06:53
Saville is an awful player, truly dreadful. But you could almost say the same about Batth, EEL, Evans, Edwards, Coady, Byrne and Henry. Makes you realise how poor Jackett is as a manager.

23 Jul 2016 10:20:53
If Martinez is so bad, how come he was effectively headhunted by Everton and won the FA cup with Wigan with no money?

{Ed001's Note - Everton made a mistake. Winning a cup is not the true test of a manager's ability, not in these days of top sides fielding weaker teams most of the way through.}

23 Jul 2016 10:59:08
Mendes and co should forget Martinez and approach Andre Villas-Boas.

22 Jul 2016 17:22:18
Kmac gone to fulham 1.25m.

22 Jul 2016 17:46:39
Jez Moxey has agreed the £10m purchase of Ross McCormack from Fulham, . to Norwich City.

22 Jul 2016 18:09:52
Norwich are favourites for McCormack with Villa trying to hijack the deal.

22 Jul 2016 18:09:59
THANK **** FOR THAT!
Now hopefully we can get rid of all the other dross and bring in some players who can cut it in this division.

22 Jul 2016 18:10:11
With k-Mac gone does this mean jackett stays.

22 Jul 2016 18:10:27
we don't get mccormack.

22 Jul 2016 19:30:19
K mac our best midfielder but best of luck to him hope you do well at fulham.

22 Jul 2016 20:44:14
He's gone now who cares.

22 Jul 2016 20:57:55
Never mind, we've still got Evans, Coady, Saville, Price and Edwards! 5 midfielders for 2 slots (for all those saying we're thin on the ground)!

The real question is, why didn't he sell one of those instead?

22 Jul 2016 20:58:50
I don't he's a lazy git that sprayed the odd good pass but he was maybe our best midfielder but saying that who are we comparing him with really.

22 Jul 2016 21:30:52
Evans, price, coady, edwards and saville am not even champ class belong in league one they can't control a game to save their lives I thought henry was bad enough when he was there but i'd have him over any of them any day.

22 Jul 2016 22:45:45
Our squad at present is totally unbalanced. We've got 5 central midfielders, 3 right wingers and only one striker. A right back usually playing left back, etc etc. Like you say, see what Monday brings, but we need players, and quick.

22 Jul 2016 23:24:27
Saville is one of the worst players I have ever seen at the mol.

23 Jul 2016 07:46:42
I liked Kmac but seems the clear out has begun. many more more to follow him and Moxey out the door.

23 Jul 2016 08:21:35
We have 2 strikers already (Mason, Eno) and Dicko to come back, so don't see this as a problem. We have 3 wingers in Henry, Byrne and Wallace (with Graham to come back soon) who can switch flanks. We also have a bevy of youngsters coming through who could all handle being thrown in, if needs be.

The only problem I can see immediately is the Williamson issue and could do with another left centre back. Saying we are thin on the ground is a load of nonsense - your starting to sound like Jackett.

23 Jul 2016 08:33:06
If you want promotion for a realistic price, you need Rhodes or McCormack, Sako, Dunk, Butterfield and Barton or similar. Added to Dicko, Graham, Doc and Iorfa, this would probably work. You don't actually need to spend more than £30 million.

All a new manager would have to do next is clear out Saville, Evans, Edwards, Coady, Mason, Wallace, Byrne, Henry, Deslandes, Williamson and EEL for £10 million.

Best man for the job? Mick McCarthy.
That simple.

23 Jul 2016 08:39:29
And you really think that lot will get us up? Come on! Some of the football last year was the worst I've ever seen. If that's our plan we're in trouble.

23 Jul 2016 08:53:03
I agree that our lot right now wouldn't get us promotion in a million years. Maybe relegation, tho.

23 Jul 2016 09:17:39
wavidsmith. Big Mick shouldn't even be a contender.

I would actually like Martinez or Bruce mainly because they have a good experience in getting teams to glory and staying within glory.

What we need is about 6 good signings and hopefully the McDonald money will join the massive money pot we have for spending.

I really don't want McCormack, or Rhodes. I would rather have Calverio. Who is most likely to leave after falling out with the manger at Ac Monaco.

Mendes also heavily rates him, he would be the right Striker/ Winger for the job. Imagine a better sako up front.

