Stop talking about new managers just because he played Saville left back. zengas choice of players. I predict lambert will spend 25m in the summer and we will be in top 3 by Christmas 2017.

19 Mar 2017 12:56:26
It was interesting hearing Doc talk about Saville a couple of days ago. Saville plied his trade at left back and was only converted to midfield recently, so people shouldn't really be shocked to see him there.

I don't buy this rubbish about the pressures of playing at home. Every team in the country has huge pressures to perform in front of there own supporters. Do wolves think it is only them that get a bit of stick. Look at some of the sides in the championship who play in front of much bigger crowds than us week in week out and they seem to cope. No more excuses it time for these cowards to put in performances week in week out at home, and start sending fans home happy again. UTW.

19 Mar 2017 19:48:11
We can keep on blaming this and that for our performances when we play at home, but at the end of the day we have got to get sorted because if our home form was up to scratch we would be in play offs.
Why we can beat top clubs and lose to bottom clubs as got to stop, and molineux performances as got to change, we have to attack at home from the off then you will see the fans get behind the team, but if we play at a slow pace and defend deep with only one striker at home we deserve everything we get, Wolves fans have always been used to 2 wingers with attacking football at home from the off not boreing slow build up play with only one up front like the Rotherham game which was one of the worst games I have seen.

Mooreroy,
I was at the Fulham match. Ironically Fulham played a bit like you want Wolves to play at home. Attacking football with two wide men. Luckily for Wolves they played a slow sideways-passing build up. I though Karl "the crab" Henry was playing for Fulham in disguise. Even in the final minutes they were passing every which way but forward.

20 Mar 2017 15:34:56
If we were to spend 25m in the summer, anything less than top 3 by Christmas would be a disgrace.

20 Mar 2017 16:00:12
We will probably have to spend a minimum of £25mil just to stand still. Costa has rumoured buy out clause for £25mil. If the PL come calling, he will be off (wouldn't you? ) . That equals nil expenditure
overall. If we spend £25mil on top of the Costa fee, anything less than top 2 would be disastrous.

20 Mar 2017 17:04:18
Top two next year? It takes years to build a side like Brighton have, even after spending big money. Just getting into the play offs would be a major achievement next year, especially considering Costa will leave.

I admit the squad is only 3-4 quality players away, but it takes ages for a team to gel. And we've seen before how difficult it is recruiting the right players.

Fair point but trying telling Fosun. Main reason we got into such a mess this season is that Fosun tried to run before they could walk.

Anyhow I don't agree that playoffs would be that major an achievement next season for us with 3-4 quality players added. Our away form this miserable season is playoff standard. Considering that home form should be better than away form then we did get the more difficult half of the equation right. If our home form this season had been better than away form (as it should be) then we might have been strong challengers.

20 Mar 2017 19:24:41
I don't think what Fosun did was the problem. I certainly didn't here any of the fans complaining about 13 new players coming in at the start of the season. The biggest problem has been the lack of carrying on what was started and the fear of dropping the 'old guard'. Everytime we revert to Price and co, it equals disappointment but we never seem to learn.

20 Mar 2017 21:37:18
Success takes money I've said it before but look at our best player this season he cost us 13m cav has shown is quality at times 7m Ben Marshall looks decent for 2m. We all no you can get bargains out there but 9 times out of 10 you've got to spend big money to get quality. I don't think the spending will be a problem for fosun the only problem they've got is who they'll ask to spend it.

Woy Hodgson according to Facebook this morning.

21 Mar 2017 12:46:20
Woy Hodgson? He's wubbish. We'd be welegated.

21 Mar 2017 14:04:14
But why Wolverhampton Wandewers? 🤔.

21 Mar 2017 15:27:04
I think Roy Hodgson would be a solid appointment for wolves and he's the kind of manager who has the knowledge to help fosun find there feet in English football. Love or loathe him he has a fantastic knowledge of game and he's well respected all over Europe. However I think that decision is for the summer right now we all need get behind PL and the boys and get away from the bottom of the league ASAP.

21 Mar 2017 18:08:48
Joking apart about Woy's speech impediment I think he would make a very decent interim coach for Wolves. His reputation and status would be immensely attractive to Fosun. But I suspect that Lambert is finally coming good and Wolves may go on a roll now. Long term, a Lambert younger track-suited type of coach is the better bet than a shorter term "safe pair of hands" Hodgson.

