Wolves can confirm that an offer was received for striker Kevin Doyle shortly before the closure of the transfer window on Thursday evening.
This bid was rejected, as were a number of others for key players during January.
The Club also made offers to bring players in during the transfer window but unfortunately these bids were not successful.
This is not the final chance to sign players this season, and Wolves will continue to assess all options ahead of the emergency loan window re-opening next week.
How about Wolves confirm they have no ambition and lie to their fans about what's going on?
Because that is what is actually happening.
So we failed with our bids for players. Sounds all too familiar. I guessing the players we went weren't in the 5 - 10 million bracket, so if we really wanted them, how could we fail? It's because yet again Moxey puts penny pinching before real ambition. If we go down there's 2 people I blame Moxey and Morgan for not getting rid of this guy and appointing someone who actually know about football. On another note Danny Graham's move to sunderland looks like clearing the way for a loan move for Wickham. That is unless were expected to part with some cash at some point. MOXEY OUT. UTW.

Watched game last night and was really happy with the effort and passion shown, far better than the blackpool game. if we carry on with that we will finish in the top half and regroup in the summer. disappointed no back up in defence maybe he has a loan up his sleeve. we need to get behind them and create a good atmosphere at the rest of the home games.
Same old rubbish. Stale had players lined up but the xenophobes wanted him out. Now we have Morgan's puppet who had to start from scratch and came up with nothing because all he knows is League 1 players and below. As just an ordinary working. bloke to buy a season ticket is a big thing. It means. going without other things some of which effect the family. Didnt sell Ward as we only have once fit player at left back at the club. Not hard to work out.
Would of liked to have seen Edwards go, but cest la vie, moaning on here doesn't change things, and this is when the players need our support the most.
Ok guys time for a reality check.
Whatever did (or didn't) happen in the transfer window is over now and lets just hope the loan window will see some players in.
Our existing players are low in confidence and the only way to help that is to support them.
If you have ever been on a downer the last thing you want is another telling off!

To be fair we did put late bids in for No Hope and Bob Hope but even they turned us down when the saw the wages the Fat Controller was prepared to pay.
