Irrespective of what ultimately was a disappointing day yesterday the next 5 matches are winnable with the team that has turned out for the games in August . Time to be positive again?

01 Sep 2017 18:29:18
We have now lost 20 Goals this season with Dicko and Edwards being sold and now have no 9 in our squad.

We should of waited until the striker we was after had signed on the dotted line!

"What a bulls up"

Ricky Lambert is a free agent, should we go for him. 🐺🐺🐺.

01 Sep 2017 18:37:27
Just read Jeff Shi's interview, fair play what he's saying makes sense, they're obviously taking the time to find the perfect fit striker for the system. I know we all wanted to see someone come in yesterday, but in the long run I think this may work out very well.

01 Sep 2017 18:55:29
Agreed. Shi has explained why we've done what we've done. Let's get behind Nuno and the lads and cheer them on to glory rather than berate them.

01 Sep 2017 19:00:10
cheick diabate and giuseppe Rossi also free agents not sure if there good enough tho.

01 Sep 2017 19:01:17
Edwards scored 10 goals last season and allegedly singled handily kept us up. WHAT A JOKE! His goals earned around 8 points from the games he scored but it's impossible to see how many goals he didn't create or the times opposition scored when he left his CMF partner trying to get on the end of a Dicko cross. Dicko spent more time on the wing than as A CENTRE striker. So we have better CM to CREATE chances for the three forwards as we don't play wingers.

Have have a better squad, better quality first 11 and coach than we've had for years so stop whinging and find that bridge.

01 Sep 2017 19:15:54
Jeff's the man, what he says in his interview makes sense'no point blowing money in a panic'Dicko and Edwards didn't fit nunos system so they were sold, Jordan needs games so he was loaned out to a team that plays good football, can't knock them'they seem to know what they want to do and don't seem to be the panicking type.
Get behind the team now and let's push on. UTW.

01 Sep 2017 19:30:40
I will find that bridge if you find that stone!

01 Sep 2017 20:32:34
I just hope it doesn't cost us at the end of season not getting that striker in we should have enough up front to get goals but Nuno did state that we can get players in on free transfers if we need them I did think that many other fans thought as well once we sold dicko we had already got players lined up obviously we never.

01 Sep 2017 21:11:00
Ajwolf - well said, I agree 100% and have been saying the thing for many months. Thank goodness we now have a team of actual footballers rather than just willing, but untalented, players.

Also re Jordan Graham, I've heard from a number of people who allegedly 'know' that he is a bit of a 'wild child' who lacks discipline and gets involved in things he shouldn't do maybe that helps explain his temporary exile?

01 Sep 2017 21:54:30
Just having a look at this Diabate guy, he's goalscoring record is quite decent, could he be an option? Anyone know anything about him?

01 Sep 2017 23:07:34
Top posts Aj and Das agree entirely! Of course we would have all liked Locadia to get over the line (obviously none more so than the club) but thank god they didn’t go down the Villa route of panic buying a McCormack who has just become a huge useless drain on the club…so easily done in a panic I’m sure! Also Das have heard the same on Graham and there's clearly some truth there when you look at his history. Villa letting us have him on a FREE despite him being well respected as a player (clearly they wanted rid quick maybe past falling out/ misdemeanour) . No big deal in isolation but when you add that to two managers in a row (Nuno and KJ) snubbing him for preseason training abroad whilst taking other less gifted/ recognised youth options. Not to mention that fact that in both cases the managers stated during those preseason tours when asked that basically he wasn’t there because he needed to do more to earn his place…. well alarm bells do sadly ring! And it is a REAL shame because with all the money we’ve spent he still looks like one of the most technically gifted wingers in the team. Equally for him to look that good and still get ignored by most managers he’s worked with…well clearly there a problem somewhere. COYW.