23 Jul 2016 11:20:59
There is no reason we can't bring all those mentioned before - Cavaliero, Pele, Costa, Ely, Carvalho Silver etc.

23 Jul 2016 16:35:19
Mende rates him - he's his agent. Its his job to big him up to get the best price. Not sure how that works if selling to yourself!

22 Jul 2016 17:21:35
Reported Macdonald gone Fulham 1.25 mil.

22 Jul 2016 17:39:26
Wouldn't be disappointed at all by that providing the quality starts arriving soon (which I think it will) in my opinion he's been a slightly above average player for us in a very average team.

22 Jul 2016 17:57:06
we get mccormack.

22 Jul 2016 19:17:17
Love everyone saying they are glad kmac has gone. At the end of the day we are now down to 14 fit players! Roll on Rotherham with a decimated squad that can't compete.

22 Jul 2016 19:29:52
McCormack is a Telly Tubby.

22 Jul 2016 21:34:22
Why does everyone think that a player from Portugal who probably can't speak the language, arriving 2 weeks before the season starts is going to be an instant success? This infatuation with all things foreign just amazes me. This is the Championship! Ticky-tacky footballers will get pumelled if they're not ready for it. Be better off looking at proven home grown tallent. And all this talk about not letting them know we've got money because the price will go up - it deffinately will now they now we've only got 14 fit players with 2 weeks to go.

22 Jul 2016 21:35:22
A telly tubby who scores nearly 20goals in a struggling team. We'll have la-la as well.

22 Jul 2016 22:01:01
Charle Adam would be a good fit for us, what do you lot think?

23 Jul 2016 09:21:21
I would prefer someone like King from Leicester as he's younger and is in my opinion done much better than Adam all season. WDYT?

23 Jul 2016 13:54:55
Martinez me deffo, however Bruce can get a team out of this league!

22 Jul 2016 17:14:04
Wolves and Liverpool target talisca is going to . Liverpool fee agreed
Still we can keep dreaming.

22 Jul 2016 17:39:56
Did you really expect us to sign someone who played champions league football last season? Especially over Liverpool?

22 Jul 2016 18:11:09
relax, the spending hasn't started yet.

22 Jul 2016 20:31:29
It better start soon or i'll have to take me boots!

23 Jul 2016 08:16:19
I think some folks are going to be disappointed with the amount and size of the transfer fees that Fosun are likely to make, certainly initially.

I firmly believe that thereally WAS a first consortium / buyer - namely Robin Li, and had he been successful in buying the club then the money would have been banded around. He was more seriously affiliated with Mendez, and was the reason behind us being linked with all sorts of players.

It is no coincidence that Lopetegui confirmed his decision to take the Spain job happened at virtually the same time as Fosun was announced as the new owners. He HAD agreed to join Wolves under Li but NOT under Fosun.

Fosun will spend money BUT not on the Grand scale that some are imagining or expecting.

23 Jul 2016 11:00:40
Grouchy you're talking absolute rubbish, you need to do your research mate, Fosun own a percentage of Jorge Mendes's company

Also the new Spain boss has given an explanation to SKY on why he chose his National Team over us and he says that Robin Li is the main man behind our takeover.

22 Jul 2016 14:08:56
Steve Bruce about to quit Hull. next stop Molineux?

22 jul 2016 14:18:11
in the words of the immortal sir frankie howard
nay, nay, and thrice nay!
not bloody likely.

22 Jul 2016 14:22:45
Been there and done it! A yes from me.

22 Jul 2016 14:23:00
what rubbish.

22 Jul 2016 14:24:03
Please Nooooooooooooo!
I would rather watch paint dry than a Steve Bruce team. Big statement this but I reckon Kenny would be better than Steve.

22 Jul 2016 14:25:12
Yep, definitely.

22 Jul 2016 14:27:11
Do those fans who objected to him last time want him? I think he'd be ideal for us.

22 Jul 2016 14:29:51
Good shout. I'm sure he could put up with JM for 3 months.

22 Jul 2016 14:30:13
Not a chance Bruce will be Sunderland bound if he leaves Hull.

22 jul 2016 14:35:33
moyes has taken sunderland job-----harry redknapp please.

