It looks more and more likely that Afobe will be sold in the next window, possibly 14 mil. It will be interesting to see how much, if any, of that money is spent on new players.

20 Oct 2015 09:23:40
I suppose you saw that in the clouds this morning?

20 Oct 2015 13:17:42
No, it was the sun.

20 Oct 2015 13:27:52
I think he will be sold in Jan unless a new owner is found who says otherwise.

20 Oct 2015 17:53:24
Why sell your best chance of doing anything if sell afobe wolves far less attractive to anyone wanting purchase club he may go in summer but don't see it at Jan.

20 Oct 2015 18:15:54
If he gets 12mil for Afobe in Jan, then he can drop the askin price for the club by 10mil and still be 2 mil up!

20 Oct 2015 22:39:47
Interesting maths Mr 'T', I suggest you put this initiative forward to 'Mr Moxey' as your alternative financial plan for the future of our great club lol!

20 Oct 2015 23:33:54
If someone's only willing to pay 40 million, but Morgan wants 50 then he can make the 10 million up plus 2 extra million by selling Afobe. If it gets us a new owner, I'd be quite happy to let Afobe go. Forget promotion this season with this squad, a new owner with my ambition is far more important for our great club!

21 Oct 2015 01:22:37
A new owner with your ambition? Such as who exactly? Sir Jack spent millions and never achieved the success he should have done! I'm not a big fan of Steve Morgan, but when you have employed certain players on ridiculous wages who massively underachieved, I would be inclined to be very prudent regarding future finances.

21 Oct 2015 08:07:18
I agree wolf. how many of these fellow rumourers can even spell million or write it down numerically? Do any of them deal in millions in their daily lives?
Td.

Whoever the new owner is, their investment needs to be in the 1st team, if it means payin higher wages to achieve success then so be it, I agree a lot of money was wasted on second rate players and their wages, that is why whoever the new owner is they need to bring in a new manager with premiership quality who knows what players are quality and can handle big names if we're lucky enough to get an owner with deep pockets. If the new owner could put 20 mil into our 1st team and get the right manager we will be a permanent fixture in the Premier league.

21 Oct 2015 09:32:38
And which manager with such great premier league experience is going to come to us?
Only one that is out of work and on their way down and we've had plenty of those in the past who have spent big money and got us nowhere.Glenn Hoddle being a prime example.

Let's see who the new owner is first! While we speculate who it may be let's look upon the glass as half full and not half empty! 🍺.

Exactly what needs to be happening in our current situation Paul "look upon the glass as half full". As wolves fans we don't do this enough, too much doom and glooming. Also just wanna say something about the match the weekend, as I've had a few days to think about it and re-watch it. We we're good on the ball but looked totally clueless when Derby were in possession. We gifted them 2 goals and seemed to just completely open up and give them way too much space down the middle, I think KJ got the tactics completely wrong, IMO a 433 would have been better against a very good attacking team in Derby. Price Mcdonald Coady being the 3 CM'S. then we should have used our quickest front 3 to hit them on the counter attack in Ojo Byrne and Afobe. Soak up the pressure from Derby, Flood the midfield and break down the flanks with Iorfa + Byrne and Golbourn + Ojo. Although Lefondre scored he didn't do much else, really didn't have the opportunity to do much else, would have been better to bring him on in last few mins to nick a goal rather than bring Coady on to make sure we don't concede another.

Yes StuuCorbett, when we equalised we were the better team for 10mins but after that we were second to everything and our defence was a joke! We need a centre half with pace as Danny Batth looked like he was in slow motion at times and he is our best centre half! Let's keep our fingers crossed for a new owner with cash to match our ambition! On a positive I think we will win 3-1 tonight.

21 Oct 2015 20:37:11
Well half time atm Paul, and we look worse this week, I'm not usually a doom and gloomer but we have been very poor. Don't agree with the booing mind you. We missing Price today, and no pace apart from Ojo and Afobe.

21 Oct 2015 22:41:48
It's not about being a doom and gloomer, its about reality. The reality is, we aren't good enough at the moment and this was clear from the end of the transfer window. This season is about staying in the league now and trying to build for next season.

With the owner having jumped ship, all we can look towards to is someone who can back the manager and build a squad good enough for next season. The sooner the better.
