Just heard the post match interview on WM and i think it is becoming apparent already that Solbakken has very high standards . I don't think he will be afraid to drop players as shown tonight but i reckon the players will respect him for this . His positive attitude can only benefit the players . Things are looking up at last.

Sat behind him last night he looks like he has high standards 1 time 1 of there cb got past doyle in their half and he started to get all angry and started shouting at doyle

{Ed011's Halftime Report - Doumbia has been immense, he really is a gem and he's really bringing the best out of Henry, we might have a midfield partnership on our hands for once and when he comes back it'll be hard to fit JOH in. Otherwise we've played well, Johnson has been quality, great performance by him as has Peszko who's caused them some trouble, he's a real fighter. Zubey and Wardy are playing well, Solbakken has clearly got them pushing up the wings more and on our tactics our passing has looked much, much sharper.

Doyle and Blake just aren't clicking, they've both played ok(ish) but aren't meshing. Berra has looked rocky at times but with a new CB and getting Sigurdarson into the front two we might JUST do well this season. Come on you Wolves!

At last i can say well played wolves godbless you happy after 15 games ps well done johnson yes johnson now back the manger morgan

Nice to get a decent win under our belts, confidence should be high for Derby sat. I totally agree, desperate for a centre half, we'll see what happens over the next 10 days. Fingers x'd.

What is going on at Wolves? it is clear for eveyone to see that we have a defencive problem and still no new signings. To make matters worse, the Express and Star now states that Stale is to let Danny Batth go out on loan???. I think most Wolves fans would agree that is should be Stearman Going on loan or sold and that Danny Batth shoudl be first choice Centre half along with Johnson. I am starting to think that the Whole club has started to loose the plot.

Agree with you give the lad a few games we get this b/s from morgan/moxley compton park state of the arts complex then we dont play then morgan is in for it if the team do not buck up tonite 15 bloody matches with out a win

We got relegated last year because we had the worst defence in the league that is a fact, so what have we done about it !!, Berra has the nerve to put a transfer request in he must be as embarresed about this as we are, where are the takers for him i ask myself ?, Stearman is dreadful, Foley cant pass to his own players, Elokobi is awfull, Ward is a winger come centre forward come defensive midfielder come carp, and we expect to bounce back into the Premier with these players who wasnt good enough to keep us up there, getting a joke at the golden palace.

I agree with the above post , how many of you have actually seen db play fair enough he had a good season for shef wed in league 1 but can we afford he to make mistakes for us within his first few games in the champ, some fickle wolves fans would be so quick to knock him down give him games in the cup and go from there ...

The point of loaning young players is to give them match experience. ManU do it all the time. DB will be in the team in a few months after the loan, if his game is good enough.

Danny Batth has played enough First team football at Sheff Wed last season, ok its a lower division but its not reserve team football. He is used to playing in front of 20K + crowds and under pressure (finished runners up last season) so you cant tell me that he is not ready to play in the championship. You watch, Sheff Wednesday will soon be back in for him when they see he is available on loan again, and then lets see how many clean sheets they have and where they are in the league. They way we conceed goals and the lack of goals up front, at best i can only see us finishing mid table. What was wrong when we gave Robbie Keane his chance out of the reserves at 18? oh yes, he scored us lots of goals and went on to bigger and better things and made us 6 million pounds profit and will never forget the club or stop supporting the club for everything they did for him.
Time to give Danny Batth his chance, he knows himself he is good enough and so should the Manager/ players and the supporters. Sing his name tonight when yet again Berra/Stearman dont stay with their men and we conceed again!!!

Any1 who went to the walsall game wud see that batth isnt ready! U can blaim MOXEY or morgan or whoever else u want, the simple fact is that he isnt good enough yet! We need to sign a LCB

Bassong was rubbish last year at us, why would we sign him.

We need Geromel, but nothing from Koln for 5 days since they denied he was moving. Real Betis rumour had died, but signs that Atletico wanted him to then 'on loan' to Sevilla. Koln could be looking to get what they can as he's only 27 next month, rarely injured and only one red in last 3 seasons. It will be up to £4m tops and I think Solbakken could win this as his ex -manager. If issue is clearing deadwood/incoming funds then M& M should step in and support as CB is priority...so suddenly not that hopeful!

I am sorry but, how can you judge Danny Batth on one (Friendly) against Walsall? If he is not ready then why did he play in the whole season for Sheff Wednesday and got them promoted. If he were still at Sheffield he would be playing for them this season in the same division as us. I think from your comment above that you are obviously one of those fans that still think wolves have the right/are good enough to be playing at a higher level. Well, wake up, we are a poor team and will struggle again this season, now is the time to use the likes of Dannt Batth to give him the experience so we can at least attempt to challege for promotion next year. I agree that we should be looking to bring in an additional CH, but dont agree that Batth should be sent out on loan.

The Danny Batth debate is getting a good response, would like to hear other peoples views.

Danny Batth is a hoof merchant, that's why Stale doesn't fancy him, exactly the same with Berra.
We will sign a footballing centre half to play with Johnson.
Elokobi can play centre half at this level so we're not that short.
Get rid of Berra and loan out Batth. Sign new first team player!

If we bring in another defender like Stale wants then the cb partnership will most likely to be the new guy and johnson. This wud mean batth wouldn't be first choice. the best way of batth improving is to play therefore send him out on loan. david davis went out on loan multiple times to different teams and it improved him.

Not happy that batth maybe LOANED out AGAIN this is ridiculas he was better than stears in pre season he needs to play if there good enough the youngsters should play