22 Jul 2016 14:35:55
I don't think they'd have him back at Sunderland. I think go for him and get out at the first attempt even bring in Giggs as his assistant.

22 Jul 2016 14:36:55
I'd imagine Kmac would be a part of the deal. Bruce was ran out of Sunderland due ti him being a Newcastle United fan.

22 Jul 2016 14:38:11
Bruce taking Alladyce's job at Sunderland. Wolves getting Moyes, written in the stars.

Rustic Peg.

22 Jul 2016 14:39:50
Just on the Beeb sport website : Bruce has left Hull. Check it for yourself.

22 Jul 2016 14:40:52
harry redknapp?

22 Jul 2016 14:52:48
Wash your mouth out Myke! Keep Harry Redknapp well away from this Club!

22 Jul 2016 15:13:29
If Steve Bruce had been hired in 2012 our recent past would have been so different. The fans rejected him with a third of the season still to go and us only hovering on the relegation zone. Remember?

Steve Bruce for me. Anyway, Moyes has gone to Sundreland.

22 Jul 2016 15:29:59
Harry ****ing rednapp? No thank you. Steve Bruce wouldn't be the worst appointment but it's hardly inspiring and we should be aiming higher.

22 Jul 2016 15:53:45
Steve Bruce is very uninspiring. No thank you.

22 Jul 2016 16:06:52
For Christ sake can people get this right. Steve Bruce was NOT rejected by the fans. The opinion poll in the E and S was between Bruce and Curbishley. Most fans went for Curbishley. If the poll had been Bruce or Connor most fans would have gone for Bruce.
Bruce is a manager who will get a team up and has a reasonable record of keeping them there - just.
With new wealthy owners should we not be sending s message of ambition and going for someone who we can all get excited about?
The last thing we need is a boss who divides the fans. Pellegrini would be massive if he could be pursueded to come!

22 Jul 2016 16:13:00
Personally, i'd like to see Mr Potatohead in charge.

22 Jul 2016 16:21:42
Did I just see right? Harry redknapp!? Do you want our club run into the ground having pensioners having a last day day at the wolves!? Come on be real! Martinez for me. Experience in english football and has an eye for talent.

22 Jul 2016 16:24:45
If we go for an English manager then who best but the person who come runner up for the England job.

Out of all your suggestions so far

1 Redknapp. Mr transfer then leave
2 Moyes Mr never played any type of attractive football even with Orem champions at his disposal.
3 Martinez is another Jackett he rotates too much and never knows his strongest side.

If we go foreign then Flores is a good shout.

But tbh I think we will appoint someone none of us expected.

22 Jul 2016 16:29:30
Tommy1977. Didn't some fans sign a petition against Steve Bruce becoming manager hence why the offer of the managers job was withdrawn by Morgan.

22 Jul 2016 16:33:55
Prefer monkeys head.

22 Jul 2016 17:24:40
We all dreamed the last few weeks. money to burn manager set to come in with big signings and the world was our oyster. booooom it went crashing the new owners want to invest 20to 30 mill over 2 years and now people are arguing over steve bruce. oh how high we are aiming.

22 Jul 2016 17:33:44
I think there are plenty of decent managers out there.

Michael Laudrup anyone?

22 Jul 2016 17:51:38
Bruce's timing suggests it's us or Sunderland.

22 Jul 2016 18:01:09
Id have bruce over most managers atm just because he knows how to get out this league plus 20-30 mil over 2 years is not bad at all compared to the last 3 seasons where we wasted money last season on mason afobe was a good signing but that was 2 mil and sako before that but over the past 3 years we have spe t about 3 mil on average so he willing to put more in that we have for years.

22 Jul 2016 18:16:46
For me it would be Frank De Boer assisted by Denis Bergkamp. Total football at Molineux. We need to adjust our thinking to a higher level and that starts with the manager/ coach.

22 Jul 2016 18:33:03
Steve Bruce are we going bloody crazy on here or what?

Do you really think that the new owners who are worth over £10b in total are only going to be spending only £20-£30m in 2 years? Be bloody quiet and stop chatting on here if you are saying that total utter crap.

Some of you are getting on my damn nerves, are you really Wolves fans or are ya the few of those mugs from up the road that can read and write and got no friends.