21 Mar 2017 20:10:27
I still see Fosun being interested in Karanka in the summer if results stay mediocre. No doubt he is in constant contact with Mendes about it.

22 Mar 2017 08:55:38
I did say last week Roy hodgson would suit wolves he'd b a great addition what do we do if pl keeps us up and just say we end up mid table roughly I thought I read somewhere that Middlesbrough were after hodgson.

22 Mar 2017 13:53:49
I'd be so gutted if we appointed Hodgson. Despise the fella after that final interview following the Iceland debacle.

If Hull go down and we don't stick with Lambert I'd be looking at Silva. Now he can speak English I'm sure Fosin/ Mendes could sell the vision to him.

22 Mar 2017 16:27:25
👍 just smith. If! Let's give him and the team a chance though. ⚽️👍😉.

19 Mar 2017 11:41:38
Wolves till I die. where is the moaning? 3 wins isn't going to compensate what has happened this season the deadwood still has to go. and the quality still has to come in. the only area we don't need at all is wingers and attacking midfielders. I'm sure we're in for a exciting summer.

19 Mar 2017 21:26:26
I agree 3 wins won't make up for this season but you can't blame lambert for that
Yes it's taken to long for him to make his mark but let's hope we can kick on now and get some momentum going have a good pre season and kick the crap out and bring 3 to 4 quality in.

20 Mar 2017 08:46:44
Define the crap in the club Wolves till I die. I believe we do have a lot of deadwood in the club, but I wanted to know who you thought is deadwood.

21 Mar 2017 08:06:16
Evans was dead wood till last week now he is number one choice as cm so it's hard to say

yes some players will leave in the summer as always I like Price but I think he is one we will sell and Bod I like too but he is now third choice up front these are not dead wood though and will have no trouble finding clubs interested.

21 Mar 2017 15:09:07
Price, Evans, Edwards, Bathh, Saville to name but a few are division one standard players at best.
Dicko, Bodvarsson, Ikeme, Hause, Doherty back up players at best.
The summer is make or break in my opinion who we sell will tell us what direction our club takes next.

21 Mar 2017 18:58:40
OMG.
I can not believe Edwards is in that list of deadwood/ league one players.
He's our top scorer, scoring 10 goals this season How many other midfielders in this league, this year have scored more? Not many. Take the goals Edwards has scored away this season for us we'd be up **** creek without a paddle.

22 Mar 2017 05:29:25
Yes he's scored 10 but most of the time he runs round like a headless chicken time to move him and the others on.

22 Mar 2017 08:07:56
Edwards is the type of player I would have in my team he never stops harrassing the opposition - exactly the player you don't want to play against-you don't have time to settle on the ball with him around!

22 Mar 2017 14:26:17
I'm never sure about Edwards. A few seasons ago he was almost out of the club, not even making Deano's lineup. Then he had some good seasons. And yes, he's done a lot this season too. But would a more commanding, creative midfielder be better? Someone who could distribute balls to the front 4 (as we now appear to have) rather than to grab a goal from time to time? That's what he was mostly doing last match I suppose, but if we still had Oniangue at the Mol I suspect he would work the ball better.

On the other hand, he's as Wolves as we've got now. He's fit, rarely being injured or booked or even substituted. Perfect for this division. But if we get promoted.

22 Mar 2017 17:43:03
I think Edwards is the perfect sub for any division from league 2 to the premier league he's the kind of player you need when you're 1-1 with 20 minute's to go and you can throw him on and he'll get you a goal. However I don't think you notice him that much if he doesn't score but I must admit he's one of only a few players who have been up for the fight this season so fair play to him.

23 Mar 2017 15:22:55
Good comments 1877stlukes, could not of said it any better, Edwards is what you have said he is to the club, and gives is all week in and week out.
Next year needs to be a big change if Fosun are true to there word and want to get into the big league if we are safe, we still have big, big matches comeing up and need to get some points on board, Molineux will be Lamberts big test, he as to start getting results at the Molineux and playing attacking football, there will be no more excuses if we don't get results I am sorry to say, I think they will move Lambert on if we don't start performing.