02 Sep 2017 00:28:52
Regarding Jordan Graham the wild child. If that is so then you don't send him to London.

02 Sep 2017 08:14:58
It's nice of Shi to come out and explain what happened. But he also said in an interview that Lambert was part of Wolves DNA and he hoped he'd stay for many years. Then he sacked him a few weeks later.

Shi comes across as a nice man, but I do struggle to trust what he says.

02 Sep 2017 08:57:57
Completely agree with Ajwolf, BullysBoy, DAS and others. We actually now have a better team then we've had in decades.

With regards to the two "surprise" departures, Graham and Dicko, they both seem to be at least partially for reasons of discipline, therefore not that surprising maybe. We need everybody in the boat rowing together. In Nuno I trust.

02 Sep 2017 09:52:48
Clivewolves, I trust Shi. He may have thought Lambert was up to the job at one point after our good cup run but then the cracks appeared. It became clear that Lambert was McCarthy/ Jackett Mark 2, when we needed better. Add in the fact that Lambert made it clear he wasn't happy with signing foreign players and wanted full control. Myself, I would have sacked him on the spot. Lambert blew it.

02 Sep 2017 12:14:32
Lambert's biggest mistake was not getting a proper striker last January window - upps we done it again!

02 Sep 2017 13:14:56
His biggest mistake was taking the job the same as jacket, different formation and players out of position totally clueless, nuno has a system andthe same players in their positions, ace to watch.

02 Sep 2017 13:17:51
We have the best team at Wolves in years and now is the time to get behind them, forget about Dicho, Edwards, Mason and all the others we have sold or loaned this year it had to be done.
Finishing that far down the league last year was proof enough that most of the players had to be moved on, which we have done and replaced them with far better players in my opinion.
It might sound silly but although we need a striker which we tried to get and were let down last minute its not a disaster in my opinion with the system Nuno plays and it will be put right in the next transfer window or before if there's a free agent good enough out there, Fosun have not let we down yet and I think its great times to come at Wolves but we fans need a bit of patience it will take time, I for one would be happy with top 6 but to get automatic promotion would be fantastic.

02 Sep 2017 19:49:37
Omg go back 2 years ago and if said jota cav and Costa will be are front 3 you would have laughed at me. come on guys a.

02 Sep 2017 23:27:16
Agree, Cav - Jota - Costa is our front 3 now, depending on if Bonatini, gets up to fitness soon. Honestly having a front 3 mixed of, Costa, Cav, Jota, Bonatini, Bright, Zyro, Ronan, Wallace is still better than any championship side.

01 Sep 2017 16:19:26
Hello Wolves supporters. New to site so try to be not to harsh. With regard to the option of bringing a free agent striker I'm not sure this will make us any better off. Most free agents are free for a reason, either to old or not good enough. So let's leave it to Nuno to develop the team hiss way and maybe Mendes can pull a rabbit out of the hat and find a half decent free agent sticker. FWAW.

01 Sep 2017 16:51:33
Welcome, I'm sure you are right this team should be strong enough or with a little help of the u23 squad to make up in a few places. Look what we did in league 1 there were a few gems in the young team just needed some game time.

01 Sep 2017 17:30:01
If the reason for getting another striker is backup, then age probably doesn't matter that much. If he is free, what difference does age make, as long as he can play for the length of his contract, which could be 6 months, I would think.

01 Sep 2017 18:06:45
Am I right in saying Rossi who used to play for Utd is a free agent surly if he is would be worth having.

01 Sep 2017 20:32:33
I think you will find Rossi getting over a serious injury.

01 Sep 2017 23:12:12
Sadly Rossi has spent a career ‘getting over a serious injury’ which is precisely why we are discussing him as a free here rather than him playing for the national team! Real talent just unfortunately made of glass. I like Lambert but when you look at the stats….8 league goals in all since leaving Southampton and that’s between three different clubs!