Morgan has just made the £20-£30m a part of the deal but the the new owner will not be doing a Morgan and buying bargain basement players, especially with Pie Muncher out of the picture.

We now have the 4th richest owner in England (Errrrmmm that makes us the 4th richest club in the country, that's just Guangchangs money not including The Fosun company as a whole) and some of you just can not bring yourselves to feel happy, relaxed and excited about the situation that we find ourselves in.

We don't want Bruce or Coffin dodger Rednknapp or anyone else even mentioned before regarding the Wolves managers job in the past.

From who we know Martinez, Flores, Hiddink would be OK but I'm sure it will be someone that the new owners have either heard of or will trust to manage the millions of pounds worth of players they are going to purchase.

Whoever we get or even of its KJ still as manager I'm sure we are going to improve on last seasons rubbish so how about we all cheer the f up a little and someone try and find some solid rumours to mull over.

22 Jul 2016 19:01:45
Flores and especially hiddink are not going to drop down to the championship.

22 Jul 2016 19:41:06
Flores is the newly appointed manager of Espanyol.

22 Jul 2016 21:03:07
Money talks look where Rafa Benetez is.

22 Jul 2016 21:03:41
I didn't want Flores anyway but he would have been a decent choice if available.

22 Jul 2016 21:21:06
Goldfinger, we do not have the 4th richest owner. Debt ridden Fosun own us not their chairman and I doubt very much whether he will be putting his own money in. The calculation of his worth is based on his Fosun shareholding, shares which have fallen markedly in value over the last year or so. Also it needs to be borne in mind that Fosun have been going through a buying spree over the last year so their money is going to be spread around. All this does not mean they won't invest but we should not be thinking that they have loads of cash to splash. Splash what there is on Danny Ings to start methinks.

22 Jul 2016 21:50:23
God you lot need a reality check

Fan power cost us getting Bruce because of his Birmingham connections

What happened he gets a team promoted and we go down

Oh hang on Bully was at West Brom first but he became God, that's ok when it suits

Bruce has a proven track record of gaining promotion

Sign him up get promoted here ends the lecture.

22 Jul 2016 22:24:01
I have.

22 Jul 2016 23:41:57
MBBB what the hell are you talking about Guangchang is the bloody owner along with his buddies at Fosun

What are you banging on about matey

How are Fosun debt ridden?

Ok I give up on here - what a fing joke

Talking while getting t-bagged by a Baggie.

23 Jul 2016 06:54:49
Giggs.

23 Jul 2016 11:58:06
Goldfinger matey, Guangchang isn't the owner just like any chairman of a company isn't the owner of the company's assets. If you don't get that then I give up too.
Fosun is debt ridden because all their acquisitions are bought on the tick and they were barred earlier this year from acquiring an Israeli insurance company because they had overstretched themselves (the Wall Street Journal, available on the Web, has details) . In my opinion Chinese companies/ individuals are receiving their government's backing to acquire football clubs which is one reason why normal financial controls were overlooked on this occasion. On the plus side the Fosun chairman is clearly very ambitious and will strive to make their acquisitions successful. So fingers very firmly crossed.

23 Jul 2016 17:31:09
That's why Fosun were ratified by the Football League and allowed to buy a business in this country? Does that sound right!?

Fosun was formed by 5 university mates which included Guangchang - he was one of the 5, they might all have different titles within their company but he's still classed as a bloody owner so just stop being bloody stubborn- you're wrong on both counts

All I know is we couldn't beat a crap Port Vale team so let's sack the manager and the whole first team except Dicko and let's talk about the new management and squad we need to find.

23 Jul 2016 17:32:25
DAS made a great suggestion of Frank De Boer and Bergkamp, I'd take them defo.

23 Jul 2016 17:39:56
My top 5 picks for manager:

1: Guus Hiddink
2: Andre Villas-Boas
3: Frank De Boer (Bergkamp no.2)
4: Roberto Martinez
5: Steve Bruce.

23 Jul 2016 18:46:45
You seem to have got the wrong end of the stick. I'm not saying Fosun are dodgy Golders, just that they are not as cash rich as people seem to think they are. If you don't believe me then check out the Wall Street Journal for a start. Their owners are their shareholders not the founders and you and I could even become shareholders and therefore "owners ".

