Kenny Jackett set to pick between Patrick Bamford (Chelsea) and Chris Woods (Leicester) as the options to bolster the striker department. Any deal likely to be an initial loan deal with an option to buy. Similar to the deals for James Henry and Michael Jacobs last season.

Not sure who I would choose

Bamford would be a stellar signing but then again so would Wood

Personally I'd pick Wood, big, strong and a great finisher.

Can we be greedy and have both?

Y not buy one and the other on loan, how promising would that be

Kenny is going to pick between them?
Does that mean that the players or the clubs have no choice in the matter?

I meant he's set to pick his preferred option to try to bring in.

Bamford started for Chelsea in a pre-season game against Wycombe the other day and scored. Either of them would be a good signing, think we'll be in for Wood though.

Banford all day

Get them both in

Why would either Wood or Bamford come to Wolves to sit on the bench. We only play one up front and Dicko suits the way we play perfectly. Besides haven't Brighton got £8 million burning a hole in their pockets. I would be surprised if they weren't interested in both players.

Dicko doesn't always start so definitely space for another striker. Clarke has more to worry about.

Don't think either Wood or Bamford would sit in the bench, either would probably start to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, I think Bamford is a brilliant young talent but personally I think he is slightly similar to Dicko with his pace but on the other hand Wood can become the target man we have been longing for over the past season or two and plus Wood scored 20 under Jackett at Millwall so I think we should go for Wood.

We have a genius of a head coach.he will do what is right for wolves.h
My head says wood but my head ain't kjs head.my gut feelin is he didn't want Wilson he didn't want McGuire. He wanted to bull up Stearman and he wants a proven championship striker.in Kenny we trust.the realist

We could play bamford off the striker so i'd pick him, if we could only get him on loan or wood as a permanent i'd then pick wood purely because I wouldn't want it to be a case that bamford bangs them in for us and then leaves in january and by then wood would have gone elsewhere

So the post above talking about Wood on a permanent, are you saying we should go for Wood? Because I have to agree.

Sell Clarke and get both, i'd rather have players unhappy on the bench trying to prove a point than having a player like clarke sulking to get game time because he thinks he's better than he is

Why oh why Bamford does not fit our style of play at all, its a smoke screen.
Wood on the other hand KJ knows well so can harness his strengths

don't sell Clarke he's scored 5 goals in 4 pre-season games! Sign Chris Wood he's better than Bamford and by signing Bamford it means McAlinden is further down the order and I'd prefer to give McAlinden a good run in as he's homegrown and a wolves supporter

Hes scored against the likes of Cheltenham and Bohemians. He was useless in the games he played last season, useless 1st time round. The only thing I personally feel KJ has got wrong. As for Macca, another loan spell to a higher league one team will do him great untill christmas and see how he goes from there.

Bramford will go to a bigger club, guaranteed
Wood is our only choice tbh

Since when has Burnley been a bigger club than Wolves?

Bamford and Wood both different but effective. I think any wolves fans who saw Bamford at the Mol last season for MK Dons will agree he is definately a very good player hence why he went to Derby from MK Dons quickly. Either or Chris Wood would be nice to show the sh*t down the road he's quality!

We need to reinforce though squad! After last nights performance and result I hope the board will back Kenny and bring some players in!

Since burnley are playing premier league football, I mean we have a better club structure mad resources but they're playing premier league football and we're not

WILKO

To much talk and not enough action KJ! Actions speak louder than words! Striker ASAP! Paul Tamworth

Burnley have done well, for sure. But for me when I think of big clubs, I think of number of fans, marketability (like outside Wolverhamoton/Staffs. We have fans all overvtge place. Does Burnley?) and probably history. We are bigger than some Premier teams in that respect. As are Leeds for example. Hope that clears things up!

Agree with that Windowwolf, we have History and a massive fan base. Whatever league were In that will never change! Just hope were competing this season and not just makin the numbers up. Paul Tamworth

Paul Tamworth have always thought your views we measured and balanced.if we need a striker Kenny will buy the right one.we will play one up front no question. Barring injury or a drop in form that man will be Dicko.if that happens it will be Clarke if that fails we will loan.centre back is our problem and maybe a cm. if we are going 442 or 3 5 2 we need a striker if not we are fine my friend our club is in good hands. And hand on heart if we finish in the top ten I personally will be made up. The realist.

Woods in at Wolves by early next week. Ulloa signing for Leicester this week & Woods wants Wolves move for more first team opportunities. Big George Elokobi hoping for move to Leyton Orient.