02 Sep 2017 12:42:26
There r a number of free agents but would they fit into nunos system.

01 Sep 2017 11:17:58
According to Wolves TV we've signed a midfielder called Ming Yang Yang, never heard of him.

01 Sep 2017 12:37:04
I'm sure there's a few good players who will be given a chance to shine from the under 23 side.

01 Sep 2017 12:44:44
Any relation to who flung dung?

👍😉⚽️.

01 Sep 2017 14:10:24
Truth is! Not getting in a couple of strikers was a complete balls up! We are building a new team and Nuno is doing a great job, but not getting in regular goal scorers at the sharp end is irresponsible and letting your own strike force go with NO guaranteed replacements compounds that.

That my friends, is the truth of the matter. At least the kids should be given a chance, maybe one of them will shine! Enobakhare is a good player, thus far his goal tally is Zero though. You pay lots for goals in this market and it's getting more by the month. We missed an opportunity! I know all this is easier said than done. Money talks though.
⚽️😉👍. Up the Wolves.

01 Sep 2017 14:10:57
OK, all you ITK posters. What happened to all those strikers who you said had signed, with the media announcement to follow?

I lost count of how many strikers we had signed. Admit it, you just don't know and were guessing.

01 Sep 2017 14:52:16
Yes WOLVESCOAST his brother is wich kung fu dat.

01 Sep 2017 14:55:49
Jeff's uncle sons girlfriends auties grandson.

01 Sep 2017 15:00:14
No! This one sits on his bum all day eating bamboo shoots 😀.

01 Sep 2017 15:05:34
Disappointed by the lack of a striker being brought, just saw that Jose Antonio Reyes formerly of arsenal and Giuseppe Rossi available for a free, both probably past their peak but could offer a bit more quality up top.

01 Sep 2017 15:26:33
it is not about us having heard of him he will be used to market the club in China.

01 Sep 2017 16:12:48
Maybe he's a decent player and not just a marketing tool. We don't go round saying Bright will be used to market Wolves in Nigeria and the rest of Africa do we. Or maybe we should. Africa is a growing market as well.

01 Sep 2017 16:15:38
Reyes is a great shout but Rossi did his acl in April so doubt he'll be playing for a while.

01 Sep 2017 16:24:04
Giuseppe Rossi is still available as a free agent maybe worth a pop as back up, up front only 30 a fairly decent player. Looking at the free transfer market he looks the best available now Remy has got to Las Palmas.

01 Sep 2017 16:25:24
Be careful, big Jeff is watching 👀 🇨🇳🈹🉐㊙️🈲🐼😒🥗.

01 Sep 2017 09:59:37
So I'm as baffled as you all by this. But I will say it sounds like psv lead us down the garden path with that jurgen lad.

Anyhow, we still have 6 quality attacking players and as said by others it didn't do Liverpool any harm. Get behind the players boys!

Up the wolves.

01 Sep 2017 10:16:32
Well said Eddie last year woods 27 goal top scorer Abraham 23 goals top 2 goal scorers did they go up? Answer is No so keep the faith we got plenty of firepower till jab. Coyw.

01 Sep 2017 10:22:44
I'm sure we will all 'get behind the players'. But to let Dicko go without getting someone better in, nevermind the fact we didn't get anyone, can't be good. I know Dicko wasn't great but he is still better than the invisible man.

Maybe we needed to sell Dicko to raise money for a new striker and FFP was a consideration after all despite what some have said.

01 Sep 2017 10:37:23
Dwight Gayle. Glenn Murray? They both got promoted.

01 Sep 2017 10:55:56
Well said eddielongshot. Let's play the Liverpool way. Costa is back soon and he just walked a ball into the Cardiff net last season.

01 Sep 2017 11:42:54
Think we will be okay still playing well with the system we play, at least we have a midfielder in on loan, would of been nice to have a good striker but it wasnt to be when they pulled the plug for the Dutch player and 15 million for Afobe cannot say we didn't try, and don't forget Helda costa will be back soon.
We are going in another direction for the better now with a lot better class of players being brought in when we do get them.