22 Jul 2016 12:29:30
Well it's started and the rumours on Twitter we enquirer about Ross McCormack this morning. But as we all know we will be associated with every man and his dog from now on. All we need is a manager!

22 Jul 2016 13:56:16
Just reading and seems Bruce has been called in for talks about his future with Hull. What does everyone think about Bruce being in charge at Molineux next season? or even Ryan Giggs?

22 Jul 2016 14:01:37
Don't want giggs he has no experience wouldn't mind Steve Bruce.

22 Jul 2016 14:04:21
Bruce yes, Giggs no. Has never managed on his own before, let alone at this level. Not the right man at this time, he needs more experience.

22 Jul 2016 14:12:00
Hopefully the fans won't cock it up for him like when we tried to get him before when mick left.

22 Jul 2016 14:29:31
We were close to Bruce at the end of the Macarthy era. Shame we didn't get him then.

22 Jul 2016 14:35:58
Stuart pearce for me I think or bruce both got connections to other big teams and pearce knows more about the youth that's knocking about so could get some good young and hungry players in.

22 Jul 2016 14:46:28
redknapp?

22 Jul 2016 15:10:50
Pearce? Please God! no!

22 Jul 2016 17:27:21
And it will be mendez who picks the new manager.

22 Jul 2016 18:35:47
Pearce, Redknapp, Bruce lmao stop it for crying out loud.

22 Jul 2016 05:15:57
Ex Brighton manager Oscar Garcia being lined up for Wolves job. He is currently in charge of Red Bull Salzburg.

22 Jul 2016 06:17:49
We can all speculate. I'm disappointed we haven't got Lopetugui but if a top international coach is unveiled on Monday not only will it be a statement of intent by our new owners but also show that strings can be pulled and that our club can now attract top talent from around the world! I for one can't wait'

22 Jul 2016 06:21:48
There are scores of Chinese undergoing coach training around the country so could be one of those.

22 Jul 2016 07:04:59
Martinez is still available.

22 Jul 2016 07:34:30
Lopetegui - 'I had an agreement with Wolves'. So, basically, he was going to come in under the Fosun group after all - what a complete and utter nob end. Thanks for leaving us and the new owner in this state.

We are better off without that little weasel, tbh.

22 Jul 2016 07:48:37
I don't blame him tbf just because if most of us was put in that position to either choose spain or wolves then spain would be the better option in a sense probably more money aswell.

22 Jul 2016 07:49:45
Wavidsmith you can't criticise a man for wanting to manage his country. I wish him well. I'm sure plan B will be just as exciting so let's rally round the new owners and support our great club and the way forward.

22 Jul 2016 07:49:47
Get martinez in he's actually won some thing.

22 Jul 2016 07:59:16
I would love to see avb he is available.

22 Jul 2016 08:05:36
Everything is still all speculation, The thing we have all forgotten is Mendes. He was brokering the deal and has been since the story broke so it was always Fosun taking over. Morgan has shafted us to get the best deal for himself. There were NEVER multi million pound players about to sign and we may or may not get a new manager. We may get a few untried Portuguese youngsters in on loan to plug the gaps but don't expect us to do a Newcastle and actually spend big money on decent players. Moxey is going so there is a silver lining but we all got caught up in thinking we are going to be a European powerhouse overnight. We will just have to wait and see what happens but let's not hold our breath about superstar players arriving at Molineux any time soon.

22 Jul 2016 08:22:45
I really can't believe the negarivity of people on here. I really hope this isn't the majority of Wolves fans.

All I wanted was a new captain for our ship to steer us in the right direction because since Morgan put us up for sale we we're rudderless.

So for me money wasn't the issue, it's a bonus we are backed by a billionaire.

Just lighten up you grouchy gits and see what happens before your doom gloom sets in.

22 Jul 2016 08:23:03
Very positive!

22 Jul 2016 08:28:15
Pompey just chill out any investment along with a decent manager will be a massive leap from last year. The mention on million pound players were all rumours probably just made up. I for one can not wait for next season and beyond the futures bright the future old gold.

