Wolves are looking at promising Irish forward/left winger
Stephen Nolan of Saint Martin's FC , Nolan has previously been loaned out at Wellington Phoenix , Phoenix wanted to sign Nolan , but he sees his future playing in England.Nolan has captained Ireland under 16's ,18's & 20's.Wolves want Nolan to replace the out going Jarvis.

OMG !! cant wolves look further than Ireland for a change ?

Watched the african nations the other month and there were some real class big players on display.

Almost ALL the unheard off players that have done well this season have come from eastern europe leagues and african players.....

cant pronounce most of them but

the two forwards playing at fulham & everton... both cost very little and class.

odenwingie - russian league, class act

then theres newcastle, half there team is african now and there a class act.

LOOK FURTHER THAN IRELAND AND SCOTLAND FOR GODS SAKE, AFTER ALL BOTH THE LEAGUE SUCK ANYWAY !

mILLS WOLF

Talking of African players I quite like the look of the Ghana centre back Jonathan Mensah. Still only 21 he looked a tall, strong and solid player at the last World Cup.

Not to be confused with his CB partner John Mensah that used to play for Sunderland but although quite small, I always thought he was pretty decent as well!

Thats it its all the scots and irish thats the priblem ... nothing to do with the english or any other nation ...

I blame zee Germans!

Get stuffed i am proud that 90% of our team is from britain...

Yeah and 90% of our team is not good enough and bout to go down rolling over and dying a slow death while 37 other team go through us..... Here's a joke for ya, an English man, Irish Man & scotts Man, walk onto the pitch......

I blame zee Clowns!

I blame zee players poor performance.

I blame zee morgan.

Those criticising Morgan must remember:

Sir Jack only once got us over the final hurdle and that was short lived as we got relegated. This with millions thrown at cause. Morgan has done what Sir Jack tried with the club running as a successful business.

Morgan has released funds with a marquis signing each season based on judgement of manager - Doyle (2009), Fletcher (2010), Johnson (2011) all at time would be agreed by most as good signings (if in hindsight not). This as well as lesser signings. Remember Stoke and Sunderland have done exactly this over the years to stabilise themselves in the league and look where they are now based on this ethos.

Wolves were in market for Wallace (Rangers), McCarthy (Wigan), Dann (Blackburn), Carr (Birmingham) - all of which would have been good additions to squad, all were close deals though Mick could not sell club enough to them to convince them to sign for Wolves.

Building the ground was one of the terms to be adhered to if Sir Jack was to sign club over to Morgan

Finally, Mick would have been given to end of season and re-assessed then. If club did not go forward on 2010-11 he would resign / be dismissed. This ideal was altered as knee jerk to Albion result as unrest between fans made his job unattainable. Hence why no man was ready made to take hot seat vacated by Mick - early discussions on candidates had been held but with none available after sacking Mick the search was widened with 13-game fill offered only as none were seen as long term solutions.

On advice of SAF Darren Ferguson has thrown his hat in the ring and will fight out with who I am led to believe is Holloway. Both have been interviewed on the hush hush.

Why did morgan make a pigs ear of replaceing mick and with connors what a joke and he sould have acted before with mick

I keep saying it can he not open his mouth and tell you good or bad anyone would think we are a top four in the world club

Bloody Ferguson no good has a player for us let alone manager some ones taking the p here

Hayward did NOT throw millions once we got promoted, he abandoned the ship.

Its ok saying were in the market for this and that players i am in the market for a rolls Royce but will never get one

Too right sir jack leg it with dave jones gave him sod all

Bloody hush hush hope morgan is faster then this when he has the runs my god

Ferguson had a brilliant footballing brain and will make it as a manager. People Forfar that sad was no good as a player and was advised to give up the playing side and go into management. His son may surprise a few people yet.

It was nothing to do with Mick not selling the club, all of those players mentioned went for much higher wage packages elsewhere.

I agree that Fergie Jnr has a good footballing brain and has done well in his manegerial career so far. I think that most fans though are still looking for a blue chip manager to be announced. I would like to think that fergie would be a good appointment but i also think that to ease his passage into the hotseat we would need to be rid of the over opinionated prima donnas that we currently have in the squad. This may also see an improved opportunity of loan signings from SAF.

