Some Wolves rumours for you all.

Roger Johnson has this evening been released from his contract as no suitors have come in for him this evening.

Following him out of Molineux is Kevin Foley, on his way to Peterborough on loan up until the January transfer season, with a view to a permanent move depending on Peterborough's position.

Wolves have brought in Leicester's highly rated youngster Tom Hopper, having missed out on Andy Delort. This is a late move, provided that the paperwork has been completed on time.

If you are right then this is good news for all (apart from our balance sheet for compensating Johnson). Can't see anything on the web about any of these stories yet.

None of this happened though, did it?

I was disappointed with not getting a striker but I can understand Wolves wantin to stick to their wage cap, hopefully we get a good loan signin. Roll on Blackpool!🍻🍻🍻😎

Agree with the club that we're not going to start signing players on stupid wages again. We have a good squad, perhaps not the most well-known, but they all have fans' respect. Head up the M6 if you want to see exhibition football.

Interesting the e&s reporting on this subject. Kenny says no wage cap as such but believes it's good for team spirit if players are on similar packages. Delort would have been the top earner and Kenny didn't think that was right although he doesn't rule out bringing a key player in later in the season and I assume he means emergency loan or something like that.

I agree with others that Kenny's approach values the team over individuals and the result is that we are behind all of them unlike the rabble from two seasons ago. Didn't he say something about connecting the team with the fans when he came in?

Breaking!

Glenn Murray of crystal palace to join wolves in swap deal for Kevin Doyle! Heard this. Hope it's true!

You have posted on the banter sight saying a young striker to sign more to come surely we won sign both?

{Ed003's Note - I put it on banter because it wasn't exactly very informative.}

30 year old has been. Doyle is better otherwise why would they swop?

Gone to reading.

Doyle gone till January. dicko going African cup in January. hmmmmmm. hope there's a cheeky loan signing up jackets sleeve

BBC saying he's gone to Reading. Roll on the loan window.

When does the loan window open and who do people think well try and get?

TRANSFER NEWS
Wolves are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Oldham striker Jonson Clarke-Harris.
He scored a record 33 goals on 45 league apps

01 Sep 2014 20:05:37
Frimpong anybody. Thought I would mention it before Somebody else says it.

Haha somebody had to

01 Sep 2014 21:45:58
Where do you get the 33 goals from.

01 Sep 2014 21:46:46
I hate to break to you. but Jonson Clarke-Harris did not score 33 goals. I saw those stats too and they are wrong. According to the official football league website he only scored 5 goals in the league.

Someone's fixed the goalometer that's why we should only buy from a reputable dealer

{Ed003's Note - just confirmed he's signed for Rotherham.}

01 Sep 2014 13:40:30
Roger Johnson is off to Genk and Doyle is off to Crystal Palace on a season long loan.

01 Sep 2014 14:35:27
Does this mean Kevin Foley will be training alone?

Looks like Palace are also after Wood. Was hoping we would try a late bid.

Foley would be the only "Group Three" player left. Imagine he'd be reintegrated if they can't move him on before tonight's deadline OR the Loan Deadline in a few weeks time. He's a perfectly capable backup to Doherty, Ricketts and Golbourne.

Is any one else disappointed we haven't signed a striker?! Yes there's the loan window but being as all summer Kenny has asked for a striker why haven't we got one.

Just read about delort we apparently offered 3 mil but got priced out on wages? Of we are wiling to pay 3m why cat we offer a better wage if we rate him trust highly!

I really hope I'm wrong and we sign someone bit it doesn't look likely and who's an exciting talent left to loan and score us the goals we need?!

Bitterly disappointed

Matt90, it wasnt that we couldn't afford his wages, its we don't want to break the wage structure, if he's asking for more than any of our players are on why risk upsetting the rest of the squad because one player that is unproven is moaning about his wage

Yeah I think we're all disappointed that a striker hasn't been brought in yet. Kenny will be disappointed as well I imagine.

Was wondering the other day if Chris Wood might find that his opportunities lessen in the next couple of weeks. If that's the case then he may become available on loan?

If not, as far as I can tell John Guidetti didn't move to Celtic last night. So presumably he is still at Man City. Worth asking the question about a loan? The scouting team will find someone suitable I'm sure.

03 Sep 2014 12:31:10
Not disappointed really. Yes of course I wanted another striker but not at the kind of money going around the higher Championship clubs just now. Imagine what the dressing room would be like if we added a "superstar"? Kenny has created a good ethic at the club, very different to what he inherited, and we would do well to keep faith in that. This is also one reason he keeps the Group 3 players away from the main squad.

01 Sep 2014 13:13:57
Jack Price gone to Yeovil on loan.

One month emergency loan. Good opportunity to get some game time under his belt!

01 Sep 2014 14:50:05
Yes, looks like it's just for one month. Better for him than not even being on the bench. He should get full games at Yeovil.

01 Sep 2014 11:26:04
Hearing a possibility of two potential season loans, Ashely Barnes of Burnley or still looking at the ever present Danny Graham as last resort

Danny Graham is unlikely given his wage demands. Even on a loan we'd be expected to contribute to his £40,000 per week package. Even with the recent outages I'm not sure Wolves would be keen on those wages.

01 Sep 2014 19:18:14
Barnes came on against man utd and provides part of the limited cover whilst vokes is injured. Loan move is unlikely.