22 Jul 2016 08:33:43
I cannot see how we have been shafted at all. We have new owners with considerably more wealth than Morgan. The quoted figure of 20-30 million over 2 years is just there so selling clubs don't inflate sale prices. You cannot compair Wolves against the 3 relegated clubs give the payout they recieved from the TV money when we already know we were running at a slight deficit for last season and the coming season. If you or I was selling then we would want the best deal possible so if Morgan has made a few bob good luck to him we would do the same. As for Moxey love him or hate him he has worked under the direction of his peers for 16 years and kept us stable financially to which we should be thankful.

Clarification on what will happen going forward will become apparent on Monday I am sure.

22 Jul 2016 08:38:31
Has to be Roberto Martinez for me. Can't name a better available coach.

22 Jul 2016 08:40:05
Exactly Dot, I can't believe some of these are true Wolves fans - we have new owners that will want to do all they can to get us on to the Prem and stay there
Morgan's gone, Moxeys gone
Mendes is involved with all the connections that we have been longing for forever cause our scouting network has always been useless and there's still moaners, let's just start putting rumours in here and less if the negativity cause really there shouldn't be any right now.

22 Jul 2016 08:43:48
If we are left with Jackett for now but he has better players to work with he might actually be good like when we walked league 1

We can't judge him on last season cause that was terrible bad luck with injuries and sales

I personally would like to see Martinez come in - he knows what's required and now has a good amount of experience plus if he gets us knocking the ball about like Swansea did we will all be pretty happy I think.

22 Jul 2016 08:56:55
Oscar Garcia plays boring football. He'll get us to the play-offs, but we may as well stick with Jackett if that's all we want.

22 Jul 2016 09:00:31
Cant believe that people are bemoaning the lack of multi million pound talent not coming in after all. when all along it was only posters on here saying it was going to happen, now that their own "rumours" are not true then its all doom and gloom again. I was a little dissapointed yesterday that is wasnt Li and Lopetugi (spelt wrong, can't be arsed to look it up) but at least we have an outcome now.
Why though do we have to wait 4 more days for the press conference, surely more time wasted before the season starts.

22 Jul 2016 09:14:28
These new owners aren't going to buy a club for 30 / 40 million to waste time in the championship. There investors so there investing in wolves to get them to the premier league for the 150 million jack pot.

22 Jul 2016 09:33:22
STOP MOANING! If Abramovich had taken over and signed Ronaldo, some of you would still find something to whinge about.
We have new owners who have clearly stated that they want to establish us as a long term top Prem club
The club never mentioned Robert Li, or in fact any other prospective buyers - that was speculating journalists and 'ITK' posters
Look forward to what will hopefully become an exciting adventure and hopefully, within a couple of years, we will be watching exciting football against top sides for years to come - and maybe, just maybe, winning the odd trophy. I'd be happy with that within 5 years.

22 Jul 2016 10:00:59
This business is huge it would get into the top 100 in the uk. The Chinesse premier has demanded a foothold in football and is sending the businesses out to acquire football clubs.

They may £25 million. A day so the purchase is small change to them. They will spend what it takes and with Jorge Mendes behind then it will be huge. I think they will go for a manager recognised in China so don't be surprised with Ryan Giggs as manager! I don't know anything but these people will accept nothing less than champions league football. They cannot buy another club in England so they will invest all in the Wolves.

I would expect a new manager and at least 6 new players to come in. They may even keep Jackett involved in the short term.

All the gloom is beyond me, I would expect at least 50 million spent this season.

22 Jul 2016 10:04:41
Yes I can critise Lopetegui, he shouldn't have made a promise to start with, that simple. In my day an agreement was an agreement. Good riddance, you igotistical little twerp.

22 Jul 2016 10:10:48
Fosum not going buy us and not invest it not what they do / u don't announce to world how much u going spend u give a figure that's reasonable or players price goes sky high eg man utd vs pogba sold £800,000 buying over £100,000 cause juve know utd got £££££ and all folk moaning cause it's £20-30m over 2yrs u forgetting we never spent that over 4yrs under Morgan so quit complaining we be ok we're not broke u know.