01 Sep 2017 11:38:41
Agent and player wanted back handers that's why we did not sign Locadia. We did not need someone like that, we still have enough quality at Wolves to get promotion, we all need to get behind the manager and the team.

01 Sep 2017 12:22:12
The only prolific goal scorer the last few years has been Afobe we have tried with so many others Dicko Mason Bod Siggy LeFondre Doyle Griffiths Clarke McAlinden Cassidy Holt probably others I can't remember we don't get it right so I am not worried about our strength but I am worried Nuno hasn't assembled the team he wanted and expected which means he might be gone by the end of the season and we have to start again.

01 Sep 2017 12:52:38
Nope - agent and player didn't want back handers - that is totally inaccurate.

Medical was underway and almost complete when it was pulled - personal terms agreed in advance of the medical and a prelim contract was agreed at £36k per week.

PSV pulled the plug due to a lack of replacement. end of.

01 Sep 2017 12:59:45
And of course, Robert Taylor.

01 Sep 2017 13:43:50
That is right Telford it was Psv that pulled out I think they pulled the plug on 2or3 of there other players that were due for transfers yesterday.

01 Sep 2017 14:02:36
Check Tim Nash, agent wanted a payment and so did the player.

01 Sep 2017 17:32:44
Sorry but Dicko is just not that good to lose any sleep over. I'm sure some of the wingers can play in the middle.

01 Sep 2017 09:56:50
It don't look good people. Loads of strikers out, No strikers in.
So zyro, cav, bright, all back up strikers.

Automatic promotion ambitions?
Play offs at best if we can stay in touch and get a striker in Jan.

31 Aug 2017 23:58:45
Wolves have signed alfred n'diaye from villareal on a season long loan.
welcome to wolves alfred.

01 Sep 2017 02:34:02
Just watched a YouTube video of the lad, I'd rather stick with Saiss! 5 minutes of clips showing square passes long hoofed balls that went staring to the opposition and the odd tackle! I cut it short half way through! Unless I'm mistaken, is it the same N'Daiye who played for hull? Apologies if I'm wrong!

01 Sep 2017 06:03:37
Will we lose him and Saiss for January so they can play in the African cup.

01 Sep 2017 06:22:01
No because:

1: Next tournament is in 2019.
2: It's played in June/ July. The last tournament was the last to be played mud season.

01 Sep 2017 06:22:31
^Mid^.

01 Sep 2017 06:52:49
At least we've got new lyrics to an old song.

NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA
WE AIN'T GOT A WOLVES NUMBER NINE!

01 Sep 2017 07:58:45
I'll check with my mate about N'diaye, he's a Blunderland supporter and will remember when he played for them! I don't know squat about him!

I have agreed with Nuno's tactic of building from the back, but always felt as much priority should have been given to the front! Well it wasn't, my gut says it will likely cost us. Hope I'm wrong big time. ⚽️😉👍.

01 Sep 2017 08:52:04
Well I'm glad that's over I know we didn't get a Forward in but I Don't think we can moan to much can we? Fosun have back our manager 100% this summer in a way we could only dream of two years ago. As for the ITK army you know FA and the my source said guys well the only sauces you've got are red and brown at least now the bull will stop and we can all get with supporting our great team, guys will be fine. IN NUNO WE TRUST.

01 Sep 2017 09:30:06
I'm disappointed a striker wasn't signed. Albeit I felt all options were either too expensive (even for us) or hadn't shown enough to make me feel confident that they would score 20 goals. Burnley signed wells which just stinks of desperation IMO. I also felt we could have got renato Sanches but premier league football was to tempting.
However with a front three of jota, cav, Donovan, bright, Costa and bonatini I feel we are covered we just need to make sure we impose our selves and control possession.
UTW.

01 Sep 2017 10:38:49
And to think my wife always tells me off for leaving things til the last minute -)

Been impressed with all our dealings so far- had to be an exception and N'Diaye is it.