Fergir jnr would obviously have the ear of Fegie snr. Might work but would need a good team behind him.

Being the son of Fergie snr is not reason enough alone to appoint him.

We could appoint Clough jr by the same logic.

I dont think that anyone was insinuating that fergie should be made manager because of who his father is but for some of the admirable qualities that he does have.

Whoever is made manager will have hopefully more positives than negatives for most of us but i suppose it depends how blinkered some of us are.

Fergie jr would be a good appt as we will loose half the team and we need to consolidate in the championship. He has managed to keep Peterborough in the championship, with low gates and no money (except the 1million well spent in January). Hopefully he will be able to get rid of Johnson and Ward our too major week links.

Wolves are after a manager already in a job, already in the championship with a chance of promotion, this is almost a deffo (not 100% cause you never can be with wolves)

this is the reason why wolves didnt appoint after mick, despite interviewing people they already decided who they wanted. And it wasnt really curbs or bruce.

The two main candidated are

Ian Holloway & Chirs H from blackpool & Brum.

I just hope they have got a manager in mind or its going to be very hard next season and with there track record so far im very nervous wolves fan

Think about this for a moment tho'. What you're really saying is that the club sacked Mick and then decided to wait around until the season ends to appoint his successor (who apparently is in a job - like wow). The worry here is that you could be completely right. Further worries should follow aplenty if the two in charge of that decision are still around to make more.

My take on it is that going to the Champo is a deliberate strategy by the top management.

I think it will be Holloway. Affordable, ambitious and he has found a way of getting his teams to play attractive football.
If it happens I would love to be a fly on the wall when he has to have a meeting with Moxey. The fat straight faced one with not a clue about football and the passion of the ginger one who just won't put up with the crap that Moxey spouts.

Add Poyet to that short-list.

Mr Allardyce come back home lets have a team with your fire and passion. Plus we cann offer the state of the art medicall facilities you introduced at Bolton, we are the first team to regularly check all plays from academy for heart an medical defects. We all know it will happen one day

Alright Ed - As the hammer comes down to hit the final nail in the coffin, id hope by now Morgan would of been making calls to agents about potential new managers and players.

Do you still think its most likley to be Holloway still ?

There's been soo many names banded around now from the obvious like Big Sam, Curbs, Lee Clarke to the strange ones like Temuri Ketsbia, Ole Gunner Sol to the ex players like Cure, Ince, David Kelly, Mixu pantyliner etc...

I really hope this time in his infinate wisdom, he has a plan B, if his first choice doesnt want it.

(My choice would be Ince personally, as he really wants the job, and bring in an experianced football managing director, and a good assistant like wilkins, then try get back chris evans as head of youth, bobby mimms as gk coach & throw Irwin in the mix somewhere too and that would be and great back room team.... if only)

Also speaking of chris evans (not the ginger one, the grey one) he's been at the past 3 wolves games aparently, and he's megsons asistant, no smoke without fire prehaps ed ?

And ed i dont suppose you know any players on there way out ? heard fletcher will be going, and Mick has come out and said this too.

cheers for your thoughs ed

Mills wolf {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, it will still be Holloway if possible, or certainly a manager who has a chance of getting his team promoted anyway, hence why nothing has been done yet. There is a back up plan in case the chosen man does get his team up though, I just have no idea what it is. As for Ince, he is a complete knob, he is a terrible manager and a horrible arrogant man, you really don't want him in charge of the club.
Players out are dependent on the new man in charge, mostly, other than players who want to leave, Fletcher's agent is shopping him round, hence the rumours of a move to Liverpool earlier in the season. That would make it likely he leaves, other than that, I would expect Jarvis to go if the club goes down. There were some hints dropped about him not getting a chance of international football because he plays for Wolves.}

Cheers ed ! :)

ive also read on some of the other site that Moxey is considering resigning as long as morgan agree's to pay him off well, morgan is aparently considering it too as it will take all the flack off him, does this sound like wishfull thinking or do you think there might be something on it ?

mills wolf {Ed001's Note - sounds like wishful thinking to me, sorry.}

Please not Ince!! it would all be about him! we want a manager that is there for the team and not for own gain......he is no mourinio (he gets away with that) :-)