22 Jul 2016 10:31:13
Bobby Martinez for me please; the outstanding candidate. Miraculously won an FA Cup with Wigan and was a whisker away from Champions League football with Everton. This while playing attractive, attacking football - two words that were scrapped from our vocabulary with such force last season.

Many thanks and best wishes to Kenny - what he did for this wounded great team will never be forgotten. However, as it is in the boardroom, this is a time for new ambition, new direction, new hope.

"Out of Darkness Cometh Light. "

22 Jul 2016 10:38:02
Hiddink likes a project :) Realistically though if as reported Lopetegui was going to come we should be able to attract a good manager. other managers will think well the new Spain manager was going to take it so there must be something in it!

This is Fosuns signal of intent so a quality appointment may just start us off with a bang, attract good players whether signing or on loan, big crowds, excitement and create momentum without kicking a ball.

22 Jul 2016 10:46:25
Guys just a thought, if Kenny had more money and would be allowed his own targets not Thewell in his ear, maybe he could actually do a good job.

If Calverio, Costa, Rafa, and Mane came in we could seriously go from a push.

22 Jul 2016 11:03:58
Have any of you suggesting Roberto Martinez actually seen one of his teams play? Boring football that has no end product, hence his deserved sacking from the Everton job! He had almost limitless talent to work with in that squad and still finished well below where they were aiming, whilst also playing unattractive football.

And I think you're also forgetting that when he won the FA Cup with Wigan, they got relegated that same season. I think I'd prefer getting into the peek and staying there thanks!

22 Jul 2016 11:08:00
I’ve never been convinced by Roberto Martinez. His teams do play good attacking football, but at both Wigan and Everton he inherited good solid defences to build on. During his time at both clubs he let the defences fall apart, and that was what ultimately led to Wigan being relegated and Everton finishing far below than where they should have. The Wolves defence isn’t particularly strong as it is, so that would concern me.

22 Jul 2016 11:26:50
werewolf have you seen any of his teams play? One of my good mates is an everton season ticket holder, he told me martinez plays good attacking attractive football but defensively is woeful and that's what got him the sack. Also would like to add watching some of Evertons matches last year I saw them a fair few times could have easily been 4 or 5 goals up but for woeful finishing, yet went on to draw and lose the same games. Nothing wrong with the build up. When your seeing Romelu Lukaku at the end of a great move at norwich 5 yards out with no challenge in site fluffing the chance, hows that the managers fault? His main problem with Everton was he lost the dressing room.

22 Jul 2016 11:42:29
I'm just glad the club as been sold, I think we can look forward to exciting times ahead it's what we all wanted to be owned by a Billionaire and with Jorge Mandes to be involved who is the number 1 football power agent as got to be great for our club .
Let's just get behind the club now 100 % and enjoy the ride AND STOP MOANING, because let's face it that was rubbish football last season and I quoted then would not pay to watch that football if you could of called it football under Kenny.

22 Jul 2016 11:49:34
Oh by the way don't believe u have the great owner u think. robin li offered 41 mill and morgan accepted 45 mill off the now new owners. if morgan really cared we would have had a manager and players of high quality heading to molineux now and not the cheap shit we will end up with.

22 Jul 2016 12:33:30
Demon. Your talking rubbish. No one knows apart from the buyer and Morgan what was paid. As Mr Li never actually said in public he was buying Wolves again this was all speculation. We have had cheap crap for the last 3 years so again more crap Demon. Did you think about this post before you wrote it?

22 Jul 2016 12:40:26
Demon is a WUM, don't take th bait people.

22 Jul 2016 12:40:36
And of course you would know this information because you were at the negotiating table weren't ya lmao.

22 Jul 2016 12:47:13
Rumour that former Leeds United boss Steve Evans could take the job with Rob Edwards as assistant manager due to his knowledge of the youth players.

22 Jul 2016 12:47:36
Hard to find a manager we all like as we're not going to get someone like Pep or Jose also why moan about Lopetegui imagine we lined up big Sam then the FA phoned him for England no contest.

A manager like Martinez is the best we can hope for but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a name we don't know like with Solbakken sometimes these managers work well like Pochetino but usually not.

22 Jul 2016 13:19:40
Hows Pulis doing JP, go back to your own board your rumours to-date stink of sandwell town.

22 Jul 2016 13:20:26
I really have gorra loff at yo lot saying Martinez for manager lol
as bad or if not worse than our beloved Kenny in BORING FOOTBALL!
We need to have a coach who sets his team up to play fast attacking football somebody with flair and style whether it be a foreign coach or English for gods sake just somebody who can get players in who know where the back of the bloody net is!

22 Jul 2016 00:46:23
Have it from my sources from within the academy that Quique Sanchez Flores will be in place as manager by Monday.

22 Jul 2016 01:05:16
I'd be happy with that. Or Wilmots or DeBoer. L still wait and see, might still be KJ for all we know. Priority is to strengthen the side immediately.

22 Jul 2016 01:47:46
This is incorrect as Flores took the Espanyol job sadly 😞.

22 Jul 2016 05:11:15
Wrong owner. bugger all set up. at least with the other potential buyer we would have had a manager in waiting and players in place. now nothing.

22 Jul 2016 09:24:21
Yep flores would have been awesome but just started at Espanyol so stop making up stories :) Wilmots is a european Kenny no thanks. Demon and Pompey are putting me off my breakfast, u guys should go and support the boggies u would fit right in!

22 Jul 2016 10:16:29
Talk to Everton fans re Martinez. No thank you.

22 Jul 2016 10:40:46
What are you talking about Demon?
What manager? If it's Lopetegui you're referring to, then he was in agreement with FOSUN wasn't he? He U'turned because he couldn't turn his national side down - and I don't blame him.

22 Jul 2016 11:11:42
Trappatoni or AVB would be my choice.

22 Jul 2016 13:58:12
Steve Bruce set to leave Hull. Another name we will be linked with.

21 Jul 2016 23:13:19
been told that Marc Wilmots will be announced on Monday and Jordan Lukaku will be his first signing.

22 Jul 2016 03:41:16
Were did hear that.

22 Jul 2016 05:08:07
Lukaku's going to Lazio.

22 Jul 2016 08:35:58
Wilmots?! Only club side he ever managed was Sint-Truidense and he got sacked in 2005! Been assistant then full time manager of Belgium - let's be honest with all their talent it would be hard to fail - but he did!
No thanks.
New owners, new ceo, need at least one person who knows English football. Martinez would set our stall out.

22 Jul 2016 08:40:14
Good shout poz.

22 Jul 2016 09:14:26
Just think it would be back to having a rudderless ship if we don't have somebody with the requisite knowledge of English football somewhere in the management structure. If you take out all the fantasy island foreign managers folks keep throwing up - remember we're still in the Chumpionship, Martinez has something to prove, is available, knows the league, plays good football (ok he may need to work on his defensive tactics) . Ee could do a lot worse.

22 Jul 2016 10:42:39
With you Poz - Wilmots is useless. Look at how good that Belgium squad is and he couldn't get anything out of them.
I like Martinez, but he lacks defensively. He certainly wouldn't be worse than we already have that's for sure.

22 Jul 2016 10:58:02
People keep throwing the defensive issue at Martinez based on last season. And I agree to a point. However, there were clearly 'issues' at Everton last year which gor whatever reason Martinez couldn't turn around - Stones pos leaving? Jakielka over the hill? I don't know. But he did a good job there previously and was worshipped at Seansea and Wigan.

22 Jul 2016 12:05:44
I wish the local press would get their facts right about Guo Guangchang. They keep stating that he has only £3 billion pound (3.93USD) but is actually worth £5.72 billion (7.5USD) . He is only just behind Roman Abramovic on 6.25 billion (8.2USD), for all you who like statistics.

So we basically have our very own Roman Abramovic and the success of Wolves will be down to just how seriously he takes us. let's hope he's a football fan, like Roman.

22 Jul 2016 13:27:50
Meh, what's 1.79 billion these days anyway.

22 Jul 2016 16:30:27
Guo Guangchang personal wealth makes him the 4th wealthiest owner of a Football Club in the UK. Not me saying it, but the Financial Times.
I think that gives us a fair chance of better days.
ps
KJ is a decent man, but well out of his depth. I really hope Monday includes some statement about a Premiership quality manager coming in.
KJ, an excellent 3rd tier manager.
MM, an excellent 2nd tier manager
Time for the real thing!
